Since time immemorial, existence has been defined by cause and effect. Forces beyond conventional comprehension brought about the birth of everything, which then led to the Big Bang. The Big Bang led to the formation of the fundamental elements of the universe and the celestial bodies that we now know as stars and planets. In turn, the first signs of sentient life vied for control and survival as the worlds they inhabited were but motes in the grand scheme of the cosmos. Then, civilization sparked the fires of existentialism, innovation, and ambition. And thus, arrived the tales of legend...of heroes and villains, leaders and followers, saviors and marauders, creation and destruction, order and chaos...salvation and perdition...good and evil.
Now, the fate of this everything...this...universe...lies in the palm of your hand! Shape the destiny of your world through your actions, encounter a colorful cast of peers, explore realms of wonder and adventure, and tread through a journey unlike any other!
In other words, this is a crossover affair wherein several fictional (if not, all) franchises and realities fuse into one semi-cohesive whole. I know that this has been done several times before on this forum, but I at the very least wanted to do my personal twist on things. But of course, it's you (the players) that shape the course of the story.
Essentially, it will be structured in a fashion similar to the Marvel Cinematic Universe approach...wherein participants will have issues/chapters/tales/whatever of their own (perhaps cameos, misunderstanding fights, and team-ups from time-to-time), and topple enormous threats every once in a while. I'd allow multiple characters from the same poster as long as (s)he can handle it, with no stone limit (as long as you don't go overboard).
As far as characters allowed, they have to be those that:
- Come from an already-established fictional universe, series, and/or franchise (e.g. Marvel, Capcom).
- Come from some form of alternate dimension, reality, or timeline of the former bullet.
- Come from some mythology (religious or otherwise), hoax, theory, belief, or legend (e.g. King Arthur, Dracula).
- Are historical figures (e.g. Theodore Roosevelt, Musashi Miyamoto).
- Are fictionalized or sensationalized versions of real-world figures (e.g. Stephen Colbert, Mark "The Undertaker" Calaway).
I can start with one person, but the more the merrier I say!
