This one just came to me tonight, and may need serious revision. Let me know your thoughts!
Volatile Touch Cost Level = Modifier Number + 5
Description Your body is harmful to the touch, perhaps due to a coat of spines, skin that secretes acid, etc. Those who physically contact you suffer damage equal to your Modifier Number. This damage cannot be avoided with Reflexive Dodge, though Toughness works just fine. In addition, you may add free stones equal to your Modifier Number to Close Combat when making hand-to-hand attacks.
Options - +1 to Cost Level to be able to turn this power on or off at will.
Comments This power is the ultimate combined offense and defense. The option to turn it off is highly recommended if you want to have a love life.
Rules for Modifier Box: - Volatile Touch, (+X) stones of Damage to anyone touched, includes Close Combat

This looks like a good Modifier to make some of the more unusual types with superpowers. But I would like to hear that you have playtested it yourself in a game to see if the Cost Level is balanced for what it does.

I certainly haven't playtested it yet, so I don't know balanced it is. But, if you examine it, it is just Claws with an extra benefit (those touching you are harmed). Claws is MN+4, so I figure a +5 or +6 was appropriate. I'll definitely playtest it soon, though.

Given your reasoning, the cost seems perfect. Say, wouldn't Protected Touch work against this?

Maybe you can also use the eletrification modifier for powered armor (MURPG p.78) with a cost of, IMO, MN+3.

Given your reasoning, the cost seems perfect. Say, wouldn't Protected Touch work against this? I'll take it from the smiley that this is meant in jest. However, just to clarify, no, it wouldn't. Protected Touch would only guard against the sensation of pain, not the injury itself.

gotta say this cost is pretty damn good for this action. havnt had the chance to test it yet, but i have made a character based off of this power. my only question is does the free stones to close combat count as bonus or is it free stones on top of the ability bonus?

I'm not quite sure what you mean by this. Stones granted from Modifiers are always free stones from the General Pool. An Ability Bonus, however, just increases the number of stones you can allocated from your personal Energy Pool.

I really like this, it seems like you modled this after one of the new characters in the New Mutants comic.

Actually, I wrote this before that character was published, but I can see how this could be used for him. Sadly, I missed the issue in which he was introduced, so I've never gotten to see his powers in use!

Actually there was a comic book years ago called DP7 that had a character with this power. He was always ruining his clothes. He could also make "acid balls" from his spit. That would be a cool power to compliment volatile touch.
