I'd be down for something. I can go for anything, really. Preference? Street level game? X-men? Whatever would work for me. My itch is back too. Can't find a cream or powder for it, unfortunately.

Isn't that what the wishlist thread is for?
- X-Statix/Good Guys Finish Last. A team of superheroes who are in it for the fame and fortune and merchandise deals.
- Hoots had an idea for a team of bootleg superheroes. I was thinking Squadron Supreme, but I think he was shooting for more of a parody feel. I'd love to play in a Squadron Supreme Power style team, but based on another (Marvel?) team.

You know, there's a character that I want to play. It's actually for more of a fantasy campaign, but there isn't one specific system that fits him, so I might as well post it here. Who knows?
Dasmacus Steele wields an axe that contains the soul (and bone char) of his great great grandmother "Nana" Titania Steele-Alloy. His cousin Colt Steele wants the axe for himself as he beliefs he's entitled to it.

OK, narrow down a genre.
Fantasy. I could probably do an isekai really easily considering how much anime I've been watching during the pandemic.
Horror, I have Call Of Cthulhu thoughts occasionally.
Super Heroes, I mean are we on a MURPG Board or what?
Sci-Fi. Lots of choice.
Rom-com. Kidding! Kidding! Kidding!

Super heroes is always a good and safe choice, plus in the ballpark of where my itch has been. But honestly I'd be down for anything.
Edit: After sitting on it for awhile, I've come to what my choices would be should it come to a vote.
1: Super hero
2: Sci-fi (I'm guessing like something in space with difference races or something?)
3: Fantasy
Again if it came down to a vote my choices would be those in that order. Happy to have ya run something, J.

3. Sci-fi
I am on less regularly than I used to be... but honestly if there is something actually going on then I will probably check at least once or twice a day

OK so a few questions Hoots Rowlet you definitely down for this? If an Isekai is your preference and the others are down for it then I'll put something together. On that topic, does anyone have a preference for stone limits. Isekai's can get a bit extravagant (yes 'That time i was reincarnated as a slime' & 'Overlord' i am most definitely looking at you), but they can also be really gritty and low powered. I could potentially do almost any setting as an isekai. I don't know of a superhero setting that has been done as an isekai so that could be a giggle. But a fantasy setting would have far more material to draw inspiration from. Let me know what you think. |

As for stone counts... I can't really say for sure. 50 stones minimum I guess.

Definitely prefer a low stone count type of game as a preference. I feel they're always more fun for RP reasons. Otherwise you just have a bunch of powerhouses running around.

So, we have one vote for high stone count one vote for low stone count. I would say this, i have always viewed stone counts like this; high stone count is basically a I want to be told a story and low stone counts is I want to tell a story. With high stone counts are less challenging because you have a lot more options, you need to think less and can just sit back and enjoy the story. Low stone counts you have less options so need to think more. You become more creative. Both are totally valid stand points and indications of what you want out of a game. I have no issue with either but I will have to have a long think about how to accommodate both at the same time. lilithsboy you still interested/have a preference on stone counts? |
