Wolverine kept silent and just gestured for the aliens to enter the shelter. He was curious as to where they came from and where they were the whole night, hopefully another sanctuary or temporary cave and not anything sinister. But as he was about to question one, another spoke up in a language unknown to him so he remained silent and followed them inside still wary of any danger.

Logan's sharp curved fangs were seen as he smiled slightly as he noticed the interest in Human Torch's eyes when it rested upon one of the aliens. "Forget it kid. Been there, done that, ended with me being banished from..." he suddenly stopped and reminisced old times in his head while he left the rest of the story to the others imagination.

Iron Man is right about one thing, the aliens are seeking shelter. However, in the complex's vast central communications chamber. Reed Richards is currently focused on matters other than extraterrestrial linguistic translation.

"Hmm...I'd love to know what they're up to!" Captain America is saying as Wolverine, the Human Torch, Spider-Man (who still has a "Kick Me" sign on his back) and Iron Man lead a group of alien refugees into the chamber.

The Hulk, modulator in hand, returns to continue his conversations with Reed Richards and Captain America. She-Hulk moved that 30-ton particle accelerator to the power plant, Cap! Once I install this modulator, we'll be good to go Reed. With that the Hulk finishes the job he set out to do.

Iron Man walked into the communication chamber at the head of the refugee group, taking in the sights on the huge monitor screens displaying images from around the Beyonder's world. Rhodey was quite impressed to see that Reed Richards had managed to make so much headway into figuring out the alien technology so quickly, but the opportunity to keep tabs on the villains' lair and even the world-eating Galactus did not take his mind off of their current situation.

"We've got some guests," he said to Cap, Reed and the Hulk, even as he indicated the aliens who had come to their new base for some shelter, "I don't know where the Beyonder snatched these guys from, but apparently he didn't feel the need to keep them safe when this storm started up. I don't think they've got anywhere else to go..."

Even though the heroes were not best equipped to play host to these strange alien visitors, they could not exactly turn them away. Iron Man was sure the others would agree.

I hate to say it, but we might have to get proactive, actually head out there and scout around some. Take a vehicle, maybe, since web fluid doesn't grow on trees and I can't figure out any of these alien doohickeys well enough to replicate some.

Spider-Man didn't relish the idea of heading out into the alien environment, but after all, wasn't that what he did back home, more or less? Go on patrol and wait for the bad guys to reveal themselves?

Oh, and I hope we have a lot more beds and blankets he said, gesturing nonchalantly to their new friends.

Magnus watched the storm rage on with the fury of a powerful god. Just how long would he have to stay in this forsaken planet?

"Reminds me of Ororo." he muttered to himself/

Dominating a bizarre, alien plain, a menacing structure far more massive than any on Earth stands!

It is a fortress of awesome strength! Yet, it shudders as though made of straw before the incomprehensible power of the storm-- a storm whose fury would tear a mortal limb from limb in an instant!

Far more dangerous than the storm outside the fortress, however, is the man within!

"Great Hulk," Captain America says before addressing the other heroes. "Of course we cannot turn them away, Iron Man, but we need to be sure their intentions are not hostile."

"As for Spider-Man's suggestion," Captain America ponders, "I figure the enemy will gamble on one desperate all-out attack...probably as soon as the storm breaks! Now that we have guests, we can't allow that to happen. It's against my better judgement but a preemptive strike may be just what we need!"

"You're probably right about their plans, Cap," Iron Man considered their options for a moment or two, "If the bad guys are waiting for this storm to break before they make their move, maybe we can get the drop on them? Thor can control storms like this... and can't one of those mutant X-Men do the same? Between them, we might be able to clear ourselves a path through this bad weather to catch the villains by surprise."

It was only a suggestion, especially since Iron Man had no idea if their resident weather manipulators would be up to the challenge of taming this alien tempest or not. But Rhodey agreed with Spider-Man: they needed to get proactive. And if there was a possible way for them to surprise their enemies with an unexpected strike, they had to try and take that chance, before the villains came up with a new strategy of their own.

"Well, count me in, but Webheads' suggestion is a good one. I don't know how long my flame will stay lit out in THAT." he muttered. "Yo webs, how about we look around this place, grab a vehicle big enough to get Ben and Hulk in, and maybe scare up some silly string for you to use as webs. Feeling peckish, so some munchies wouldn't go amiss either."

ACTIONS

Suggest he and Spidey explore the place (Torch can fly and carry Spiderman if required) to find:

A large flying/transport vehicle
Web fluid or something for Spidey to make some (or maybe a black costume )
Some munchies

Finding snacks just became the most appealing part of this mission. Spider-Man quipped. The Match Stick and I can go scout things out... if we think we've got time before the storm breaks anyway. We don't want to lose the benefit of surprise here.

... sure wish we had some way of leveling the playing field. Anybody know if Magneto has officially joined up with them yet? Might be worth taking a crack at getting him to join us, if only for the duration of the fight. We can use every possible advantage.

BAH! What's a little rain to the Hulk? The Hulk looks over at Captain America, I can assault their base if you'd like. Assuming we know the location. Have you been able to ascertain the location of the enemy, Reed?

"Yes, Storm of the X-Men has the power to manipulate weather patterns, and may also be able to negotiate a treatise with Magneto," says Captain America. "Wolverine, could you speak with her?"

"We are so far in possession of a large flier, a walker and a flying sub," Mister Fantastic adds. "I can provide Ben with the coordinates needed, but is it wise to send the Thing, the Hulk and Thor on this mission?"

"We need Thor here, which is why having Storm on board with this plan is so critical. As for the Thing, he's the best pilot we have and it'll take the best to fly a team safely through this tempest." Captain America obviously doesn't know that James Rhodes is Iron Man and what he can do. "Human Torch. Spider-Man. I'm sure our guests are hungry as well. Take them with you to the Auto-Kitchen and then direct them to available living quarters."

Reed Richards now turns to the Hulk. "Doctor Banner, now that you have finished installing that modulator, let's can try transmitting a carrier signal to Magneto. Iron Man, we can use your electronics expertise as well. How do you suggest we secure the telecommunication once we have modulated the periodic waveform?" Mister Fantastic obviously doesn't know that James Rhodes is Iron Man and what he can't do.

When Spidey turns to go, Captain America calls out, "Torch! Take that silly sign off Spider-Man's back!"

Huh? With his characteristic grace, Spidey reached behind his back and grabbed the sign, but decided to play it cool. I knew that was there. I have spider-senses you know. I just didn't want to make Torch feel bad. If that haircut is any indication, his self-esteem is already pretty low.
