Hi all,
I know not many are still around, but I was wondering if there are any GMs who would like to run a high stone game.
I'd play a Kryptonian style character with maybe some new abilities, maybe set in DC Earth with very successful gene splicing and the metal on Captain Atom's body. Or maybe a mutant originally raised by Xavier who is enhanced and tortured by Mr. Sinister, but escapes his brainwashing.
Just looking to play the big strong hero character with a good story. If anyone wants to do it let me know!

Is there a common set of house rules/rulings that people usually use for this sort of Forum RPG?

That would be the Marvel universe RPG rulebook, but each GM have their own little modification of the system and house rules so, it depends, I believe there is a thread about them somewhere....

I could try, but I can't gauruntee a good story by any means. Most of the time I just throw whatever I feel like at the players and don't think much for what came before or since.
Hell with that much power being thrown around I pretty much stop even bothering to count stones.
Still if you have no one else to do it, I'm here pretty much every single day.

Is there a common set of house rules/rulings that people usually use for this sort of Forum RPG? It's the Marvel Universe Roleplaying Game. It was published by Marvel in 2003 and then canceled in the same year after 3 out of 5 books were published. I still want to play a mockbuster campaign with a knock-off superhero team. Kinda like the Squadron Supreme. I'm not sure about the high stone count, though. How high would high be, Mister Sinister?

I'm happy to see people in the thread! Hello to you all, and thank you to those showing interest in playing/running the game.
By "high stone count" I am thinking 65 or 70 stones. It's not going to build the ACTUAL Superman, but I can build that kind of big-time superhuman, and they can grow a bit in the game.

That sounds doable. What are you thoughts on making it a mockbuster/knock-off/bootleg team?
I'm currently thinking about the classic Defenders roster. Dr. Strange, Hulk, Namor and Silver Surfer.

I'm down with it, although those figures are throwing around more power than 70! What are you thinking? I'm intrigued.

We could pick any other team with an iconic roster.

I'm up for anything like that. Getting to build and grow a powerful character contributing to some MAJOR antics is something I never really got to do with this system. Are you wanting to get other players involved to be teammates? Is that the goal? Or running them as NPCs?
I'll get started with my character concept. What universe is this in? Marvel? DC? Something custom in the vein of Invincible/The Boys?

I'm sorry, but I do not intend to GM. I'd rather play a gamma mutate or a sorcerer-not-so-supreme.
Edit: Or maybe something Space Opera-like. Maybe Guardians of the Galaxy, but different. Sentinels of the Star System?
