McCoy momentarily scowled at Wisdom. "Your name is wasted upon you good sir. As to the mission, once I take off my confining shoes, I'm game."

Shaw indulges Peter's request, sending for someone to discretely bring his gear along with the others', and for good measure, an assortment of other small arms and tactical gear. He explains that he's not certain what electronics will work once you cross the breach, but believes most simple mechanical objects should still work. Shaw starts the machine, and, soon after, you are through. Passing through the portal, you can still feel Emma's psychic connection, though it is greatly dulled and can no longer hear her thoughts. It is strong enough to tether to as a link back, but otherwise it appears that for now, you are on your own. As you get your bearings, you see a young white-haired teenager zip by you at break-neck speed: "I'm late! I'm late! For a very important date! No time to say hello! Goodbye! I'm late, I'm late, I'm late!" He exclaims, before speeding off into an impossibly small passageway, one apparently much too small for him to fit through, though he somehow manages. A shaken man appears alongside you, seemingly out of thin air. "Are you...are you here for the tea party?" He stammers. Holding out his hand, a small box materializes into it, holding six small vials with a card reading in ornate handwriting - "Drink me." Taking one, he swallows it, shrinking almost instantly as he flies off after the boy. As he does, you get the distinct impression you are being watched. ================================================= [[OOC: In addition to your normal gear, feel free to take one "small" tactical gear item you want each for this adventure - knives, guns, body armor etc. Each will provide a +1 Equipment bonus as appropriate. Let me know in the OOC thread if you are taking anything and what it is.]]

As the group takes in their new environment, a second figure appears before them, again seemingly from thin air. With a grin far too wide to be natural, she menaces: "What are you doing in my prison?" "Intruders! Usurpers! Traitors!" She points at you in accusation. "Seize them! Off with their heads!" She cries. A blank faced man appears, clearly bewitched as were the two men before him. He stomps his foot, and another, identical copy splits off from his body, appearing along side him. The process repeats, with another, and a fourth, a fifth, and very soon you are matched by identical copies of The Multiple Man. What's more, the woman begins chanting in a language only Peter has a glimmer of understanding - the language of the fairy folk. And soon, it is as if the whole wood seems alive, as the trees and shrubs themselves begin to move, branches and vines twisting about. Though only Peter recognizes the language, the woman's appearance evokes an image familiar to anyone who grew up learning British folk legends: Morgana Pendragon, Morgan le Fay. Meanwhile, Quicksilver and Hank Pym remain unseen, though the box of Pym particles lies where the Ant-Man dropped it.

"Well that was....abrasive," Peter says as he shakes his head to get his bearings. He removes his twin pistols to give them a once over before holstering them again. Everyone else seems to be here. Feeling only the faintest presence of Emma, he stretches out his arms and says, "Ahhhhh. If nothing else, it feels good not to have that tart and her vanity projects listening to my every thought."
Peter watches the scene pass and after the silver haired boy and the man clearly going through withdrawal shrink and disappear through the door, he ponders out loud, "I brought my own flask just so no one would slip me a mickey......."
"Is anyone else getting the feeling that all day, we've been on railway with no real choice at all of our destination?" He reaches into his chest pocket and pulls out an eyepatch. After he dons it over his left eye, Wisdom looks around at each person brought to this barmy place. "So are we just going to cheers and bottoms up, or are we going to take a moment to discuss just what the bloody hell is going on now that we're not being constantly being watched by those wankers back there."
He lights up another cigarette and looks to the horizon. "Oh yeah, and just what do you want you dogging voyeur?"

"Yeah, that was a lot and I wouldn't mind talking about it, specially since it seems we are in the same... predicament" Pryde admitted, "but I think we have some more pressing concerns?" she added, eyeing the odd woman and her multiplying dudes. Pryde was definitely out of her depth, so to play on the safe side she went off phase, without making any dramatic moves yet.

