Here are some new options for Energy Absorption/Reflection. A few of them I cooked up in order to make Strong Guy (to be posted soon). The first one -- Kinetic Absorption/Redirection -- is an alternate way to use the Action, must like Dazzler's Sound/Light Transduction presented in the Guide to the X-Men. New Options- (No Additional Cost) Kinetic Absorption/Redirection: Instead of absorbing stones from Energy Damage, you absorb stones from physical impact, and may “reflect” them by immediately turning them into free stones that you may add to Strength. Once used, the free stones are gone. With this option, you cannot negate Energy Damage with red stones from your Energy Reserve.
- -2 to Cost Level if you must reflect absorbed energy or take 2x absorbed stones in Damage.
- -3 to Cost Level is you can’t store absorbed energy in your Energy Reserve or negate Energy Damage with red stones from Energy Reserve.
- -2 to Cost Level if you can’t reflect energy.

Saw Strong Guy in the Hero section but don't know much about him so no comment, sorry. But I love these new Options for Energy Absorption/Reflection.They seem very balanced but I would have to play-test them first to be sure.Anyways good work and keep it up. ;D

Here are some new ones I cooked up. I tried to make Dazzler's Sound/Light Transduction more universal. It could be recreated using all but the first option below.
[/li][li] Amplify Energy (+3 to Cost Level): You can spend additional stones up to your Action Number from your Energy Reserve to add to the effect of a reflected attack. You can do this after stones are revealed at the time that you reflect an energy attack, but only if you have an Action available. [/li][li] -3 to Cost Level if you can only absorb one type of energy. [/li][li] Energy Transduction (No Additional Cost): When you reflect energy it is always reflected as a specific type of energy. [/li][li] Absorb Ambient Energy (+5 to Cost Level): You are able to absorb ambient energy in your environment. This translates into an automatic number of absorbed stones per Panel, based on the intensity of the ambient energy (GM’s discretion). You can only absorb one type of ambient energy at a time. Some examples of energy intensity are listed below.
Electricity (Stones per Panel) Wilderness = 0 City Outdoors = 1 Normal Home, Office = 2 Power Plant = 5 Electrical Storm = 7
Solar Stones per Panel) Pitch Dark, New Moon = 0 Half Moon = 1 Full Moon = 2 UV Lamp = 3 Direct Sunlight = 5 Indoors, Heavy Shade = -1 to -3
Sound (Stones per Panel) Normal Conversation = 1 Loud Music, Scream = 2 Subway, Explosions = 3 Rockets = 6 Banshee’s Scream = 9

Wow. I really like this new option. It could be extended to all manner of energy types (including Kinetic... gentle breeze gains 1 stone, etc.) One question though, under Solar Absorption, what's your reasoning behind negative absorption for being indoors as opposed to outside in the dark during a new moon? That you're at least being supplemented by any visible starlight while outside? -Wayne

One question though, under Solar Absorption, what's your reasoning behind negative absorption for being indoors as opposed to outside in the dark during a new moon? That you're at least being supplemented by any visible starlight while outside? The negative numbers are intended to be applied to one of the other absorption rates. So, if its a clear day at noon, one would normally gain about 5 stones/Panel. But indoors with the shades drawns, I'd apply a -3 to that, meaning you're only absorbing 2 stones/Panel.
