Monica makes another charging attack on the alien. EYcayvdx1-100OOC: Can we get an approximation of where we all are on that map? Scarlet Witch just wiggled free of her bonds, between the collapsed building and the trees to the west of it. Captain America was standing between her and a pair of aliens. There is now a flying sled overhead of them with two more aliens inside it. Drax moved back to the word "Meadow" and Vision had to follow to punch him. near them are an unconsious alien, an alien laughing his head off and one alien hovering with a jet pack. Starfox also lies on the ground near there. Up by the word "Stream" is the last alien lying unconscious, victim of those turns that Captain Marvel was "busy fighting aliens". I hope to post the official game update tomorrow. |

Vision lumbers his limp form over to Drax and lands a devastating blow! "ARRRH!" Drax cries, before switching strategies. The Destroyer flies up into the air, out of Vision's reach, and then projects another beam of cosmic energy at the synthezoid from his arms. BOOM![Vision loses 20 Health.]Captain America's shield is thrown off target as the sled fires a web at him! [ valiant may roll an Agility FEAT to avoid being ensnared.] One alien is trying to snap his fellow out of his hysterics, while a third is struck down by Captain Marvel in her energy form. The last conscious alien notices the Scarlet Witch slip free of her webbing and aims his energy rifle at her. The alien then calls out to Captain Marvel, "Stay back or I'll shoot her before you can reach me!" [The alien is using the holding off action and will get to interrupt Captain Marvel's action with a shot at Scarlet Witch if Captain Marvel makes an aggressive move.]Captain America Health: 140 Captain America Karma: 60 Conditions: The tangler gun hit, but Cap may roll an Agility FEAT to avoid being ensnared. Captain Marvel Health: 60 Captain Marvel Karma: 16 Conditions: In x-ray form. Scarlet Witch Health: 46 Scarlet Witch Karma: 60 Conditions: Has the headset. "Trying new tricks. I can do that too." Vision says going intangible and flying up and inside Drax's space literally. "Hit me if you can."
Going to shift-0 density and flying up to Drax attempting to literally fly 'inside him' and trick him into hitting himself.

Captain Marvel considers zapping the alien toady where he stands... but realizes that she'd be outgunned if she tries to tackle this guy. She narrows her eyes, looks at Scarlet Witch, and back to this guy, tensing her muscles as she does so.
OOC: Before I announce my action, I need to know- how much distance is between me and the alien, and me and Scarlet Witch (ie: how long could it take for me to reach her)?

The distances are only a few yards, but the alien's held action is sure to interrupt anything that can be considered aggressive that Captain Marvel does. |

After taking in the situation and setting her eyes back on the alien, Captain Marvel tenses up, frustrated... but then she sees Vision struggling with the Destroyer and gets an idea. With that, she turns back to the alien.
"Good plan. But I'd be keeping my eye on Drax if I were you."

The Vision flies up toward Drax, but the Destroyer avoids him and then lands a perfect hit (he rolled a 100). However, while Drax's fist and arm have gone right through Vision's chest, there is no damage to the synthezoid, because he is phased. This angers Drax and he blasts cosmic energy from his arms, causing a cascading explosion among the trees, sending shrapnel flying into the hostile aliens. (This happened, just as the Scarlet Witch finished gesturing.)
Captain Marvel's attempt to distract the aliens kind of failed and kind of succeeded. Monica's words did not distract the alien, but the woodland projectiles did!
Only the sled is able to act amid the falling foliage and it tries to net Captain America, but the star-spangled avenger deftly dodges out of the net's way.

Vision missed his mark and since he is now solidified, he falls to the ground. (You need to succeed at a Yellow Agility FEAT to avoid 20 damage and having to roll a GREEN Endurance FEAT or fall unconscious for 1-10 rounds).
The Scarlet Witch look is looking for an energy rifle, when one falls right in front of her from the alien that Captain Marvel just stunned with her charge. Wanda can pick it up with her free hand, but unless she puts down the headset, the Scarlet Witch won't be able to fire the two-handed weapon.
Two more aliens and the sled are firing at Captain America. And Drax looks about to blast the Vision. They both need need help!

Surprised at how well that tackle worked, Monica gets up and dusts herself off... and dashes over to Scarlet Witch if she needs to swap for the headset. She'd rather plan a better strategy, but the sight of Vision and Cap in peril gets her blood boiling for a fight... one peril needs to go.
"Wanda, do you think you can pull off another bad-luck blast?"
