Well, let me know if there are any specific details to tweak/know about/steer clear of/etc. Is Dhark still tinkering with Spuerboy? The Luthor/Kal-El clone would be a funny dynamic... I have a rookie Guy Gardner in that he likes. I tossed another attempted Superboy today, backing off of the telekinesis approach. Might or might not be liked, still falls well short of where my fanboy levels want him. Next up... Grayson. Even harder since Nightwing is among my faves as far as dc Characters go.

I'm a Guy Gardner fan, so that's cool. I still cherish my favorite comic book, JLI #1, where Batman punches Guy out and the poor GL wakes up in issue #5 or so...lol...

I never liked his art, but I enjoyed the personality

I'm waffling between a vaudevillian Zatanna and a humanist/true believer (maybe something like Matrix Supergirl)
For a Zatanna inspired character Im also considering some kind of underdog who looks to Luther for validation

I'm waffling between a vaudevillian Zatanna You realize that its 2015 and Vaudeville hasn't been a thing in at least half a century, right? 8)

The idea is exactly that: a starving bohemian type clinging to a dying art and looks to Luthor as like a savior

I'm working on buffing up my previous Creeper submission a little bit (and banking some stones).

I have a (very) rough pitch of a version of Steel that I am working on and modifying. The basic idea is a salt-of-the-earth factory worker for LexCorp who when put in the spotlight shows his true mettle (no pun intended) for heroism.
Powered Armor Mechanics make me sad, especially when I'm paying for everything at cost.

Yep. It's what made me drop my Dick Grayson / Batman Beyond idea. :-p

PA Mechanics in the RAW make me sad.
"How can I have twice as many stones as everyone else? Oh, right, play a PA character/robot!" *sigh*

To be fair, most of MURPG RAW makes me sad, and usually not because I have the problem of wanting to build over-the-top gamebreakers. It's more often "I don't even understand what this means".

