Red Queen: 6
(Int.bonus)
-Due to the 'Alice in Wonderland'-based brainwashing she has suffered as a lab experiment, combined with her formidable, near-reality-bending psionic power, Alice has developed unique/extremely rare mental-based powers which seem to reflect the imaginary world she was trapped in for so long:
- Age Manipulation (Atk of up to AN VS Dur; if successful, ages/de-ages target by up to 10 years per 3 stones played down to a minimum of newborn baby; this effect is permanent unless undone with either another use of this power, or some other appropriate effect of similar power at GM's discretion. May cause physical/mental weakening by young age, and physical/mental weakening/death by old age for mortals. Has no effect on Immortals. Alternately, also usable on objects/matter: Stones VS Duration on D&R chart to either age or de-age matter/objects, possibly damaging/destroying/repairing/altering them accordingly. NOTE: When using on self, Alice retains her full mental capacities regardless of age.)
- Awaken Esper (As Manipulate Mutagenic Fields; Only to grant psychic powers; Challenges gained are limited to Half the stones used, rounded down.)
- Blessing/Curse (Either Stones VS Effect up to AN + Duration for beneficial effects, or Atk VS Durability + Mental Defense for negative effects. In the latter case, if successful, inflicts a curse of red stones of 'damage' up to AN for a Duration of red stones of 'damage' on the D&R chart. In either case, the effect can be anything from a very minor pleasant/annoying effect, to providing Good or Bad Luck of +1 per 'white stone' of effect, to inflicting lethal damage of red stones of damage/panel until the victim dies or the curse is lifted, and anything in-between.)
- Ecokineticism (Mastery of Plants/Wood, Create/Manipulate, Force Blast - With Advantages up to Half AN, rounded up; Usable as Entangle with Instant Dissolve, Sticky and/or Barriers option.)
- Growth/Shrink (As Growth - With +1 to Toughness per AN - and Shrink at up to AN. A trademark Alice in Wonderland move.)
- Honorary Turtle (As Swimming, May exceed natural human speed limit; Breathes underwater while active.)
- Mirror Stepping (5 stones to enter/exit a mirror or reflective surface, allowing her to move within the 'world' within the reflection; may also use as Teleportation up to AN to move between mirrors/other reflective surfaces. NOTE: Covering a mirror while she is within it will trap her within the reflected world she was in at the moment it was covered. Once uncovered, the mirror's reflected world will change accordingly with her still within it, allowing her to exit it or move between mirrors again. If a mirror is broken/reflective surface is destroyed, she will be brought back into the physical world, but will suffer 1w of damage and be bloodied and bruised from the experience. Finally, actions taken by Alice while in a reflected world has no bearing on the real world, including when performed on other people in the reflection - except perhaps troubling the real person upon seeing whatever happens to their reflection.)
- Polymorph (Either Atk VS a creature's Durability + Mental Defense, deals no damage; or Stones VS a target object's Technology/Area/Weight/Highest AN/MN, whichever is highest; if successful, transforms the victim into either an inanimate object of Technology/Area/Weight/Highest AN/MN up to AN, or into a creature of up to 5 white character stones/stone played, for a Duration of up to 1 hour/red stone of 'damage'.)
- Queen Move (As Teleportation at AN; May only teleport where she can see/perceive. This limitation may be overcome with Clairvoyance to 'see' an area outside her normal range of perception.)
- Queen Takes (As Corrosive Touch, Death Touch option. Disintegrates the victim to dust if successful.)
- Rabbit Hole (As Swimming, but in the ground through solid matter. Leaves behind a human-sized rabbit-like hole, and does not actually ends up dirtying her or her clothes.)
- Reject Affliction (As Magical Healing, May heal up to 2x AN white stones per day; May regrow limbs/organs instantly when healing at least 2w; Also usable as Stones up to AN VS any negative effect Curse/Power/Spell AN to immediately end its effects on either herself or a target.)
