Schools for superheroes are nothing new. For years, the X-Men have operated a school for gifted youngsters, training fledgling new mutants how to survive a world that hates and fears them. More recently, institutions like the Avengers Academy and Future Foundation have begun to develop youngsters blessed with fantastic abilities into the next generation of Earth's mightiest heroes. But while schools like this may exist to nurture the heroes of tomorrow, what about the teenage tearaways who would prefer to use their powers for their own personal gain? What about a school for super villains rather than heroes? The infamous Hellfire Club have spotted this proverbial gap in the market. Taking a page out of the book of their X-Men adversaries, the club's newly re-established Inner Circle have used their vast resources to scour the globe for promising young recruits. These troubled but powerful youths have all been invited to enrol at the highly exclusive Hellfire Academy: a secret school to create a new generation of costumed criminals. By unleashing a new breed of supervillains onto an unsuspecting world, the Hellfire Club hopes to both keep their usual heroic opposition occupied (and therefore distracted from dealing with the Inner Circle's other nefarious plans), as well as promoting a healthy level of fear in the populace they can leverage for financial gain through the sale of Sentinels and other 'deterrents' the club can sell to the highest bidder. But the formation of the Hellfire Academy has not gone completely unnoticed, no matter how clandestine the Inner Circle have been in it's creation. Emma Frost, premier mutant telepath and former White Queen of the Hellfire Club in her own right, has kept a watchful eye on the plotting and scheming of her old cohorts. After getting word of their latest venture, Ms Frost took immediate action to make sure the club would not be allowed to mold a generation of vulnerable children in their image. Emma reached out to a small, select handful of the prospective recruits the Hellfire Club had tapped for enrolment in their new academy; those she sensed had the potential for heroism rather than villainy, despite what the club may believe about them. Emma's new Hellions will brave the worst the Hellfire Academy has to offer, in an effort to uncover the secrets of the Inner Circle and save their fellow recruits from being corrupted by the club's influence. Will these brave youngsters manage to bring about the downfall of the Hellfire Academy from the inside? Or will their exposure to the darker side of the costumed crowd prove to be too tempting to resist when they discover it really is fun being bad? ------------------------------------------------------------ So this would be a Marvel academy game, albeit at a school for bad guys rather than heroes. Your characters would be all-new recruits plucked from around the world (or even further afield if you want to be an alien, time traveler, etc) by the Hellfire Club to enrol at their new Hellfire Academy; however, you would also have been secretly contacted by Emma Frost to help her stop the club's Inner Circle and prevent the Academy molding the next generation of supervillains. Characters would be made using 25 stones plus up to a maximum of 10 more from challenges. You would need to be relatively young (say, high school to college age) and inexperienced enough to require training, but otherwise there's no restrictions on the type of character you can be. The only requirement is that you would need to seem bad enough to attract the Hellfire Club's attention, whether that's because of prior criminal behaviour or the kind of power that doesn't really lend itself to anything other than being a villain. But you would also still need to have enough of a heroic streak that Emma would think you might help her work against the club instead of genuinely going along with everything they're teaching at their academy. If anyone's interested in playing, let me know!

Canned (or at least turned to "pure theoretic") the original idea in favour of something else.
An old and new concept of mine in a way, so might or might not flow with the gm but I've got some nice points on the plus for it.
Powers are my (possibly all time) favourite package of telepathy telekenesis and force shield but in a more " tech entered" variant/style
Technokinesis (telekinesis limited to artificially created, preferably "tech" material) -> think levitating cables/wires gear wheels swirling and whirling Tazer guns taking on a life of Thor own and such.
Technopathy (telepathy but on bots/comps/A.I. and such.. well and bio computings I guess)
Tech shield (see technokinesis for the images for your head) high velocity whirling spiralling turning and tumbling of small tech gimmicks, "industrial standard" hardened steel balls side by side with blinking light diodes and whipping cables. Deflecting danger through a combination of "being there on time" to block and simply hitting the stuff off their trajectory line by force of impulse.
Male high int character bla bla, basicly my old drill ;-) 'll still need some fine tuning .. for setting and the mathymathy.. But should be "cool" and "awesome" Possibly "too high powerish" or "overused ish" but that 'd be gm / fellow player decision as I'm comfortable with such a beast.
Can and WILL totally come up with a nice alternative if that'd be the wish.. But I'll leave that decision up to others. At least I'm confidant I could make it work. Other story/plot advantage of this idea is that he'd be an ideal asset for "there will be sentinels" future scenarios, for the hellfire club (both sides). And the possibility of sending out "anonymous" killer drones as well as the ease of "security system" abuse could pave the way for a good long time career for villainism
Flavour wise fully cybernetic eyes are up for discussion, nationality and family issues still to flesh out (if it would get a go), but likely some "underprivileged" borderline slum historic background. Toss in a "fortunate" discovery by ruthless criminals, gangs or other amoral groups and so forth and so on
... Regardless of the actual concept I'd be interested in additional player x player entanglements. For the Technomancer most likely a straight light "positive" relationship like: (he) male on female (girlfriend) Or best friends, Uncomplicated one directional crush (either way), An "your powers are SOO awesome" fanboy/girl + a "sure I'm cool, don't blaming you" Etcetc.
For the "alternative" concept it can (but doesn't need to) go darker then that. Creep stalking (either way) One way crush meets harsh rebuke (not much fun for the charas but for the players maybe) Criminial/victimised Etc etc.
Not going too deep into detail just yet, we'ok see to it when we get to it.
As to the secondary or "alternative" chars concept/idea Thinking about a "pure" mental psychic, with only immaterial powers. Induce fear, subtitle and pretty much "untraceable" suggestions (not showing up on the normal telepathic radar. You'd pretty much have to scan his mind/memory actively to see any non mundane influence at all, and even then "he might just immagine he caused it" might be assumed. Possibly minor illusions but with "psychosomatic" side effects. Code name would be something like Mind Master, .. unknowingly another illegitimate child of Mastermind This time a boy however ;-) not some super hot blond psychosomatic chick for a change.
This one 'll likely come from a "highly privileged" and closer to hellfire club core recruitment material.
Well that's it for the my day. Not I need to get my int based energy pool recharged heavily. As to have some good fresh juice to work with when I get to reading your response(s)

hey guy sorry PMing isn't working for me right now have to put this in a post but ill try to figure that out tonight! for me its 611 am sunday lol gotta get to work Hey I am deeply interested in this game and wanted to run a concept and then have a cad to you within 24 hours I was thinking a mischief type guy like loki hes always playing pranks and getting in trouble in class at the private school he attends in Hollywood his mutant ability is illusion and altering memory-the altering memory only applies to his illusions giving the belief to a nerd his head was really dunked in the water but it wasn't which is why he finds himself wondering why he isn't wet after or why only one minute has passed since before and after. hes smart and interested in technology but rarely explores it so he isnt pegged a nerd. he also has 2 minor mutations one is useless but the tips of his jet black hair turns green the other is his his ability to charge and object to make it explode but its very underdeveloped he uses it on locks and such. his father is a ceo of a up and coming pharmaceutical company and his mother is a researcher in ancient civilizations and their cultures myths an beliefs. she believes that magic is real and wants to prove it scientifically. He goes to Holly Wood Heights and has a crush on his Spanish teacher im thinking he is 16 going on 17 pretty soon. if I don't hear anything back ill go ahead and send a cad thank you
