Hello, everyone! Just found the forum this evening but, I've known and worked with the system for quite a while now; I love it.
I was just wondering if anyone here has some custom rules for less powerful games. The book describes your average human of having a 1 in pretty much every stat but, what about a little kid? I was thinking of bumping /everything/ up a notch but, that seems like it'd be a load of work so, what are your thoughts?

Firest, welcome aboard! I hope you'll have fun around here. ^_^ The system has always been lacking for the very low powered level. If you really want to make a low-powered setting (like a normal human/weak superhuman game or something), reworking the D&R chart values for said ranges (or rather entirely) could be a good idea. Now, if you merely want the stats of a young child and not change anything, I'd go with this. Int: 1 (Kids aren't dumb, but they don't know enough nor are developed enough to have more than this.) Str: 0 (Most GMs - myself included, consider that you can lift small, light objects without using stones in Strength. Having 0, a young child could only lift said objects.) Agl: 0 or 1, depending on how young and/or naturally agile. I'd say most kids have 0 until 5 years old tops, and after that, they get the 1 they need to start doing things like climbing everywhere and sneaking where they shouldn't go. XD Spd: 0 or 1, depending on the age again. Even with 0 Speed, you can still go at 5 mph. Should cover most young kids' speed. Dur: 1. Can't really live or do anything without this one. Actions: None for very young, maybe 1 Social Skills for young children, and one thing or two more dependin on background, if appropriate. In general, just the abilities and/or the Social Skills can do the trick. Modifiers: None Challenges: Several, lol. Should cover all your bases. ...Which are belong to us. XD

Ohhh, I wasn't sure about using 0s but, that makes sense now; awesome! Also, yeah, adding several challenges to characters makes them more like standard humans (being wage slaves, relationships, obeying laws...). I'll work with it and see what comes up!