- Remote Body Control (Stones VS highest costing Action performed by a detached part; may control up to AN body parts/limbs/organs at once. Each detached part gains a separate Action for free per panel. If she wants her separated parts to do more than 1 action in a given panel, she needs to sacrifice an action of her own, or pay for an additional Action via Power Level.)
- Royal Decree (As Hex Spheres at up to AN; Requires vocal command to use. Essentially Alice dictating what she wants reality to be, and her psionic powers attempting to make it so. Given her mental instability, however, the results may vary, hence the somewhat chaotic nature of this effect.)
- Self-Disassembly (1 stone/part/organ to detach/reattach body parts/limbs/organs; while separate, such parts have 1/3rd of her current Health, rounded up, if attacked and benefit from her usual passive defenses. They can then be controlled from afar via Remote Body Control option, see above.)
- Shapeshift (As Shape Shift at up to AN, or Metamorphosis at stones played; Needs not maintain, Transformation occurs on same panel.)
- Stop the Clock (Stops time entirely for stones played on Duration on the D&R chart up to AN; user may act normally for the entire duration. God-like beings, cosmic entities and eldritch abominations, as well as beings immune to Reality Distortion, are immune to this effect and can act while time is stopped. Those beings, and the user, can also free others from the effect by interacting with them directly. Harming someone directly will also free them.)
- Ticking Clock (Fastens/Slows/Reverses Time; by up to stones played times; User may act normally or be affected as well, at their discretion. To Reverse, must pay 5 stones to reverse at normal speed, with additional stones increasing speed or slowing speed.)
- Tweedledize (5 stones/duplicate to manifest them, 2 per Duplicate to maintain them; otherwise, as Duplicate Self.)
Force Field: 5
-Effective VS Mental
-Area Effect of up to Half AN, rounded up, for free; may increase it by stones.
-When active/deflecting attacks, this effect could have any number of visual effects, limited pretty much only by her imagination, similar to a Create Illusions effect of Half AN, rounded up.
Flight: 4
-May levitate at Speed 1 for free
Wonderland: 10
(Int.bonus)
-This incredible effect allows Alice to impose upon reality her own perceived world of 'Wonderland', the false reality she had been brainwashed into for most of her life as a lab experiment victim of the Agency, effectively making Wonderland as real and indistinguishable from the normal world to those experiencing it. This action's effects are described below:
- Manifest Wonderland (The first step of this Action; Stones VS Factors up to AN + Duration on the D&R chart; free Area Effect of up to AN; may increase by stones. 'Factors' are aspects of the imposed Wonderland she wishes to create; for example, she could create a Wonderland with 'trees made out of candy and dragons who breathe ligthning' for 2 Factor stones. This allows Alice to affect the world around her and effectively turn it into 'Wonderland' for the Duration. What 'Wonderland' actually is depends heavily on her whims, imagination and emotions at the moment. While it is usually colorful, whimsical and strange, it can be anywhere from nonsensical and ridiculous to lethally dangerous and terrifying depending on her emotions and wishes. NOTE: Once manifested, allows the use of this action's other options.)
- Authority (As Pheromones at up to AN; induces obedience and submissiveness in targets upon hearing her voice, getting them to obey her orders.)
- Lay of the Land (As Unlimited Create/Manipulate Matter, Area Effect of up to AN; to manipulate and alter Wonderland as she pleases, adding and altering existing landscapes and structures.)
- People of the Land (As Warmaster; with the following options: Regiment, Elite Troops, Heroes/Bosses, Support Troops, Fanaticism, Leadership, Animals, Mounts, Artillery, Vehicles, Air/Sea Fleet, Headquarters, Supplies Access, Psychic Link, Permanency, Persistent Remains. Her Army 'Types' include the following: Animals/Beasts/Vermin, Animated Objects/Plants, Card Soldiers, Fae/Fairy Tale/Folklore Creatures, Wonderland Creatures.)