There was no time to take in their new world, let alone sink a few questions into those they encountered, before a gaudy, grinning queen-figure presented herself and an army of multiplying men that matched their own numbers. "Bloody hell," she huffed, and then FWOOM the sword was back in her hands. Even in the din of their encounters, Elizabeth had noticed they all seemed trance-like, as if something was controlling them. Maybe it was a spell, or mind control, Elizabeth could not be sure. At the back of her mind, she wondered if their target had found a similar fate. She also wondered just how many poor souls had wandered into this spider's web.
"Right," Elizabeth replied to McCoy without looking at him. "Let's see if we can draw him out..." She smirked, took a sharp breath, and charged in. Her goal was not to attack Multiple Man, but what she could only assume was their handler: Morgana. Her violet gaze glowed bright pink as butterfly wings made of energy unfurled from her determined gaze, and she reached out with her teke.

"Oh bloody hell. Can't we just get one moment of peace and quiet? And now a raven haired nutter speaking the language of the Fey and her boy toy. What is it today with wankers wanting multiples of a single person. Rubbish if you ask me."
Peter looks around as his "comrades" go into defensive positions. The Fey.....could it be.... McCoy is focusing on the man making copies of himself. Smart move for him. If this is who he thinks it is, taking him out would be advantageous. But he's just a pawn in this game doing his queens bidding. Chances are if we take her out, he'll be taken off the board as well. Peter doesn't say this though as he doesn't want to give his plan away. Chances are, any attacks made on the woman will be defended by her thrall. Still, taking out at least one of them out wouldn't be a bad idea. And Peter knows from personal experience that one only has so much stamina to do their little tricks.
At that moment he notices vines reaching out around the woman and sees this as his best shot. Chances are they won't hold her for long, but it should give him just enough time to confirm his suspicions. At that moment he quickly pulls one of his pistols out of his holster.
"Morgan le Fay, if we're taking heads, let's start with yours love." BANG

Azazel ignored the others as they began to advance on the apparant witch – or was she a mutant, like them? No matter; she was in the way. And so is that 'duplicate man.' Otets would have loved one like him in the Soiet Army, he though of his adopted father.
Waiting only a moment for the others to begin their assault, Azazel vanished in a clap of fire and smoke, appearing behind the nearest dup and slashing with his swords. No sooner had he drawn blood than he was behind another, then another, and another, a whirling, vanishing dance of blood and hell.

Azazel disappears in a puff, appearing in a new location, then another, and another. But there is something about this realm - this prison, as Morgana called it - that feels different - empty, somehow, and yet, paradoxically, as if it were alive. He can feel the realm shifting around him, bending, twisting, poking, prodding. Like a school of piranha nibbling at its prey before beginning the feeding frenzy. Were it not for the portal on the other side and the psychic link tethering him to reality, even he might wonder if he could find a way out. But, other than this strange sensation, he does not seem to be adversely affected. What might be more alarming, however, are his present targets. Azazel cuts through the copies of the Multiple Man, but as soon as one falls, another splits off from its original and rises to take its place. It appears this ability is triggered by physical impact, though Azazel is unable to determine under what other parameters his ability might operate.
Betsy steels her mind in a telekinetic tug of war, attempting to wrest control of the vines away from Morgana. The witch's mastery of the natural world and her magic is strong, though, and despite Betsy's efforts she is unable to pry them from the other's mental grip.
As the two are engaged in mental battle, Wisdom seizes upon the distraction to take practiced aim. He lets fire, though the bullet strikes a mystical barrier which shimmers briefly on the impact before becoming invisible.
Beast and Pryde take defensive postures.
The Multiple Man attempts to strike back. Leaving Wisdom and Betsy, they charge in from multiple angles at the other three. Azazel simply teleports to safety, while Pryde phases so that they pass harmlessly through her, though she too feels the strange emptiness of this new dimension. Unable to grab two of their targets, the remaining five pile onto the unfortunate Doctor.
If Morgana is worried about the multiple assaults, she doesn't show it, simply laughing with giddy delight as she turns her focus to Betsy and Wisdom.
"Off with their heads! OFF WITH THEIR HEADS!"
She cackles.
An axe, pure glowing energy forming the blade, materializes into her hands. She whirls it around, though it would not appear she has any real expertise in the weapon. Her counter attack on Betsy finds no purchase, but her attention does seem to now be divided between chasing after Betsy, maintaining control of the plant life, and defending herself with the mystical barrier she used to stop Wisdom. ============================ [OOC: I've put up a reference sheet to help keep track of relevant information, but please use the regular OOC thread if you have questions about the various actions being resolved, as I'd like to have one clean working space. Beast is being RESTRAINED for the next panel, and will need to try to break free, though that is also something the others can try to assist in.]

