Dr. David Banner, physican, scientist, seeking to tap into the hidden strengths all humans have. Then an accidental overdose of gamma radiation alters his body chemistry, and now when David Banner grows angry and outraged, a startling metamorphosis occurs and he becomes a hulking green skinned creature. Wanted for a murder he didn't commit, Banner's monstrous alter-ego is ceaselessly pursuded by an investigative reporter, while Banner himself is believed dead, a lie he maintains in his efforts to seek to control the raging spirit that dwells within him.
Under the effect of adrenaline, Banner's gamma ray altered body metamorphosises into a neanderthal state he refers to as the Creature. Apart from it's unnatural green coloration, the Creature exibits incredible strength and healing capacity far beyond human levels. At best the Creature's level of intelligence can be described as childlike, it's verbal communication limited to grunts, groans and roars of anger. Despite the claims of the media, the Creature has yet to kill or cause any injury more signifcant than light brusing, prefering to shove people out of it's way and take it's rage out on the surrounding scenery and buildings.
David Banner's desperate lust for knowledge, to discover why he was unable to save the life of his wife in car accident, when other in similar cerstances others could manifest unnatural strength, caused him to ignore any safety precurtions and bring his terrible curse down upon himself. Banner's inherent sense of good forms the basis of the Creature's personality, but he fears that one day he may awaken from a metamorphosis to discover the monster inside him has killed in rage.