- Royal Laws (May set 'laws' which dictates how Wonderland works for all those within it via her authority as 'the Red Queen'. In game terms, acts as Power Cosmic/God-like Powers; Area Attack/Effect up to AN if appropriate; Duration is permanent until rule is undone at user's discretion. NOTE: A given rule may depend on any condition the user wishes to apply to a given effect. Examples of conditions include, but are certainly not limited to: 'if the target moves', 'when a certain event happens', 'when someone says a certain word', etc.)
- Queen's Might (Adds +2 to all of Alice's A/A/Ms while in Wonderland. Passive ability.)

Suppress Esper Powers 5
-As Suppress Mutant Powers, but only effective VS Mental Powers
-While active, her own powers cease to function as well and she suffers -1 to all Actions.
-Reluctant to Use (As an Esper, activating this feels like going from near omniscient to being blind, deaf and anosmiac, hence the -1 malus noted above. It is not pleasant by any means and she is reluctant to use it for that reason.)
Universal Translation
-Via psychic connection with either mind or electromagnetic device; cannot be used to decipher written languages she is unfamiliar with.
Reconstitute Self, Special
-Alice's psionic potential is so potent that death would not be the end for her at all; her mind would be able to maintain its existence through sheer will alone, allowing her to exist as a psionic energy entity, at which point she will be able to spend XP to gain appropriate A/A/Ms to reflect said new form.
-Reluctant to Use (Alice herself is not necessarily aware of this ability, and as such is just as concerned with staying alive as anyone else.)
Wealth: -1
-Currently has: 2 Silver, 50 Copper (a.k.a $1,250 USD)
-In her current world: 1 Copper = 5 USD. Also, 1 Platinum = 10 Gold = 100 Silver = 1,000 Bronze = 10,000 Copper
CHALLENGES
-Looking non-human (-0; Alice's eyes will visibly turn from blue, to bright red when her Red Queen persona takes over. This challenge is worth -0 because it's not always visible, and even when it is, there could be various reasons for someone having red eyes; it's mostly weird when someone witnesses the change directly.)
-Psychological (-3; moderate Dissociative Personality Disorder. Due to both her past trauma and the brainwashing she suffered at the hands of 'The Agency', Alica has developed a split personality known as 'The Red Queen'. When said personality is in control, Alice becomes confident, strong-willed, dominant, fearless and energetic, but also somewhat narcissistic, arrogant and somewhat cruel, though she remains respectful of what normal Alice wants. The Red Queen persona will typically be triggered by heavy stress, strong negative emotions, intense fear or severe pain, and she will typically return to normal when she 'isn't needed anymore', though she can remain in control if she so wishes and the normal Alice doesn't mind.)
-Psychological (-2; moderate curiosity. Having been 'robbed' of her childhood and a normal life by the Agency, Alice is eager to learn anything related to living a normal life, the normal world and things a normal girl should probably know. Or anything else, really; she loves to learn new things in general.)
-Psychological (-1; mild submission. When her normal personality is in control, Alice is non-confrontational, somewhat passive and fairly obedient unless what is asked of her is clearly unreasonable.)
-Psychological (-1; mild Dissociate Amnesia. Possibly as a mental defense mechanism, or alternately due to the brainwashing from the Agency, Alice has no recollection of her childhood, her family, of the trauma she experienced at her father's hands, or of father and sister's deaths. She knows those events happened as she has been informed of them, but has no recollection whatsoever of them. Her ability to form new memories, however, is not impacted.)
-C.T.S.U.F.U (-2; despite her many issues and limitations, Alice is a good person who genuinely wants to help if she can.)
-Distrustful of the opposite sex (-1; likely a result of her 'doctors' at the Agency being male - and the experimentations she endured under their 'care' - Alice's trust is difficult for a man to gain, let alone her friendship. She is aware that not all men are the same, but is nonetheless considerably more cautious around them.)
