Zues had recently been accepted into his town's Hero Establishment. The Hero Establishment's name for his city was Salón Heroic, which housed a few famous local heroes, including some in his own family. Zeus was to report to the Hero Establishment at 7pm sharp in order to receive his orientation. This gave him a few hours to relax until orientation began.
Zeus' new temporary dwelling place had just received the last of his things shipped to him as requested. It did take some time to get 100% of all his requested things there, but that's only because his father was spiteful towards the whole thing. He didn't hear them, but he was told his father had some words for his abrupt departure. Of course, this humorous to hear for Jesus, who adored the mixture of confusion and shock on his father's face when he announced to his parents of his new place of living.
Zeus was now on his own for the time being. That could be temporary, though, as he would most likely be asked to live in the Hero Establishment he was accepted into. That was optional, however, so the choice would definitely be his to take if he wished it. Only in North America and Asia was it required that you live inside the Hero Establishment to accept you, so he could stay in his new living area should he want to. For now, though, he was free from his immediate family.
A knock at the door would put Zeus in a state of alert, as he was not expecting anything else. All of his things had already been delivered, so he had to wonder who could be knocking at his door. He opened the door to see nobody at his door, but a letter at his feet. Opening the letter, he'd read the following:
"Jesús Cazador, or as far as your hero name goes, Zeus, I require your assistance with something important. Please, come to these coordinates so that we may meet in person. Excuse the mysterious and vague aspect of this letter, but I am just being cautious by not divulging too much information. I will be waiting at the coordinates at 6pm. I hope to see you there.
-D"
The letter simply had the few sentences, with coordinates showing a hotel building a few miles from Salón Heroic. This was certainly odd. To receive a such a letter out of the blue before his orientation? He still had a few hours before orientation and this mysterious meeting, so he had some time to think about where he'd like to go. Whatever this meeting was, it could potentially make him late to his orientation, so he'd have to choose if he'd even go to the meeting or not.
---
OOC: Welcome to the game, Black Sam. Here is your starting post where you have an appointment at 7pm for the Hero Establishment for orientation, and have also received a last minute invitation from an unknown source just an hour prior to your orientation. You can choose where you'd like to go for your first post, while getting your feet placed on the ground of this game.

Zeus picked up the note and read it once, then again, his expression ever more incredulous.
He'd flown over straight from the celebration, and after an unfortunate run-in with a high-flying hoard of migrating dragonflies – pantala flavescens, he recalled from an article in the Buenos Aires Herald last week, tiny little yellow goo-filled things – he'd headed straight for the bathtub.
He turned the letter over as if to look for clues, and considered briefly flying out after whoever'd let it – but most likely it was one of the hotel attendants. Besides, he wasn't wearing his vambraces and that could be embarrassing. What he was wearing a bath robe. So that was a no.
He dropped the paper onto the coffee table where he'd set up his laptop and grabbed an energy drink from the refrigerator – his cousin Marcy was straight-up addicted to the things, so much that her shiny metal face was the sponsor painted on the label. Chugging half the drink before reaching the living room of the Presidential suite, he returned to his seat.
"Now, where were we..."
He'd been researching other heroes-in-training currently enrolled at the Salón Heroic – the competition, in his mind. It never hurt to have an advantage over his peers; a lesson he'd learned in law school. Still, the letter drew his attention and he considered it a moment before shaking his head.
"I don't think so," he said to himself. Best case scenario, it was someone playing cloak-and-dagger with him, in which case they should have contacted his Uncle, Erebus. Worst case, it was a clever wanna-be fan wanting who-knew-what. How did they find him here, anyway? He'd only made arrangements to stay at Miss Mercury's perpetually-rented penthouse last night. It was one of the few world-class hotels in Buenos Ares that had no connection to her family, having been provided by her TV studio contracts. He knew Erebus crashed here when he was in town, and the hotel conveniently overlooked the establishment he'd be attending; a quick hop out the window and Zeus would arrive at orientation in less than two minutes.
No, he wouldn't be meeting with any mysterious strangers today. Wouldn't that make delicious clickbait in a future tabloid?
He glanced at the hotel named on the letter and looked up the proposed meeting place. Picking up the phone, he dialed the number, waiting for an attendant to pick up.
"Hello? Yes, this is Jesús Cazador – Yes, I was supposed to meet someone there this evening and I won't be able to make it. Could you leave a message for anyone asking for me? Yes, please tell them that I'm sorry our schedules came into conflict, but that I will reach out to them when I am available. Yes, thank you very much. Oh – one more thing. It is very important that whoever delivers my message also jot down the time it was delivered, is that okay? Yes, thanks, I will be by in a day or two to check back."
Pleased with himself, Zeus leaned back in the sumptuous sofa and smirked. He could play obnoxious games, too...
"Now, where were we?"

