Welp, my first ComicCon. Hit it up on it's last day, with a small group of friends much less nerdy than I (in truth, I convinced my friend to go by suggesting we take his son as a birthday trip). Anyhow... Fun as it was people-watching (and, oh yes did I see many cosplay-women that set my imagination afire, even two or three that I friended on facebook previously)... it was... kind of... I dunno, lack-luster. Granted I didn't have any of the VIP passes, so I couldn't get within 50' of any of the big names there... I feel like the fun I **would** have had browsing/shopping was hindered by the thick crowds. So, a cool experience all in all... but, I dunno.
I feel like lots of people had free swag (posters/comics/etc), but I certainly didn't get any!
Is this what all ComicCon's are like? Had I shelled out the dough for a Meet&Greet, would things have been "cooler"?
