OOC No need to roll on this...
Green Arrow searched, looked here and there, up and down...
Aside from the vehicle lift, tools, some paperwork for parts and maintenance... It was a garage. Whatever was in the other warehouse in those crates wasn't in here. Frustrated, feeling that time was running out, Green Arrow made sure no stone was unturned in this place. Nothing of interest. Unless you were a mechanic. He'd drawn a blank, and had to get out through the skylight and rearrange it so no one knew he'd been it if he didn't want to spook this lot even more.
That woman was still out there.
And so was this 'partner' she spoke about.
As he looked about for the way out of the garage he heard a noise from the lock and voices nearby outside.
Someone was coming in!

Oliver quickly but quietly climbs up to exit out the skylight before he is spotted.

I'll take the 19 instead of risking a lower score with the double threes.

Moving at speed Green Arrow leaps to an overhead rail/rafter, then hauled himself up and towards the skylight whilst holding the removed skylight plastic cover in between his ankles.
It took a little bit of manipulation but he settled it in place as the door to the garage opened... Did he get in covered in time?
OOC Dex + 19 (27) vs OV 8 + Roll(2d12)+0: 7,5,+0 Total: 20
+4 EV (to 13 Dex) vs RV 8 = 5 RAPs (success).
With a sigh of relief Green Arrow settle the cover in place just as the garage opened and the woman ran in followed by two guards with guns drawn.
"There was a sound in here, I'm sure of it!" said a guard. GA peered through the gap. As a seasoned and expert martial artist he could appreciate the skills of another and knew he was gazing on someone who could give him a very serious run for his money. Who was she and what was that comment about dealing with Archers? He couldn't think of a time he'd encountered her, so who could she be referring to?
Meanwhile, he was lying on the roof, exposed with floodlights shining on him though any eyes were at ground level as far as he knew. He was still in the warehouse complex and needed to get out one way or another unless he wanted to wait it out.
A glance over at the warehouse he'd been in before showed a fork lift truck going back and forth to load into the truck.
OOC Perception check for Green Arrow.

Could Oliver sneak onto the truck and stay there without being discovered? The ride to Bellevue could give him enough time to open one of the crates, with the noise of the truck masking any sounds he makes. Green Arrow decides it will be worth a shot if he can make it to the tuck without being discovered.
Dice Action = Thief: 8 (Stealth) to get in the truck without being discovered.

27 - solid
Is it 27 roll plus 8 for Thief = 35 OR 27 roll plus 9 Dex = 36?

OOC It defaults to the link Stat. Dex in this case. Skills are done in this way because as written they were pretty useless, simply cancelling out an unskilled bonus because most of the time they were linked. With more dice to roll people like Batman can compete on a slightly more even footing when he's with the Justice League, for example. I wanted 'world class' skill to mean it, and with the greater potential for doubles it seems to be working. Next I need to look at the cost of skills seeing as they are far more useful, but that's for homegrown characters.
Stealth check Dex 9 + 27 = 36 -8 Team Attack on Perception (28 total. Effectively a team attack by all the guards and workers in attendance on high alert) vs Perception Int 6 (highest Int in attendance) + Roll(2d12)+0: 7,10,+0 Total: 23
It seems impossible but Green Arrow is able to move via the shadows and wait until its safe to duck between the patrols and scale onto the roof of the truck, lying flat to avoid detection from eye level.
He hears the woman call out "We have an intruder! Keep your eyes peeled! Call out if you see anything or anyone!" in her accented voice.
They thought they knew 'someone' was knocking about because it was likely given his botched attempt to get into the place yesterday but hopefully would be chasing shadows for now.
Sweat rolled down his face despite the cool night breeze. There were more than 10 guards in attendance and that woman seemed to know what she was doing. She was posting guards all about and seemed determined that not only was someone there but they were still on site.
"He's here!" she hissed. "Somewhere..." she mutters under her breath as she walks past the truck and back into the warehouse. "STAY ALERT!" she yells. "IF ANYONE LETS THEM GET PAST HIM THEIR PAY WILL BE CUT AND YOU'LL HAVE TO FACE ME!"
"Wouldn't mind that!" chuckles a guard quietly to another as they watch her go.
There was a pause, then the added "I uh, didn't mean it in that..."
THWACK! Thud.
"Anyone else? No? Well keep your eyes open. Get him in the office. I'll speak to him later. Be in no doubt. I am in charge of security now, and slackers will feel my wrath!" came her voice again.
Green Arrow waited...
OOC Gonna ride it out and see where the truck goes or take another opportunity (if one presents) to look about this place, despite it being on full (high) alert? It's too risky for him to peer over the top of the truck without being seen (another roll with modifiers) but for now it seems he's hidden where he is.

My goal was to get inside the truck with the boxes. I’m on top of it, but that gives me no access to a crate, correct?

OOC There are too many guards about (watching, guarding, loading) plus the mysterious woman to get inside the Truck, but anything is possible with a high enough (read: a few doubles) roll. I'll be looking on the modifier list somewhere in the 'impossible' region. I assumed you were riding on the truck to its destination if possible and take a look when you get there. By all means if you want to try and sneak inside the truck, make the Stealth roll... failure means detection, and all hell breaking loose (we're probably due some action. All this sneaking about is tense but the adventure as written is low on action, hence the lady and her friend - whoever that is - who are there to spice things up...)

Seeing as he can't get into one of the crates from his position and now knowing that at least a couple guards are going to enter the office, Green Arrow decides to tail them. He needs to see how they get inside. Oliver has very good eyesight, he is an archer, and if he can see what the alarm code is, then he'll be able to enter the business office without needing to mess with wiring again.
Dice Action = Thief: 8 (Stealth) Tailing the guards to the business office. They should be both distracted and slowed down by carrying the unconscious man the woman knocked out. Hopefully their awkwardness at the door makes them careless as well, giving Green Arrow the entry info he needs.

20 + 9 Dex for 29 (I'm glad I didn't try to enter the truck instead.)
I forgot if we are using Hero Points. Is that still a thing?

OOC Skills replace the need to burn through Hero Points like crazy. A 'make your own luck' type of game set up. You could spend Hero Points but you start spending points at the five die mark(as Green Arrow gets four free dice from his world class skill level) which makes it pointlessly expensive. It's an option, of course, but not a wise one to take.
GA Stealth Dex 9 + 20 - 8 (Team Attack) (21) vs Perception 6 (highest score) + Roll(2d12)+0: 9,6,+0 Total:21 Oooh! Maybe a chance to spot our hero!
Perception 6 vs Dex 9 = 0RAPs. Failed.Once more Green Arrow slips off the roof of the truck and evades notice despite seemingly passing through groups of guards who look the other way in their efforts to spot the madman who is supposedly running about. It's not easy - and he thinks the woman might spot him - but she passes her eyes over where he waits in the shadows and starts barking orders to find the intruder! Breathing a sigh of relief he moves opposite the office and watches the pair of guards move to the keypad. Moving to the side and sneaking as low/quiet as he can he pulls up his binoculars and prays the guard doesn't obscure his view. The hand moves to the pad... 4... 5... 1... 2... Yes! Green Arrow stays hidden in the shadows and knows the code to get into the office now. That just leaves waiting it out till the heat dies down or getting out of here and coming back later...
