Ready to Rumble!!! Nightcrawler is at a diner, letting his indigo-skinned mutant-freak flag fly. He used to use an image inducer as a form of disguise, but stowed it away somewhere because he wants to live life as he appears. Now he's faced with a difficult decision. What should he order? Nightcrawler Stunt Points: 6/6 Nightcrawler Health: 6/6

It's 1985 and the jukebox plays '99 Luftballons'. The Dreemburger is greasy and over-cooked. The tables and floor are sticky. The smell of dirty fryers and the sound of a chef yelling permeates the senses. A couple, who were sitting in a booth across the diner from Nightcrawler's table, now stand on their seats, waving guns in the air and shouting, "This is a stickup! Nobody move!"

The man aims his gun right in the middle of Nightcrawler's face and pulls back the hammer.
The woman asks, "What's goin' on?"
"Looks like we got a vigilante in our midst," answers the man.
"Shoot 'em in the face!"

Teleportation, Variable, Activation Roll (but see description) - The character can teleport within a range equal to his or her Move plus 20 for each point in this Gift without making a roll. If the character wants to try to teleport further distances, the Gamekeeper chooses the target difficulty and an Activation Roll is required (difficulty increases as distance increases – failure may result in the character failing to teleport – or may result in the character teleporting to the wrong location!).
Sample Tags: Disappear in a burst of smoke or energy, fade away and become transparent until he or she completely disappears, zip out of existence, etc.

Grabbing something isn't covered in the handbook, but in this instance, I think that we should use the following: Roll die + Quick = Total If this beats the target's defense than the item was grabbed because of the element of surprise. Because this isn't a straight combat action, Nightcrawler's Defence is -2. This is only a factor if someone tries to attack him before the next round. A note on the spelling of "Defence". The game was published in the United Kingdom and that's how they spell it. q_txa7y31d6+31d6+3

Nighcrawler teleports but fails to grab the gun from the man, who now freaks out and fires his gun at Nightcrawler.

BLAM!Nightcrawler got shot! The small gun does 2 damage. (See house rule for damage at murpg.proboards.com/post/465009 .) Nightcrawler is down to 4 Health. "What is it, Bobby? What is it?" the lady robber cries, keeping her eye on the rest of the crowd. "I think it's a mutant, Clea," Bobby replies. The gunshot also alert a young man who just entered the diner to meet his friend Kurt Wagner, Piotr Rasputin!
