Okay I have an idea for a game... And this one I promise is not a multiverse concept.
Basically I want to run a Marvel-verse style game with a team of superheroes who base themselves on characters from other media at least in terms of powers or concept. Either deliberately or by happenstance. I wanna see expies and copycats of just about anyone.
40 stones plus unlimited challanges. house rules? Well we can discuss that after we have some prospects to join.
Any takers.

Can you give some examples? This sounds vaguely interesting, I'm just not sure of the scope.

I was thinking something like the Venture Bros how most of their characters are parodies/expies of comic book heroes and villains, but played slightly more seriously.
Like... let me try to think of some concepts.
How about a guy who's like Donkey Kong, but instead of a big ape. He's just a guy in an enchanted monkey suit that gives him super strength.
Or maybe a guy from a Super Soldier project like Cap who's pretty much a Warhammer Space Marine in all but name?

Like a Spidersona, but they get actual powers?
Edit: Is it just Marvel characters? It's like a knock-off/bootleg Marvel team?
Edit of the edit: Mockbuster! That's the term I was looking for!

More like mockbusters of characters from Outside of Marvel Comics, but having adventures in The Marvel Universe.

I was hoping more for something like the Supreme Power comic, and less... Great Lake Avengers. I was already working out which god would be the best choice to replace Thor and/or Hercules. Oh well.
Edit: I guess what I'm looking for is more of a Squadron Supreme of the Avengers. Marvel already made their version of the Justice League, and Stan Lee did the same thing for DC.

I guess the New New Fantastic Four would be pretty cool too.

sorry I thought no one was still interested.
Yeah I'm not really sure what I was going for. Basically just a parody/corrupted character version of a comic book universe populated by expies of other characters.

I'd still like to play, but it sounds like you don't even have a plot at this point. Just a cool idea. I'd be willing to play if it's limited to a single bootleg team, like Squadron Supreme or the Fantastix.

I see. I'll try to think of a basic plot and come back with this.

Okay here is what I can think of so far.
Solaris City is a burgeoning metropolis somewhere on the east coast of the United States. It's a decent place to live, if not for all the costumed weirdos, and assorted invasions from aliens, and or demons.
The biggest threat to the city is a Duke Daemon. The ruthless dictator and would-be world conqueror from Ziteria an island nation off the coast of Africa.
Thankfully for Solaris, a group of people of varied origins and powers exists to protect the city. The League of Defense. Based in the Hall of Avengement located on top of Mt. Springfeld. (which is more of a really tall hill) overlooking the glorious city.

Looking good so far?
