Princess Diana of Themyscira is the heir apparent to her Mother's throne, raised to honor the Amazonian traditions in every word and deed. Though she respects her Mother and the Amazonian traditions, Diana is fascinated by the outside world, and dreams of traveling in the world of man, perhaps even finding a way to bridge the gap between Amazon and man and bring about genuine diplomatic relations. However, Diana also has a deep-seated distrust of men, instilled in her by her Mother and her other tutors. She believes men to be treacherous and generally untrustworthy. Still, Diana is an idealist, and believes that she can inspire both cultures to greater things, and to mutual understanding.