-Haunted Past (-2; Alice's mother died in childbirth, resulting in her father blaming her for her death, and in physical, emotional and mental abuse for both her and her sister. Eventually, her father actually killed her sister, which is when Alice's powers first awakened, lashing out at him in rage. In the end, her house was burned down, her father and sister's bodies were never found in the ashes and Alice was taken by the secret organization known as 'The Agency', which experimented upon her for years in the hope of making her into the perfect assassin, until it was taken out by heroes and dismantled. Alice was then taken in by the Birch Psychiatric Hospital, in New York, as a patient. This challenge is lowered since she does not actually remember any events prior to her time at the Agency.)
-Watched (-3; by the Birch Psychiatric Hospital staff. While well-intentioned and actually trying to help, the hospital staff is cautiously watching her every move and interaction in the hope of helping her recover enough to become a functional member of society. They are aware of her superhuman nature to some extent, but do not fully realize the degree of power she is capable of.)
EQUIPMENT
-Currently worn: White T-Shirt, blue jeans and white tennis.)
______________________________________________________________
STORY: The birth of Alice Lawrence should have been an happy event. It wasn't, for anyone involved. Her mother passed away due to complications during childbirth. This indirectly - in addition to some mental issues and mild alcoholism - caused her father to essentially lose his mind, and begin abusing both of his daughters physically, emotionally and mentally, blaming Alice for his wife's death, and venting his anger on both of them daily whenever he didn't drink himself into a stupor. Eventually, this culminated into a full circle of tragedy when the man killed her older sister during one of his drunken fits.
That day, something snapped in young Alice, and whatever happened in their family house that fateful day, it wasn't pretty. She awakened her latent psionic potential as an Omega level Esper, and lashed out at her father. At the end of the day, her house burnt down to ashes, her father and sister's bodies were never found, and Alice herself seemingly vanished from the surface of the Earth.
In fact, she had been recovered by a secret, underground organization of assassins known only as 'The Agency', who had captured several potent Espers in the hope of making them into perfect assassins, brainwashing each of them through drugs, hypnosis, psychological torture and constant, intense mental suggestion; said would-be agents were to be manipulated each following a different 'Fairy Tale' concept. For example, 'Project VI: Sleeping Beauty' was nicknamed 'Aurora' and capable of manipulating dreams and killing victims in them, and her brainwashing consistently used elements of that tale, which the Agency then intended to use to control each of them as their new generation of perfect killers.
As for Alice, she was Project XIII... codenamed, 'Wonderland'. The last, and by far the most powerful Esper in the group, she had access to extensive psionic powers and abilities even bordering on reality warping in some aspects. The Agency used a psionic dampening collar to limit - or entirely suppress when necessary - her powers in the hope of molding her to their needs, but eventually gave up and merely tried to contain her, for they feared what might happen if they tried to get rid of her. But neither containment nor death was to be her fate.
Before any members of the Agency's Fairy Tales projects could reach completion, heroes stormed their underground facility and destroyed it, apprehending the organization's members who were not killed in the fight and rescuing their victims from further trauma and abuse. However, for several of them, it was a bit too little, too late. Alice, in particular, had to be taken in the Birch Psychiatric Hospital as a patient due to multiple psychological issues and her disconnection from the 'normal' world and a normal life.
Now, four years later, Alice has made a lot of progress. Her main issue is her Dissociative Personality Disorder, and the 'Red Queen' persona it tends to bring to the surface, although she has grown increasingly cooperative over the years, and is no longer considered a threat as opposed to just another 'side' of Alice. The hospital staff is aware of her powers to some extent, although they do not realize just how powerful she actually is. Objects levitating around her and her either hearing people's thoughts or projecting her own are fairly common occurrences at the hospital. Still, despite those 'particularities' and her various issues, she is getting closer to social reintegration.
