Something else I intended to include in the original blurb; Metropolis is a ruin right now. Large swaths of the city were obliterated by the fight between Superman and Doomsday, and while reconstruction is underway (funded by Lex), even after several months there are massive areas that are still little more than rubble. There are hundreds of missing (presumed dead by now) persons, their bodies probably in the rubble, in Metropolis alone, and thousands worldwide (Doomsday's path took him from the arctic all the way to Metropolis). The Justice League is also broken. At the time of Superman's death, the veteran heroes (Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Green Lantern, Flash, and even Green Arrow and Black Canary) had stepped away, leaving Martian Manhunter the sole long-term member of the team. The Manhunter disappeared, and Superman agreed to work with (though not rejoin) the young, in experienced team as a mentor. The League was devastated in the struggle with Doomsday and although none of them were killed, many of them still haven't fully healed, and the public no longer believes that the League can protect them. Rumors swirl that some or all of the old League may return, but no official announcement has been made as of yet. Booster Gold has been available for comment, in spite of his broken jaw. Just so I have this correct. After Superman died, i am guessing while also taking down Doomsday, he then agreed to work with the younger inexperienced team as a mentor??

No that was what was happening when he died (just like in the comics). Superman was the advisor/mentor to the Justice League team consisting mostly of less experienced and/or respected heroes. He's not back yet, so he's not mentoring anyone now 8)