Zeus sends his message over the telephone to the hotel receptionist, leaving instructions for whoever this mysterious person was.
The receptionist was tentative, but attentive. She took down Zeus' message and confirmed with him it's what he wanted.
"Understood, sir. I am unsure who may have sent this message to you, but I will ask my manager if they know anything. Will there be anything else? ...Thank you for contacting us, and have a lovely day." She said as she hung up. (OOC: unless you had anything more to add.)
Sitting down proud of himself, Zeus smirked knowing this would put a damper in this mysterious person's plans. Oh well, it was their own fault for being so roundabout. Zeus would continue relaxing until it was time for his orientation, doing any type of research he could on the competition.
He stumbled upon some names of those who would be attending with him, but other than their names, hardly any information was there. He did find someone's social media page showing information on one of the people he'd be attending orientation with. "Golden Leg" was the name he chose for himself, and his power was that of "Super Legs" as his page put it. Other than that, he was unable to find much of anything else regarding his competition.
...
The moment arrived for orientation to begins shortly. With just a small trip to Salón Heroic, Zeus could leave whenever he felt like.

OOC: Please let me know how early, on time or late you wish to be. When you enter you will be going through the front building and speaking with a receptionist. Please go ahead and post your arrival to Salón Heroic.

Five minutes before his appointment with Salón Heroic, Zeus finished dressing and stopped to add a dab of Roja Haute Luxe to his neck. The spicy, sensual cologne was ridiculously overpriced, but he'd developed a fondness for it while living abroad; a touch of his recent past to remind himself how close he was to seizing his destiny. He stepped out onto the balcony and channeled the living current inside him so that his feet no longer touched the stonework, gliding out from the building down to the government facility across the street. He smiled as a passerby on the wide street below looked up and marveled – it was a sight regular commuters here would come to enjoy regularly. He wasn't nervous or excited, really. He felt entitled to this. He'd worked hard to be worthy of the honor, even though he secretly viewed hero establishments as a frivolous tradition. He was very curious about what his immediate future held, though, and the mysterious message from hours before was already forgotten. With a minute to spare, Zeus alighted at the front entrance of Roja Haute Luxe, dressed in the snug, black-and-gold jumpsuit that accentuated his athletic build and bearing. He spared a pause to check his hair in a reflection, then walked confidently into his future. Zeus enters into the building after being sure everything was just right. As he walked in, he was immediately greeted by a man wearing an all black suit.
"Señor Cazador. I am glad to see you decided to come on time." He said looking at his watch to confirm he was indeed on time. "Others may not share that sentiment. They wish to make a grand entry it seems." He said rolling his eyes while turning his back to Zeus and simply stating "Come." for Zeus to follow. "My name is Morales, I only go by surname. Please refer to me as such. I shall be guiding you through your orientation today." He said walking further into the building.
Salón Heroic was very beautiful from a cultural standpoint. It represented the city, if not the country well. The establishment building was not very busy as it seemed not too many staff was stationed there, but that could potentially be because they were further inside. The only people around were receptionists and people running miscellaneous tasks.
"Señor, I wish to make one thing clear to you before we begin your orientation. Everyone here at Salón Heroic understands where you come from. Your family has made quite the mark here in this very establishment, and this country even. But with that said I honestly hope you do not expect any free passes due to that fact. We judge based on individual status, not that of your family's. Whereas we expect great things from you BECAUSE you come from your family, we shall evaluate you like everyone else to see those great things." He, again, said rolling his eyes. The two continued to walk further into the building.
"Señor Morales.." A woman came up to Morales and handed him a letter while whispering in his ear. She then promptly left after delivering the letter.
"You've been delivered a letter apparently.." He said taking the letter and reading it. "Mr Zeus, I have attempted to contact you before and we were unable to meet. I understand you may be busy, but please see me at the given coordinates after your orientation for urgent needs, and..."The man sighed while balling up the paper, not bothering to read the rest. "I'm sorry, Señor. Again, no special treatment for you here. Please do not forward your mail here until you've properly moved in.." He shook his head.
The two arrived to a door where the man stopped and turned to face Zeus.
"Your first assignment will be a written examination behind this door. But before we begin I would ask you if you had any questions or concerns?" He asked Zeus.

