Just read an article saying they're in production for a live series based on the Teen Titans. I don't know what to think about this, but will probably watch if they can grab Ron Perlman as Deathstroke.

Wow, I thought they cancelled that project! I've done some digging and it looks like they're about to start filming, with plans to release the first season in fall of 2018. They've already cast a young Australian girl to play Raven. No word on any other actors yet, but it looks like they've mentioned that Robin and Starfire will also be in the series. It's unclear if it's going to tie into the Arrowverse, but it sounds to me that it will at least start in its own universe. It's not on the CW, and if the actress playing Raven is any indicator, they might be going for a much younger cast. TV versions of Teen Titans have generally been aimed at pretty young audiences. Who knows what the future will hold, though. EDIT: Forgot to mention, some of the producers have worked with the Arrowverse shows, so that's a clue. However, one of the producers also wrote Batman & Robin. The Movie. Yeah, that one. He also worked on Fringe, though, and I love that show. Honestly who knows.

I mean Alex Kurtzman's worked on everything he's like the name they just tack onto the credits lol...I guessed him randomly and got it right. But yeah I'm kinda dubious of the 13 year old playing Raven. Still holding out hope for the voice of Slade coming to play Deathstroke.

Cast photos have been released. Saw a meme labeling the show "Teen Hookers". Never seen a more accurate meme. Not going to watch this unless they recast everyone and hire new costume crew.
The actress they cast as Starfire looks more like a bad Jynx (from Pokemon) cosplayer.

Looks worse than Inhumans... which had to have taken significant effort.

I gather the set photos are from a scene where the characters are out in their civilian clothes. Those aren't their real super hero costumes. I mean, this is what Robin looks like: So I'm semi-confident the others will look more appropriate at the right time.

I'm starting to lose confidence in this show.
And I'm usually a half-glass-full kinda guy.

That Starfire image looks awful, but I think its important to remember that set photos often don't do justice to how things look on the screen, with all of the things they can do with lighting, and "touching up" images, and so on.
Additionally, I think the statement she put out about this was a pretty fair one. Context might matter here. Maybe she's supposed to look silly here, maybe its some misunderstanding about Earth culture or something. Who knows?
Unlike Savant, I have NO confidence in this show and I never have, but I don't think that we can really judge anything from the leaked set photos. I'll give the show a chance. I'd be happy to be proven wrong.

(But that image of Starfire does look freakishly like that... what I can only assume is a Pokemon or a parody of a pokemon?)

I'm assuming the coat is because they're probably filming in Vancouver in the winter and it's freaking freezing, so that's not part of her costume. But the dress ... oy ...
