DESCRIPTION Steven Rogers was a frail, sickly boy when WWII broke out. Too weak to serve in the army, Rogers was offered an opportunity to take part in an experiment called Operation: Rebirth. He was injected with the Super-Soldier Serum and bombarded by "vita rays". Rogers emerged from the experiment with the ultimate human body just before the inventor of the process was murdered by a Nazi spy. Rogers underwent and intensive program of physical and tactical training in hand-to-hand combat and military strategy. Three months later, he was given the red, white and blue costume and shield of Captain America. Cap and his sidekick Bucky Barnes fought Nazis, Baron Zemo and the Red Skull. While trying to stop Zemo's bomb-loaded drones, Bucky was killed and Cap was thrown into icy Arctic waters. The Super-Soldier formula kept him in suspended animation for decades until he was found by the Avengers. A nearly invincible fighter, Captain America has merged martial arts, boxing, gymnastics and the use of his Shield into his own unique style of hand-to-hand combat. The Super-Soldier Serum has enhanced his body to the peak of human efficiency and durability. But it is his indomitable will, unflinching loyalty and deeply personal sense of what's right that makes Cap so dangerous. Whether as an Avenger or as the solitary sentinel of liberty, Cap will fight for his version of the American Dream in whatever way he sees fit.

Known Powers: Captain America has no inborn superhuman powers, but does have the following equipment: UNIQUE WEAPON/SHIELD (EQUIPMENT). Captain America carries a circular, red, white, and blue shield made of a special mixture of Adamantium and Vibranium (Class 3000 strength). The shield can absorbs up to 90 points of damage per round, but Cap cannot attack in the same round that he uses his shield for defense. Even when using the shield, he's still subject to special battle effects such as slams or stuns. Cap may throw the shield up to 3 areas away to hit a target. He has Monstrous Agility when throwing the shield, and the weapon can inflict up to Remarkable (30) Blunt damage. On a successful Agility FEAT be bounced off of solid objects to as to return to Cap's hand. Revealed Talents: Steve Rogers is a talented freelance illustrator. His aptitude with Martial Arts allows him to stun or slam opponents regardless of their comparative Strength and Endurance. When wrestling, he gets two column shifts to the right on his FEAT rolls. Captain America is also a master of military strategy and tactics. In Brief: Captain America became the ultimate human fighting machine in the Super Soldier project in WWII.