"Señor Cazador," the black-suited man greeted him. Zeus followed him further into the building, nodding while the man spoke. "Thank you, Señor Morales," he answered. "I would like to think that promptness is my signature preference, and I appreciate your candor. I have no more time for games than you, rest assured."
Zeus took time to appreciate the facility as they walked. Although his family was deeply rooted in this place, he'd never actually visited before. He considered himself to be very "international," but he also felt a modicum of pride in his homeland. He looked upon the Salón Heroic with approval. "Señor, I wish to make one thing clear to you before we begin your orientation," Morales continued. "Everyone here at Salón Heroic understands where you come from. Your family has made quite the mark here in this very establishment, and this country even. But with that said I honestly hope you do not expect any free passes due to that fact. We judge based on individual status, not that of your family's. Whereas we expect great things from you BECAUSE you come from your family, we shall evaluate you like everyone else to see those great things." "I understand," he replied. "I think you'll find me to be somewhere between 'my own man' and, well, a Cazador."He watched as the woman delivered the letter – from his admirer? He took Morales' disapproval ins stride. "Nothing like that, Señor. Perhaps other applicants have had incidents with adoring fans? Stalkers, perhaps? This is a bit of that, nothing I can't resolve quietly."Morales nodded, changing the subject when they reached the interior door. "Your first assignment will be a written examination behind this door," he explained to Zeus. "But before we begin I would ask you if you had any questions or concerns?" "I'm confident that my questions will be answered during orientation, though I admit I am somewhat surprised to hear of an examination at this point. Am I to assume that this is some sort of psychological profile? Or perhaps you're screening for academic preparedness...?"He shrugged, as if to say the answer was inconsequential. It was just another formality on the path to his destiny. "But please, I said my questions could wait. Lead the way."HEALTH: 4/4 ENERGY: 12/12 RESERVE ENERGY: 0 ACTION ONE: 4 stones into Statecraft to make an ally of Señor Morales ACTION TWO: none ATTACK: none DEFENSE: 4 (Toughness, +1 uniform) MODIFIERS: Toughness 3 HEALTH: 4/4 ENERGY: 8/12 ABSORBED ENERGY: 0 REGENERATION: 6[/quote]

"Hm. This is good to know, then." He nodded.
"The latter part is my concern." He continues on.
"Hmm. Nothing like that as of yet, this is the first. At least for me. Regardless, once you decide to room with us here, then you can allow your fans' send letters here.
"Make no mistake, Señor. You have been accepted into our establishment. This examination is as you guessed; A psychological profiling of sorts. There is no failing this examination, but we should be able to see where you stand when it comes to your heroic goals. Do not feel threatened despite whatever the examination may state." He said as he stopped walking. "Hmm. That last part was intended to be confidential.." He said as he pondered something, looking back to Zeus. "Please disregard the last statement I made. It was...a slip of the tongue." He continued walking, opening the door to the examination room.
So far Morales was calculated in whatever he said and did. The 'slip of the tongue' excuse might not hold up to be very true at all. In either case, the two walked into the examination room where paper, pens and a desk could be found.
"Please take a seat, and we shall begin the examination." He stated. "I will be asking you questions, Señor. You are to write your answers down on the paper in front of you. After your examination I shall introduce you to your mentor. He said taking a seat himself.
"You said you'd wait to ask your questions. If you have any, ask them now. If not, we shall begin." He nodded to Zeus.

Zeus didn't buy the "slip of the tongue" statement one bit. It did let him know that they were very serious about the psychological profile; ranking it more akin to a professional criminal profiling than a personality assessment. With that, he knew better than to prevaricate or dissemble, as those would send up huge red flags about him. Besides, he didn't have anything to hide – were his motives purely altruistic? No. Of course not – anyone who pretended so was a liar. Regardless, he was a man of honor, and he well understood the concept of duty, even though it was often more of a shackles to him than an inspiration
No, he would do as was expected. One day he would make his own mark and throw off all shackles, but that day was too far away to place any more than the smallest measure of hope in it. Today he would meet all the qualifications to be a hero, and tomorrow, well, they would see.
Without answering, Zeus took a seat and picked up the pencil provided, looking at Señor Morales expectantly.

