I think the Psi-Talents in MURPG can get a little to powerful, if you combine high intelligence with a descent Telepathy action (see Jean Grey). So I was thinking of an willpower modifier based on Durability. This on is additional to any other mental defense modifier.
So this willpower modifier is = Durability/3 or something like that (rounded up)
This is for discussion. It might also be based on Strength or on Strength and Durability

HHhhmmmm...That was something I was wondering about myself..One of the aspects missing from this game is "Willpower".. Isn't Willpower more of a mental or even spiritual thing? Wouldn't your Willpower drive your STR?
Perhaps an average of INT+DUR/6 (rounded up)
I am just throwing this out there for discussion as well..

All of it seems to be lumped itno intelligence. If it is mental, it is intelligence. For resistance i would just take mental defense.
for acts of willpower i woudl take a personal action defined as such, with specialties for each individual effect.
NOTE: I think many people overlook the personal Actions action in this game. it is clearly there as the catch all, and people complain when things are missing. It is not missing, it is just not very well presented that there is an action that says 'make it the hell up' when needed.
So willpower then?
Willpower Cost Level = A#+4
Willpower is the ephemeral force of determination, or spiritual resolve many character exhibit. With this action, you can use it to combine with other actions to exceed the normal limits of that action. Unlike other attribute bonuses and situational modifiers, this can cause the effect of the ability or action to increase beyond the original rank.
Specialties: Lifting Weight (strength), Resist Mental Forces (intelligence), Sprinting (speed), Resist Poisons (durability), etc....
Example, a character with a Strength of 4 and Willpower 2 with the specialty Lifting Weight could combine these 2 actions and actually lift a weight of 6 stones. A character with speed of 3 and willpower of 1 with the specialty Sprint could run at a burst for a total speed of 4.
Just an idea.

That's pretty much the way I've decided to go. Call it what you will depending on flavor (Willpower, Chi, etc.)

I like this Action Bullseye. ;D I actually have this at a 3 with the Specialities of Resist Mental Forces,Resist Poisons(Note:One time I had to have surgery and the drug they used to knocked me out was supposed to work within 2-5 minutes. It took 15 minutes to knock me out and I'm not that tough or physically fit. ),and Resist Stress (Note:I have a chemical imbalance called High Anxiety Syndrome where my brain doesn't produce the chemicals which regulate stress and anxiety but when I meditate or concentrate strong enough I can ignore stress completely.). I think though it should only be AN+3 Cost Level since it only allows you to excede the normal limit of an Ability or Action but you still have to use energy to do so and there is a limit to how much energy any one idividual would have.

I was really thinking about a *free* modifier. You only got Int + Mental Defense vs. Mental Attacks. Most characters are around Int@3 and a +0 Mental defense. You have a lot of options to put defensive stones against physical attacks (like strength, speed, agility) But vs mental attacks there is only Int. So a very strong and durable character that is not smart should be able to put a part of his physical power against a mental attack.
