The world as you have always known it is defined by the existence of meta-humans. Mutants now make up roughly one quarter of Earth's population, and they are hardly alone. Inhumans, A.I's with bio-organic bodies, sentient plants, technologists that make Tony Stark seem like a caveman by comparison, even Asgardians living on Earth... the world you've known is completely unlike the world 100 years ago, when powers were relatively rare and technology limited. In the year 2115, the line between Corporation, Religion, and Government, already badly blurred in the 21st century, is almost impossible to distinguish. Massive corporate entities control most aspects of life, and even the poorest citizens have access to technologies that would seem all but inconceivable to anyone but the most optimistic futurists in the 21st Century.
But now your world is in peril. The exact nature of the threat is difficult to discern, but one thing seems certain; the seed was hatched in Old New York, on Christmas Day, in the year 2015. If whatever happened back then cannot be averted, life as you know it will cease to exist. Its time to step up. Are you ready?

In the flavor of the old "2099" lines, this is a one-shot exploration of super powered beings from the next century, traveling to the current time to hopefully avert a world-shattering crisis before it can truly begin. In the world of 2115, "super heroes" are no longer a reality. Super powers are so commonplace and technology so advanced that it is difficult to truly stand out. In addition, much of the population is mollified by readily available entertainment and cheap food and medical supplies so that they don't seem to mind the lack of basic personal freedoms.
Perhaps your character is different, or perhaps they have a job that requires them to look deeper than most (corporate enforcement agent, etc). Perhaps they secretly harbor dreams of one day Assembling the Avengers once again or uniting a ragtag band of Mutants to once and for all ensure their place in the human world. Perhaps they're caught up in something bigger than themselves. Whatever the reason, its time for a New Heroic Age.
Stone Count is 60 +10, with the usual 313 House Rules applicable. Mutant is still a 3 stone challenge. Characters taking up the mantle of a previously existing Marvel Hero from the modern era (the 21st century) receive 5 additional stones with which to work, but those stones must be dedicated directly toward incorporating some element or elements of the previous characters legacy.
