I would say this, i have always viewed stone counts like this; high stone count is basically a I want to be told a story and low stone counts is I want to tell a story. Hmm. Never really thought of this. I guess I feel the opposite of you in that aspect then. High stone count = established characters with powers (Unless they get ALL their powers all at once, that'd be freaky for someone lol) whereas a low stone count character is a beginning character who's just starting off. The already established person would want to tell a story through their powers, and a beginning character would be subjected to whatever the storyteller wanted to do, and they'd have to adapt to how the GM is telling the story. More power = less desire to be adaptable and try to brute through a story with their power (I want to tell a story), whereas less power = having to adapt to how the world goes along around them. (I want to be told a story) But again, that's just me. Different ways of thinking. I think it's neat.

Hoots Rowlet question for you. What are your top 3 favorite isekai's? You're probably gonna think of me as kinda a dork for not liking the more mainstream or deconstructive ones, but going by the ones I have mostly seen the animes of... In no particular order. In Another World with my Smartphone (I admit it's not a great series, and is cliched, but I also think as a show it's mostly harmless and inoffensive. Like bubblegum.) Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear (again see Smartphone, though this one does not have any harem antics revolving around a female protagonist just being a cool big sister figure for all the children she meets and helps in her overpowered bear costume.) Handyman Saito in Another World (I did not think I would like this one as much as I do. The main character while not overpowered, or even really powered whatsoever is still a great use in this fantasy world using his skills as a handyman. Also Morlock the Wizard with bad memory is a hillarious if still tragic figure.)

Hell no, you've just quoted two of my favorites and that's just because I've not managed to get hold of Handyman Saito. I've just finished Reincarnated As A Sword which was kinda awesome. Before that Eminence In Shadow which has gotten a lot of praise but I didn't think was nearly as good.

My preference depends on what the plan is. Are we isekai into a world were we get powers? Then I would think 40+10 is good. If we are not going to have powers then I think 20+10 is better

OK, final question.
Group thread or individual threads?

Group. Individual threads could be good for fast posters but could uneven the pace for some. Unless you tried to keep us all at the same pace, then both would be cool.

So I've created the Board. I'm sure you can spot it. Not sold on Individual or group threads, Lemme know what you think. If you feel you need more CP let me know, If you want less you can always save some, or I can separate you off or whatever.
Keep in mind I'll adapt the game to you. My bad guys can be smart or dumb, weak or strong, depending on what the story calls for and how you want to play the game.

Whilst there are still active people in this thread I have a few requests...
Does anyone have working links to the house rules (or have downloaded them and can post up a new link for all the dead ones? Some work, others don't and I really wanted a blank cad for a 'project' I want to work on. MURPG with dice. Yes, yes, but it's an itch I want to scratch...)
Who are the active mods on the site? Obviously Janus, but is that it? Might be an idea to upgrade status of certain posters to help prune the place from spammers/archive stuff. I realise the site doesn't get much traffic these days when compared to its heyday in the early noughties (*sniff*) but it might be a 'shared project' for those that remain to participate more and attract mew traffic to the place with new games, house rules and so on.
Anyway, not game related, sorry for derailing. It's been well over a decade since I ran games on here (As Tomahawk) so I realise I'm part of the problem of inactivity but I'm kinda stretched thin with other games in different places that I run.
That said, if there was enough interest in playing the game with dice (D6s) I'd be tempted to run games... (at this point I've pretty much done diceless MURPG to death).
Anyway, apologies for the derail, I just posted in the most active space. Feel free to tell me off etc.

So, I'm the only active administrator I know of. The owners are the only ones who can upgrade people and I've not heard from them in some time.
What do you think needs pruning? The kast spammer we had was 2021 and that only occurred as someone created a thread non members can post in.

With you the only active mod we know about it kind of leaves the site in a perilous place (what happens if you can't get on)? I realise compared to the heyday in the early noughties and around the early 10s this place is on life support but it would be a shame to see it die off.
Just knowing we have one active mod is enough - if there's any spam will direct your attention to it.
The other thing about dead links in the useful file section ... I *think* I've got some/most of the files I was interested in (checked every link and about half are still alive).
Maybe changing the name to Marvel *Multiverse* Roleplaying Board as the new game is due out in August would steer more traffic to the place, but as a mod you'll not have the ability to do that I guess.

Changing the board name kinda above my pay grade, I'm here, I can do normal admin stuff. No sense in worrying about stuff we can't change.
I've set up the admin request thread so I don't have to log in to see if people need stuff.
