I was thinking about rewriting Vulcan's origin (or one of the other Summers brothers, haven't settled anything, just a raw idea) so that he ended up away from the others and being raised in space like a pirate. Then after a crash (more or less like Corsair's original one) and an awkward meeting with his brother(s), he would be staying on Earth and Xavier's to be both schooled and "safe" from his father's crazy adventures. That would depend on already being some X-Men team already or our characters being the first class and so on (and the idea really working on your plans, of course)

Assuming we can agree on one (what I feel is, anyway) fairly minor point, Dionon's Colossus looks great, and is pretty much a shoe-in.
I'm not familiar with Vulcan in particular. I know that he's the "third Summers brother" and has similar powers, but that's about it. By the time he showed up I wasn't reading anymore. I feel like he lacks "name value" without one of the other Summers boys in play, so if nobody opts to play one, I'll likely include Scott as an NPC member of the inaugural class of X-Men.

The idea is more about "What if a Summers brother was raised in space as a pirate?" than playing Vulcan himself (I picked him due to being the barely used, poorly managed, retconned one and leaving the other two alone) so the idea could work with Scott or Alex, depending on if you like the idea and how it would work the whole "I was raised as a space adventurer, I'm over all this school thing even if I'm really not and I'm just a mouthy teenager" thing with any of the three brothers. |

With the way things are shaping up in terms of the team you guys are bringing to the table... I'm thinking that, unless it interferes with someone's background, I'm going to have the story pick up with Xavier assembling a new team in the wake of the death of Jean Grey, with some of the original members stepping away. I haven't gotten a background from SES yet (I'm working with him, he's new to the system, but a friend of mine from another board and a bright young guy that I'm very happy to have around), but assuming Warren and Bobby are both "originals" it'll work out well, there will still be enough of the "old blood" for Jean's death to be meaningful... even if Warren is in no shape to mourn it just now.
Thoughts or objections?
