Experience for this game will be Lines of Experience. There are a few different ways to earn these experience/Reputation rewards which will be explained below:
Reputation will be a modifier that affect will your world standing. The reputation you will receive will either be classified as paragon or renegade. The actions you do, will dictate what type of reputation you will receive. Paragon actions will be factor into heroism and renegade will factor vigilante. Depending on your reputation you will have various different type of groups that are going to reach out to you in different ways. Heroism will get your more of a public eye opinion, cut the red tape during government intervention and. Renegade reputation will you earn more of a feared reputation while may be bad in the public eye but you acquire things that can't be access through normal means For example criminal underworld.
Reputation automatically will start at 0. At the end of every issue, I will be assigning reputation points based on your actions. You can have a balanced reputation but you will not be taking the full effectiveness of the modifier but also you will not be taking the full advantage of the modifier. However you will not be suffering the disadvantages of both.
Reputation can be used with social skills when under your costume persona.
1: Villain Take Down
NPC villains will have THREAT value. This represents how dangerous a particular villain can be, and also how difficult it may be to shut them down in a long term way.
If you are able to leave a villain in a position where they are no longer a threat for the rest of the game, must be a long term situation; simply defeating the villain is not going to be enough if they can simply recover and come back to cause trouble. You will earn a number of lines of experience to the that character's Threat value.
- Paragon Action: waiting for the cops to show up lock the villain up permanently and take them to custody yourself will earn you half the threat value (be aware they can still break out of imprisonment and seek vengeance)
Renegade action: Crippling the Villain permanently, physically or mentally to somehow end his criminal career (still someone related to the villain can seek revenge etc.)
2: Evil Organizations Take down
evil organization's will also have a threat value.
Some villains will work in an organization generally under a super villain, or a group of individuals. This represents how dangerous a particular Organization's can be, and also how difficult it may be to shut them down in a long term way/ Short term way.
Of course some organizations are spread world wide so crippling an operation within the organization will give you experience and reputation as well.
- Depending on how you take down the operation or hurt the organization will give you either Heroism or vigilante reputation points
3: Cataclysmic Event's
will also have a threat value as well, Natural Disasters are such events.
Preventing a Cataclysmic impending doom that can have drastic affects on the world, will earn you reputation and additional lines of experience
- depending how you save the world will either earn you Heroism or vigilante
4: SITUATIONAL REWARDS
- As the game progresses, certain situations will arise where there will be additional opportunities to earn experience rewards. These will be specific to the situation at hand.
- If a situational reward presents itself, all eligible characters will be made aware of what they need to do to earn the reward, as well as any potential consequences if they go proceed.
Non-Hero experience
- Even when not in costume, you can earn reputation and experience by accomplishing goals and furthering deep relationship with NPC will experience. If you keep on ignoring your personal life and continue on living the hero life, it can severely affect your life and also leads to dire consequences.
