So, I have had a lot of pent up creative energy and I have been catching up on reading novels and games. I have come across a coupe of settings that I would like to do something with. One of them actually blew my mind and it has been awhile since a game idea has done that.
> Camelot Trigger: In humanity’s far future, a familiar tale is retold: a man named Arthur is crowned king. Brave knights rally to his standard, and in gigantic suits of armor, they clash with their great enemy in battles across the solar system. And as the epic struggle rages, the king finds his love and loyalty tested by his queen and his best knight… This is CAMELOT Trigger: the romance and intrigue of the classic Arthurian legend combined with the spectacle and scope of giant robot battles in space—one of the world’s most well-known and beloved stories played out in a setting of sci-fi action and high adventure.
> Wild Blue: This is a Weird West setting where the population were refugees to a new world/are/dimension where people were already there and a war ensued and the refugees won. Though this was many generations ago and no one really remembers what exactly happened and why. All seemed fine and then the powers started appear - most were minor powers - like changing the color of your spit and other parlor tricks but some people manifested major powers (super hero-esq level). Only one power is ever manifested and it always has some type of catch. The the characters play the Queens Wardens - law men that go anywhere and wear many hats. They deliver mail, settle disputes, investigate situations, can act as judge, jury, and executioner as well as inquisitors and bounty hunters. All Wardens have "major" powers.
> Door of Infinity: Adventure any where, any time. It sounds like a recipe for endless vacation right? It would be if not for all the crazies that want to undo the universe from either end. Nope, having your own time machine comes with a lot of responsibility. The heroes were
chosen by chance, fate or some higher order to step outside the ordinary fl ow of time, to see a wider vista than others were ever meant to see. They may do it reluctantly or without understanding their purpose in the beginning, but when they’re charged with shepherding the entire universe, eventually the will heed the call or everything might just cease to be. It’s their choice. With the whole of creation before them, it could be difficult to decide what to do. Sometimes they will find clues that they will want to check out later, but often adventure finds them no matter where they are. That is just the nature of being a hero.
The problem with these is MURPG does not really do it justice and there are other systems that might work on PbP. I have a few ideas that I would really like to try and I will make a poll. All of the ideas are to free to download and simple mechanics.
Anyway, thoughts? Comments? Feedback?
