No problem, thank you very much for participating. This isn't the only one, there will be more. So keep an eye out.

I was rooting for ya, hero, but to me, the stats were against you. Puma would need to devote, at the minimum, 6 stones into an attack (+1 free from claws for a total of 7 attack) just to surpass Army's automatic +6 Toughness, and that isn't counting any defensive stones shifted through Army's Actions. Using only that minimum amount of stones devoted to attack, you would only have 4 rounds before being drained. The only way I could see Puma winning is if he caught Armadillo unaware (i.e. no stones shifted to defense) with a full 12 or 13 stone attack, relying on the initiative order to get the first strike.

I know what you mean. Not great odds really.

I wouldn't have Shifted Stones into Defense. First off, Puma leads the attacks so Armadillo would be too slow to do anything in his benefit. Second, I believe guys with armor like Armadillo would have a bit of dumb confidence to protect themselves. I wouldn't shift Stones of Defense until I took some Damage. I really get into the heads of my characters.

I think that may be why I like the way you play. Like I had said, though, anything other than an extreme first attack by Puma would probably end in failure, as Armadillo's Energy and Defense would outlast anything Puma could try to pull off later.

Maybe If Puma spent few panels running around and exhausting Armadillo (who would've packed some stones into each attack), then maybe, MAYBE Armadillo would be low on energy later, so Puma could start kicking him.
But all odds considered- Puma is meant for stealthy fight, not royal rumble.

Tried that, didn't work. Plus, there's the issue of Armadillo regenerating 7 stones per panel. So, unless he's throwing about twelve stones per panel, he'll pretty much always have plenty of energy.

Btw, why doesnt Puma have any Reflexive dodge? Seems weird for a guy who has Agility of 6.

I had the same question actually.

I didn't make that CAD, I took him directly from the Spidey book. I decided for the simplicity of the game to use existing CADs and make the others.

Ok, but that begs the question as to why they didn't have it.

I agree, with you guys on that one. If I played Puma I would have been highly aggressive. Hitting him first and hopefully that would keep him from hitting me. I probably would have burned out my Energy, but with every hit he takes he Regenerates less.
