The year is 2025, and you are some of the first people with powers the world has ever seen. These strange abilities started to appear after a enormous solar flare ripped through our galaxy that left the world without power for 48 hours. Scientists believe this release of radiation unlocked or even mutated a dormant part of the brain (the Node) that gives those who are awakened these strange and sometimes powerful abilities. The very first metahuman was a fireman who discovered (by accident) that he was immune to fire or environmental dangers of any kind. People have mixed feelings about these new metahumans. About half support them (the non villains anyway) and the other half want them studied or registered. Nothing is set on concrete and these mumblings are the start of a cold civil war so to speak. All of your characters have some sort of relationship (they know each other) and have decided to come together to see what they are going to do. ______________________________ THE SYSTEMThe Supercrew is a rules light supers RPG that is from Sweden. It is formatted as a comic book and is pretty genius - especially for only being 28 pages long (it is a diamond in the rough). It is very narrative driven and outside of the usual background, name, etc. of character creation players get to choose and describe three abilities or powers. One power is rated at 1d6, the second and most used is 2d6, and the third and most powerful is 3d6 (which requires a hero point to be spent). Then there are three tricks the player outlines as well. The really cool thing about the powers is there is no hard use definitions - so things are left up to how creative you want to get with them. Rolls outside of the use of abilities is handled by either a single d6 roll or if it relates to something in your background a 2d6. Successes count on a 4, 5, and 6 result. Generally once success is needed outside of combat and more difficult tasks that require multiple successes. I will add rules for advancement and the like. Here is an example of some characters; Rorshach3: Skill: Detective – “ Last night, a comedian died in New York. Somebody knows why. Somebody knows.”2: Attack: Street Fighter – “This city is afraid of me.”1: Equipment: Gas-Powered Grappling GunTricks:Re-roll: Unexpected Action (Gas Powered Grappling Gun – “Tactically brilliant, and unpredictable.”Die is a 5: Gain Info (Detective) – “Give me smallest finger on man’s hand. I’ll produce information.”Effect 2: Everything is a Weapon (Street Fighter) – in the story, he uses a toilet bowl, a fork, cooking fat, a cigarette, all as weapons. Captain America1 - Absolute peak of human physical ability 2 - Vibranium shield 3 - Inspirational leadership Reroll (Inpirational leadership) - Patriotism Change roll to '5' (Vibranium shield) - Throw shield Effect 2 (Vibranium shield) - Defend others

I am a fan of rules-lite narrative driven games. Thanks for posting this. Ya, it is a really impressive. It sucks that the guys website is in Swedish buy I am having a buddy design an English version of the character sheet. I really just like how it let's the player get really creative with power uses. The comic is written as a really cool one shot - the players are all playing dnd and they hear trouble one the radio anf have to make excuses to leave the game to go be super heroes and save that day. I am bummed that print form is no longer active. I was going to try to run a using Supercrew or a modified Freeform Universal.

This looks really neat, I think I'm in!
Can you tell us more about how the three powers work?

This looks really neat, I think I'm in! Can you tell us more about how the three powers work? Yep. So, basically as seen in the examples above you choose three powers and rate then 1d6, 2d6, and 3d6. The poers are very open ended in their use. So, if you can narrate how you can use flight to help put our a fire then perfect. You could have a power of claws and you can use your claws for combat, to climb, burrow, create sparks if they are metal, etc. It is really about your own creativity. The game handles initiative in a unique way - everyone declares what they want to do and roll the dice then they act in order of effect (each 4,5, or 6 is considered an effective or success). Ties happen at the same time and you can change your action when your turn comes up. If you haven't attacked in the turn you can use you main power or a "super defense" and roll 2d6. If you have already acted then you get a reflexive defense that is single d6. You get a hero point for using your 1d6 power and you have to spend a hero point to use your 3d6 power. Thank you! What about the other abilities; the reroll and such. How do they work?

There are three tricks and each trick is tied to one of the abilities.
Reroll (reroll all the ability dice)
Change one dice to 5 (after the roll)
And effect 2 (you forgo the toll and automatically get 2 successes or effects.)
Tricks have descriptors that are in the character examples above. They help make characters more unique.
Each trick can be used once per session.
There is also an anecdote bonus where you remember something that happened in the past and you get a bonus dice for the roll. Some house rules include that is along the same lines is offering a bonus dice for a monomogue, a catch phrase, a heroic pose, etc. Each one can only be used once per session.
I also recommend checking out the pdf. It is a blast to read and I actually really like the art style

That's awesome. I'll read through the pdf for sure.
I hope we can get some more players in here. Where is everyone? Who else wants to try out a new system for a change of pace?

I’m broadly interested depending on the underlying story.

Yep. Rules lite and really awesome.
The basic premise is you are part of the people with powers the world has ever seen - year one. So, the world does not know how to deal with then yet and there are many organizations that have ideas.
Even an extreme wrestling league has arisen as people with super powers wrestle each other in WWE flare.
Not sure if I want people at teenager level or young adults.
