Hey gang! Wazzup?
Been a while since I've done that, but I've called off at work (which is like 45 minutes away on a clear day) due to heavy snow, freezing rain and an interest in staying alive over risking my neck for an 8 hours shift while there are others living at 3 minutes from work who can take over for me.
Which means I get to spend a good deal of the day in your company. ^_^
A couple of years ago, I would have went anyway, risk or no risk, because work is important and my code of honor would keep me from missing out on a work shift because of it, if it was even somewhat remotely humanly possible to get there (although back then, I was rather depressed and less protective of my own safety). More recently, my experiences made me change my priorities somewhat and made me realize I'd feel pretty dumb (and I imagine my family and friends would think even more so) if I were to kill myself getting to work at all costs for a 8 hours shift I could live without and others could have done at a much lower risk.
Which led me, for some reason, to wonder... what is you guys' top priorities in life? Out of curiosity on my part, lol.
Me, it's my family, followed closely by my friends. To me, some of these people are the most important beings in this Universe as far as I'm concerned, and I'd do anything for them (or them for me). They are my main reason to live and be happy, because I want them to be happy too and I know how they'd feel if something happened to me (which is why I avoid taking risks unless it's really necessary).
