Imagination, the most powerful gift ever to grace humanity, both equal parts terrifying and beautiful in scope, form and function. Nothing they say, is more pure than a childs imagination, it would amaze some mortal beings to find out how true that statement us. For in a world past our own lies The Veil , a realm birthed and born by the ever changing orchestra of childrens imaginations. The existence of the Veil is a necessity for its inhabitants, you see the Veil is not a place for mortals to trespass too, no. This realm is where imagination goes to live after a mortal has no need for it anymore, or to put it in to cruder terms, this is where your Imaginary Friends go when the child no longer needs them. Whether there purpose was for protection, companionship, or just someone to hug, all denizens of The Veil once new the love of a child. But even within the Veil there are both the good and the bad, and sometimes learning the difference between the two can be a painful learning experience...
The Setting: The Veil is a world of imagination turned reality, where old Imaginary friends migrate too after their child has grown up. Within this new world there are set lands, countries, cities, borders, mostly run by some of the oldest people to inhabit the realm. For the most part these lands are run according to their civilian makeup(i.e. more medieval themed friends will live in a land of fiefdoms and the like, while a nation of imaginary dogs might be more of a commune ) The largest dangers in this realms come from the "Nightmare Realm" just as Imaginary friends who are for the most part good natured entities, the Nightmare realm is a land that breaches and intersects with the Veil and sends all sorts of terrible beasties and creatures into the Veil
Enter the Players: The players will start in a city known as Way Up, the closest thing I can describe it as in the New York City of The Veil. Players will take on the role of "Guardians" which are the in a similar vein to the Jedi, they are a loose peace keeping force spread throughout the entirety of The Veil. You can be either a long term member of The Guardians or a newer recruit
Character Crunch: Still with me? Good! Stone Count will be 30+10 for this game as I want a lot of room for growth. While making your characters keep in mind of the theme and setting. Your characters are not only Guardians but old Imaginary friends, what did that do to your PC when you wound up in The Veil? Please keep your characters power and abilities to a central theme, and I welcome talking shop and brainstorming with anyone who might need a nudge or just to shoot ideas off of me. Looking for 5-6 players Deadline TBD
I think that's about all I need for now, questions, comments, post them below