Lord Braddock circled his blade over his head, catching Betsy's downward swing off, then shouldered into her chest. She hit the ground hard, drawing a round of laughs from her brothers on the side of the strip. Elizabeth's father offered his trademark cackle before extending a hand to her. "Remember what dear old dad says: step one, attack. Step two, attack." He pulled her up and held the practice sword in front of him. "Your only defense is offense with this." He ruffled her mop of blond hair, grinning. "Don't forget that..."
Betsy roared and pressed her attack against Morgana. Her magic was strong, but her attacks were weak, and that was where the Braddock girl would persist. "Come on, witch!" The pink blade rose and crashed, swiped and crashed, cut and crashed against that axe, anything to try and break Morgana's concentration, even if just for a moment.

"Sodding magic...." Peter quickly assesses that his pistols are useless against that magical barrier. He glances over at McCoy struggling to break free from the newly duplicated clones. No clean shot there.
Looking over to Azazel and Pryde, "Big Red and Trixie, help out the Yank! Me and princess have this bitch."
With a wiry grin, Pete holsters his pistol and his hands begin to heat up as as 6 inch blades of pure molten energy emit from each of his fingertips. "Let's see how you do against these beauties".

It was hard trying to think in that place, Pryde was accustomed to bending the rules since she got her powers, but that place and those people utterly disregarded them. It was true, as the bossy brit barked, that Hank was in trouble. Of course, most would be if they had to deal with a seemingly endless army, but then again, Pryde wasn't sure of how to face the surreal situation.
"Just do what feels right, kiddo" Kate added. She didn't sound as certain as she usually did, she was shaken by the events as well, but that didn't made her wrong about the situation. "I didn't get here to get marching orders from an overconfident Brit, that's for sure" she answered in her head, a smile clearly painted in her face. Whoever the army of dudes was or were, it didn't make sense scrapping against them if that just made more. Sure, she could phase both her and the nerd out of their grasp, but if he was there he sure could sort things out. Or get help from the devil, for all she cared.
No, the way things were they had to get rid of the noisy blonde, and if guns didn't work it made no sense to Pryde that Wisdom should be so confident on those fiery knives of his. She had no guarantee that she could just go through the barrier that deflected those bullets, but then again if Pryde was stopped it would be a first in her life, as she hadn't met anything she couldn't go through. Or anyone, a torturing strike that she didn't use often, but it was as useful as the tamer applications of her power.
Getting a starting run and a hop, she phased once more mid air. Pryde's aim was to get through the barrier and that witch that had raised it, ending the fight in a simple, yet painful for her victim if it worked, strike.

Azazel growled with frustration – his dazzling display of murder was only making the enemy stronger. And this place – cloying, subversive, pervasive – it was like living in the Kremlin, only worse.
"Big Red and Trixie, help out the Yank! Me and princess have this bitch."
One of the duplicates was attempting to distracting him while two more leapt from behind to drag them under their mass. Azazel sensed them and vanished before he could be caught. From outside the chaotic melee, he saw McCoy on the other side, overwhelmed by the tide of identical men. As much as he thought of himself as independent, Azazel was still very much conditioned to follow orders, and Wisdom was clearly used to giving them.
Without indulging in consideration, he appeared beside the dogpile on the doctor and plunged his barbed tail into the midst of it, wrapping around McCoy's torso in a snug grip.
"Come, Comrade, the fight is over there!"
The pile collapsed when McCoy dissapeared along with Azazel, reappearing in smoke and flames behind the witch, away from the cloned army.
He flashed his comrade a quick grin, one that pulled into a snarl as he considered the witch...