LuthorCorp R&D, somewhere in mainland China
Despite the long flight, Lex Luthor looked perfectly pressed as always in a fashionable but subtle white suit. Truth be told, the open collar bothered him, he felt more comfortable wearing a tie, but this was how businessmen dressed these days, and Luthor wanted to project the image of a titan of industry. Only politicians wore ties these days, it seemed, and being seen as a politician could be bad for his future political ambitions. The only other occupant of the elevator was Mercy Graves, a statuesque woman with a warrior's skills and a fierce loyalty to Luthor that made her invaluable. Not only was she his driver and constant companion, she was the only one that could keep the day-to-day operations of the company going if anything should happen to Lex. Her light brown hair was worn in a severe bun, and she was dressed in business attire of equally severe cut, but it did nothing to hide her great beauty. It was often remarked that, different hair and eye color aside, she bore a remarkable resemblance to Wonder Woman. Both remained silent on the long ride as they descended further and further beneath the surface, but Mercy occasionally pecked at one of her phones. Lex personally never carried one.
When the doors opened, they found Professor Anthony Ivo awaiting them, along with a LuthorCorp security team. Ivo was a nervous man, sometimes even twitchy, which irritated Lex to no end, but Ivo's brilliance could not be denied. He had even once created a "genetic machine" that combined the traits of Superman and Batman. He dubbed it "Composite Superman," which Lex found to be unforgivably bad branding... but the thing had managed to almost defeat the pair, who only survived due to the timely intervention of Batman's sidekick. It had taken some doing for Lex to get Ivo out of prison, and if the investment didn't pay off, Lex Luthor would be severely disappointed. No one, especially not Anthony Ivo, wanted to see Lex Luthor disappointed.
Ivo was a thin man, not robust like Lex, which was another thing Lex disdained. Lex considered himself the complete man; fit in both mind and body, while men like Ivo felt it acceptable to neglect the physical aspect of their lives.
"Mister Luthor, so pleased to finally have you here at the facility. I've been sending you progress reports..."
Lex looked to Mercy, who nodded. Lex, of course, hadn't read any such reports. If any of the results showed promise, Mercy would let him know.
"... but first, how is your health?"
"Ivo, I have the best doctors in the world working on that. You focus on what I'm paying you for. Paying, I might add, a tremendous amount of money."
Ivo swallowed hard, and turned. "If you'll follow me, Sir. Actually, you've come at a good time. We've had an incredible breakthrough with the translator in the past seventeen hours, based on those samples of Kryptonian writing you sent. Where did you say that you got them again?"
Lex followed Ivo down the long, sterile corridor, and Mercy stayed close to Lex, even though danger within these confines was extremely unlikely. "I didn't."
"Ah, well, anyway, yes, there does seem to be a significant amount of linguistic drift. The sample you sent seems to be much more recent than what we have on-site. The difference is comparable to the difference between Classical Greek and Modern Greek, so not insurmountable." They reached a door, which slid open at Ivo's approach, admitting them to a massive hangar holding a massive machine, hundreds of meters long. It looked to have survived, if only barely, a crash and perhaps a battle, with large charred holes all along the hull, and a single much larger hole where it seemed to have collided with something else. It took the eye a moment to take it all in but it was, unmistakably, a space ship of unearthly origin.
Through a force field, another area was visible that held two rows of twenty cylinders, each with something man-sized floating in it.
Lex had not seen the ship up close in some time, and still found it awe-inspiring. "The specimens?"
"The ship's life support did its best, but it was left with only minimal power, and the event was several millenia ago. Most of them are damaged far beyond possibility of rejuvenation. Three are potentially viable, but we can't identify which crew members they might have been, and after today's discovery, it might not be advisable to bring anyone back without knowing who they were."
Lex turned his attention on Ivo, really looking at him for the first time since he'd arrived. "Tell me."
"We were able to decipher most of the ship's log, so we started combing through it, starting with the most recent entries. It was just as you had suspected, Sir. The so-called Superman is not the first Kryptonian to visit Earth. These came as part of a scientific mission while humanity was still in its nascent stages. You're familiar with the warlord Vandal Savage? I find it quite likely that, if his story of once having been some kind of caveman is true, the 'rock' he discovered that transformed him was something that came from this very vessel, or something like it."
"So they came all of this way... and all they wanted to do was look around?" Lex was dubious.
"It seems they didn't realize how our yellow sun would affect them, but yes, they were only interested in exploration and research. They had no intentions of conquering the planet which, even without powers, would have been easy enough with their technology. I doubt Earth would fight back against such technology now, much less then."
"What a waste" Lex grunted in disgust.
"As you say. But it seems they weren't entirely without ambition. Not all of them, at any rate. The crew was primarily made up of scientists, but three soldiers were sent along to protect the mission." As they spoke, they passed out of the hangar where the ship was held into the smaller lab, where the forty crew, or portions of them, were suspended in liquid meant to preserve their bodies. "One of them, a General apparently, was named Dru-Zod. His companions were Ursa, a female, and Non. When they discovered the powers granted them by our sun, Dru-Zod insisted that they take Earth as a colony for their world, but the scientists resisted him."
Ivo was growing visibly excited now. "Sir, it seems like the burn holes in the ship were from Dru-Zod and his allies attacking their own crew."
Lex paused, looking at the specimens in the tanks. "Admirable. They resisted him, so he forced them to bend to his will."
"Well, Mister Luthor, Sir, he tried, it seems. At any rate, since we can't know if any of the half-dozen or so fully intact specimens might be this 'Zod' character or one of his allies, it would be unwise to reanimate them. Imagine fully trained Kryptonian soldiers, with powers like those of Superman, loose on Earth."
Lex put his hand to a tank. It contained the full body of a man, tall and powerful, dark haired like Superman, but bearded. Like Superman, he had a noble bearing, but Lex sensed something else. Something primal, something predatory. Something Lex was intimately familiar with. Looking at the same figure, Mercy involuntarily shuddered. Lex saw it, but chose not to say anything about it.
"This one. I want you to focus on getting him back. Bathe him in red solar radiation constantly, but wake him up, Ivo."
"Sir... that's..."
"Insane?" Lex smiled.
