That's the danger of being one of the clever ones, but unfortunately I took a 4w challenge: Can't keep mouth shut for his own good.
...Now that I think about it, that's a bizarrely relevant and guaranteed-to-cause-trouble-for-the-hero psychological challenge. I should use it on a CAD sometime.

You know, Chuck, the arguments you make for killing me also apply to you. Also, I don't have "Scorpion Clan" in my signature. You're actually right... I can pretty much bet that the following people; myself, Chuck, Thuellai, and rinjo (Asmodeus isn't in this thing???) are all going to outsmart ourselves, and end up dead quickly. Well you see... my logic was this. Whoever was on a team will vote for each other first. That way the votes cancel each other out. So... the teamates would be as so: Cernunnos/McFly/Negromante/Thullia WK/Hero/Negromonte Goats/Presto

First of all, Hero, Mante, and I resent being referred to as mafia. Thats profiling. We are completely legitimate Italian-American Businessmen with cultural roots in Sicily.
In fact, I propose here and now that there IS no mafia. The government (SuperBro) has cooked up this entire scenario to turn us against one another!

So, just to be clear, we're still lynching Nigromante right here and now, right?
Also, nice to see you embracing the banter. Truly, the Quip is the mightiest side of the Force.

Like I said... I feel awfully bad about putting his name out there with the first game post and all... and he has yet to be on to defend himself!

I don't hold it to Negromante specifically... he's just the closest to a consensus vote and I'm in agreement that we are better off killing someone. It doesn't hurt that the guy fits the profile of those I'm most concerned about, either.

So your solution is, what? Vote at random, refuse to explain your choices, and make it impossible for us to reach any sort of consensus? It doesn't work that way - we have to discuss our options if we're going to bring down the Mafia, because we need a plan. They can kill anonymously - we have to announce who we are and who we're bringing down. And we need a consensus vote, so we need to argue our points. And any townsperson should try to avoid being killed, because the Mafia need fewer deaths to win - they just have to get us down to 50:50, we need a perfect kill on them.
And Presto, it's not that I don't suspect you (I suspect everyone, all the time, as much as possible). It's that I believe right now, we need to strike at someone definitively and end this round with a lynching, rather than letting the Mafia thin out our ranks without making a move. So I chose Nigromante, pretty much at random.

Presto is mafia!
Actually the nicer he tries to be, the more I'm convinced Chuck is. Of course by vocalizing that I make myself seem more and more like mafia as well.

Unfortunately, Thu is pretty much correct. We can't beat the mafia by being reactive. We're going to have to "take the offensive" as it were, and that means taking the risk of killing one of our own.

Oh, I was definitely starting to get a Mafia vibe from Chuck too. That's why I acted so suspicious - it forced him to react, making him as much a potential suspect as me. But then he conceded to my vote and I figured, well, he's more useful to me lynching Nigromonte (which I've pointed out is to the advantage of the townspeople on principle) than dead. Plus he's fun to banter with. We can always have him killed next.

XD Thanks WK... but its more how everyones saying how "so and so is so smart, hed cleverly be able to pretend not to be mafia by being town" and whatnot. Hehe.
Oh well, this is just Day 1. Before long i'm sure i'll be on t he c hopping block too.
Also... We need 7 votes to take down a Mafia member right? And there are 14 players. So I think Thue's observation of 5 Mafia players might be logical.

I'm so glad SuperBro did a great job of picking who was on whose side! ;D
