Well, I'm getting more and more interested in games set in the DC Universe the more and more I hear about them. The problem is, the characters are so much more powerful then Marvels that it stops being funny once you understand it all. The solution comes to me in two different ways: 1) Allow multi-hundred stone counts for creation or 2) Make a new D&R Chart where 1 is a normal human and 10 is Superman's strength or the Flash's speed. Option 2 seems far more acceptable to me.
Unfortunately, I don't know enough about the DC Universe to make this D&R Chart myself, so I thought this would be the appropriate place to ask somebody else who does know that much (And have that kind of time) to do it.

The other option is to simply scale DC back to a reasonable level. Its been done repeatedly in DC's own publication history, and theres no reason any player NEEDS 23 freagin' strength... and no I don't care that in Issue 2,200,222 of Superman Saves Krypton he once lifted a space-pyramid weighing at least 80 gajillion tons, so CLEARLY 23 is the right number...

... I suppose I should've thought about that myself o.0 how simple-minded I feel now...

That said... an alternate D&R chart isn't a bad idea. I'd really like one for lower powered settings as well, since the existing one works great for moderately powerful Marvel characters but ends up with some ridiculous statistics if you do all the math for normal humans...

I agree with both of you, even if they are completely two different things. I just cant stand to look at a CAD where a hero has 23 strengt... thats just ridicilous! And using flight chart for Flash... you do realize that playing a game with that character will completely ruin the gameplay? Becouse with that kind of speed, where the hell are the car chases? Or At least that feeling that "there is no way we can get there in time, we need another solution [that gm wants]". Im all for downgrading DC- helps especially during crossovers (wait, cancel that- its REQUIRED during crossovers)

Actually I don't Flash at all problematic... because the reality is that it doesn't matter HOW fast you can move... if there are obstacles in between.
Flash NEVER runs in excess of the sound barrier within a mile of a city, and with good reason. Thats barrier one.
He has to maneuver through streets, often clogged with city traffic (being European, you may not know this one... but major American cities frequently have their streets completely clogged with vehicles at almost all times of day). Thats barrier two.
Now, any smart super villain who knows they'll be facing a group with a speedster has either an Intercept or a Distraction... or both.
An Intercept is someone who can get in the speedsters way, and keep them there. Either a fellow speedster, a flier, or someone just generally capable of doing so much harm to local civilians that the speedster won't choose to simply keep on running.
A distraction is just that... you do something somehwere else and send your speedster in the complete wrong direction before starting in on whatever you actually want to accomplish.

Dude I've been in a lot of places around the world, the US included, and I can tell you traffic jams in the US are very mild in comparison to some of the places I have been. Bangkok traffic jams are insane as they come. Beijing being a city with 100 million inhabitants and seemingly 100 million cars with streets half the width... well you get the picture. One of the worst rush hour traffics jams I was in had me taking 45 minutes to cross a bridge smaller than the Brooklyn bridge. There were 3 lanes per side and moving very slowly. It was in Seoul in the early 90's before they widened the roads. MadCap

I have no trouble believing that... but I also know there are places in the world where there just aren't that many cars, etc.
I'd like to see Bangkok someday.

You sorta have to leave some of your morals back home though... But it is great with your significant other as well. MadCap

LOL Well, I hope to never again be single, so maybe I'll have to find another vacation spot.

LOL Well, I hope to never again be single, so maybe I'll have to find another vacation spot. Nah it is pretty fun to go with your girlfriend/wife too. Just no 'bubble' rooms and stuff like that. There is a lot of stuff to do at an exciting but grimey but definitely exotic locale. Lot's of shopping and a fun nightlife. Plus cultural/historical sites for sightseeing. MadCap

Yeah the people there are really friendly. Used to hop over there every few months when I was living in Singapore. My brother lived there for a year. He had such a great time there. It helps that a bottle of Johnny Walker Black at a upscale Bar is only like 60 bucks. MadCap