After sitting down, Zeus took his pencil and waited for Morales to start.
"...Very well, Señor." He said preparing to start the examination. Looking down at the paper, Zeus noticed a question on the sheet, but it was oddly worded, and didn't make too much sense.
"Low level villain: How did you react? The first question asked. That's all the sheet asked. There was another sheet under the first sheet.
"Hostage situation: How did you react?"
Again, just the one lined question on the sheet. There was another sheet below the second sheet, however Zeus couldn't check the other question or questions, as Morales began speaking.
"Now then, Señor." Morales stated, while pointing directly at Zeus. "How would you handle-"
Zeus' consciousness faded, then came back instantly. However, he was now on the streets of his town.
---
OOC: Alright, Samuel! Zeus is currently going through a mental examination with Morales, where Morales brings the questions to life. In Zeus' mind, the questions Morales asks becomes real life scenarios where you'll act and spend stones as you normally would. Think of it like X-men's Danger Room, only it's in your head. However, Zeus is unaware of the test being given. It's as if he's just living in the moment like he just stumbled upon the situation at hand. So you'll have to react without knowledge of this being a test. If you have any questions for clarification reasons, let me know.
---
On the streets of his city, Zeus sees a large man standing above bodies laying on the street. Zeus could count 2 bodies around the man laying on the ground unconscious, most likely dead.
"Another fool come to 'stop me.' Come to your death, child." The man said as he approached Zeus.

Zeus crinkled the left side of his face at the test question. His mind raced to a politically correct answer, then...stopped. He looked over to the scene before him, only vaguely wondering how he got there. Looming larger in his mind was the threat the man posed, and adrenaline began beating in his veins without his consent. He paused to collect himself. Forcing out a breath, his eyes narrowed and he clamped down on the instinct to fight or flee. "Yes, it is my duty to stop you. Perhaps you should surrender now so that you don't get hurt..."
As Zeus spoke, his eyes shone with angry lightning and a low buzz filled the air with menace. Holding out his hands, electricity arced from transformers on either side of the street, lighting him up with a shining golden aura. "Now, lay down on the ground and I will summon medical attention for your victims. Resist, and I will be forced to summon medical attention for you as well..."

With a loud snarl, the man simply continues towards Zeus with no intentions of surrendering.
Now more angered, the large man went from a walk to a run as he saw the energy Zeus was gaining. Lucky enough, the man was far enough away that he would have to cover the distance to get to Zeus. With the distance not covered in time, he was ripe for zapping away, as again the man had no intentions of surrendering to Zeus.

Zeus gave his last warning to the man. The man did not heed Zeus' warning, and continued approaching him. Getting out of his reach by flight, Zeus now hovered in the sky over the man. The man simply growled at Zeus. With no other option other than growling, the man looked around, and spotted a weapon for himself. He walked over to a street light and began trying to rip it out of the street. The man's strength must have been above average for a human, as he was able to move the lamp a small amount. Given more time, this man could potentially take the lamp out of the ground and use it as a weapon..
"You wish to be a fly in the sky? Then I shall swat you down!" The man barked, still trying to take the street light for himself.

The man didn't seem like a supervillain, but he did seem crazy as hell. Definitely on drugs. The thought filled him with disgust. "A fly? Zeus, still in the air, looked down at this man who was attempting to rip out a street lamp. As a small amount of time passed, the man was nearly getting the lamp out of the concrete of the ground. Gathering his newly absorbed lightning Zeus sent zaps of his power down on this man. Lightning streamed onto the man as his body was tensing up while being hit. It did not help that this man was holding onto a metal lamp either, as the lamp's lightbulb had shattered.
The initial shock of being zapped by Zeus' lightning allowed the man to completely rip out the street lamp out of the ground. However, he immediately dropped it after being shocked enough. After awhile, the lightning passed from the man's body, and he was still standing.
"P-p-p-pinche c-cabrón..." The man growled while weakly being able to look up at Zeus still in the air. "Th-that...hurt..me..." The man said struggling to move his body to his liking. It looked like this man was stunned a bit for the time being.
