Does anyone want to play or run a Runaways universe game that features new original player made characters for the team? I would propose putting the new team on the East Coast so as not to step on the toes of the original Runaways on the West Coast. But maybe some of those characters can make guest appearances in certain scenarios? Who's interested?

Welcome to Miami South Ridge High School. Home of the Spartans. Also noted to be the 5th most violent school in the entire state of Florida with annual reports of over 100 cases of violent fighting in addition to the reports of drug use, sexual harassment, theft, and possession of illegal weapons. The students who attend this school better be tough. Because a lot of them never graduate. Some of them don't even survive to graduation. The high school athletic programs are the only programs of any noted participation or success. No silver spoons here. Which is why eyebrows were raised when a new principal was appointed. A white principal at that. Mr. Keegan. He was a barrell of a man, as thick around as two lesser men, a hardass, ex-military. His eyes were hard and his rules were even stricter. He started a new regime with a brand new staff. They even instituted a 'higher learning program' that was greeted with a great degree of skepticism. You either had the misfortune of already attending school here, had to transfer after a recent move by your parents for 'job related' reasons, or had been earmarked for the 'higher learning program' and found yourself appalled at where it was actually located but your parents or guardians had already signed off. 30+10 stones. Top stat max of 5, top action number of 5, top modifier of 3. You may begin play vaguely aware of your powers or completely unaware and needing a triggering event to 'awaken', your choice. You may already be enrolled or a new transfer. Again your choice. You will find out how you, your parents, or your guardians fit in, and more about the new principal, staff, and other students through game events. Go ahead and send cads if you have a character concept. The story and idea are more important at this point. Especially about your character background, family and friend relationships. Some CAD editing probably will be needed before game start. I'd recommend using a character portrait as well.

Additional game info: Just like Runaways tv show - expect a feeling of there's more than meets the eye here. also expect some supernatural occurrences, mystery, violence, crime, etc. you know -- like high school but tougher and weirder. :-) Quick Snapshot of Miami: worldpopulationreview.com/us-cities/miami-population/Population of around 440k 68% hispanic including those of Cuban or Latin American origins, 12% nonhispanic caucasians 19% african american, haitians and bahamas 1% asian .2% native americans including tribes such as seminole, creek, tequesta etc. and of course various other national origins who immigrated to miami over the past few decades. Due to a flurry of construction in the early 2000's, Miami enjoys the 4th largest/highest skyline in the US, trailing only New York, Chicago, and Houston.

You can use split durability rules if it makes sense and you break it down. Or you can simply go by DUR or INT based energy. Doesn't matter a great deal to me as long as the costs and overall level of it make sense for the game.
I've reviewed a few entries and sent comments back already. But there's still plenty of time for more submissions. When I get at least 4 interested players with workable characters/CADS we can set up the board and get started.
