That's right, it's the MURPG debut of the fearsome and fabulous Femme Fatales( also known as the Femizons, but let's try to forget about that)! Your favorite third-string female psycho Spidey and Captain American supervillains are finally rendered with love and care into the CAD format. What do you mean you have no idea who these villainous vixens are? Well, fine, you can cheat and take a look here: www.marvunapp.com/Appendix/femfatal.htm, but you're now contractually obligated to read the rest of the thread and feature them in a Mission or two! (Though not necessarily as the villains; they've been out of work a while, so, y'know, they could be superpowered hot dog vendors or ushers or whatever.)

In fact, she has never spoken at all. She is apparently close to Whiplash and has joined her as both a member of Critical Mass's Band of Baddies and the Femme Fatales. When Spider-Man and Wolverine break up the Baddies plan to abduct a powerful mutant girl, Bloodlust trades slashes with Wolvie, proving to be his equal. She is caught in the explosion caused by the mutant girl and is believed to be dead. "But Bloodlust returns with Whiplash in the aforementioned Femme Fatales. The Femmes (which include Knockout and Mindblast) are working for the Chameleon and they attack Spider-Man at JFK Airport in a fight that leads nowhere. Later, joined by the Scorpion and Tarantula II, the Femmes battle Spidey and the Black Cat. Bloodlust is webbed up and subdued by Spider-Man. "In her most recent appearance, Bloodlust joins the other Femmes on the S.S. Superia as a member of the Femizons. She helps to capture Captain America and Paladin. While the heroes escape and thwart Superia's master plan, Bloodlust and the Femizons remain safe on the island of Femizonia. Presumably she is still there." Nothing is known of her background; whether her powers are natural or part of her outfit, how she met and assembled Mindblast, Bloodlust, and Whiplash into a group, or how she met and agreed to work for the Chameleon. She and the Femmes apparently attempt to kidnap an ambassador from "a newly-freed Baltic country" at the airport but their real intent is to take on Spider-Man, perhaps to push him further toward the idea of having his powers removed by a man calling himself "Dr. Turner" who is actually the Chameleon in disguise. Spider-Man does agree to have his powers stripped away but later recovers them in the midst of a battle involving the Black Cat, the Scorpion, the Tarantula, the Chameleon, Knockout and the other Femmes. Knockout is defeated by the Black Cat who uses the spiked and drug-laced boot of an unconscious Tarantula to pierce her body armor and knock her out. “Knockout later appears (with the rest of the Femmes) on the S. S. Superia and the island of Femizonia as one of the many female super-villains who make up Superia's Femizons. She battles and helps to subdue Captain America and Paladin. She also appears with the Femizons (but without the rest of the Femmes) and other super-villains on the island of Boca Caliente, headquarters of the evil scientific group Advanced Idea Mechanics to join in a battle with Captain America again. Since she was not captured, it is assumed that she is currently safe on the island of Femizonia.” Background taken from Spiderfan.org: www.spiderfan.org/characters/knockout.html

Yow. Now this is one cool writeup. S. Writeups. Nice job on "glassjaw" especially.
My question is this: has Knockout ever been seen in the same room as, oh, whatshername, that Magneto follower woman? You know, tall black superstrong woman? Frenzy, that was it! 'Cause I kinda thought they were the same person ....

You're right: they *are* the same person. Guess Knockout isn't too proud to moonlight for the Brotherhood of Evil! Except her name in the X-Factor comics was apparently Joanna Cargill. Alias to avoid the embarassment of being associated with the "Femizons," I wonder?
Read and decide for yourself: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joanna_Cargill

[glow=green,2,300]WHIPLASH[/glow] Leeann Foreman15w 2r stones Height: 5’9” Weight: 130 lbs. Eyes: Green Hair: Red (sometimes dyed blonde) Species: Human ABILITIES [6w 1r] Intelligence: 2 Strength: 2 Agility: 3 Speed: 3 Durability: 3 Health: 3 Energy: 9 ACTIONS [1w 0r] Combat, Close: 3 -Agility Modifier -Whip Combat MODIFIERS [0w0 r] None EQUIPMENT [9w 1r] Body Armor [Toughness: 2] Whip Gauntlets [Tendril Whip: 4, +1 stone damage, Difficulty 5 to break, Range 20 feet; Electrical Blast:3, touch attack only] CHALLENGES [-1w 0r] Anti-Mutant Bigot -This is a challenge considering the crew she tends to roll with. BACKGROUND “She first appears as a member of Critical Mass' group of evil mutants known as the Band of Baddies. The Baddies kidnap a young extremely powerful mutant girl and hold her father hostage hoping to force her to do their bidding. Spider-Man and Wolverine arrive and engage the group in battle. Whiplash wraps her long metal whips around Spider-Man's midsection but the wall-crawler frees himself by snapping the whips into pieces. Not long after, the powerful mutant girl causes an explosion and all the villains are presumed dead. “But Whiplash and Bloodlust are not dead. They later turn up in the company of two other female super-villains, Knockout and Mindblast, calling themselves the Femme Fatales. They first appear at JFK Airport, where an ambassador from 'a newly-freed Baltic country' has requested to meet Spider-Man. By all appearances, the Femmes are there to kidnap the ambassador but are really there to tackle the web-slinger. The battle ends in a stalemate and the Femmes escape. Later, they team up with the Scorpion, Tarantula II, and the Chameleon (who masterminded the attack at the airport) to battle Spider-Man and the Black Cat. Whiplash is defeated by the wall-crawler when he webs her whips to the ground and punches her in the jaw. “Whiplash and the other Femmes later join up with Superia and her huge team of women super-villains dubbed 'Femizons.' They participate in the battle with Captain America and Paladin and help to defeat the two men. Cap eventually defeats Superia's plan to sterilize all women besides her Femizons but Superia manages to escape on her hidden island of Femizonia. Presumably Whiplash and the others stay there with her. “Unfortunately, Whiplash ventures out into the world again, this time teaming up with Orca, Killer Shrike, and Shockwave. They take on the Heroes For Hire. Whiplash's opponent is White Tiger II and she becomes so unnerved by her opponent's metamorphosis into a real tiger that she is easily defeated. “Later, though, Whiplash can be seen hanging out at one of the 'Bar with No Name' super-villain taverns, having herself a brew.” [Though I don’t think she was one of the Scourge’s casualties. I’ll need to do further research on that. And by “need’ I mean if I stumble across it by accident in one of my old OHOTMU comics or Dragon Marvel-Phile articles.] Except for the text in brackets, background reproduced from Spiderfan.org: www.spiderfan.org/characters/whiplash.html

Well, I dunno how deep your research needs to be, but I know that she doesn't show up on any of the lists of victims that I've ever seen. Also, I don't think that her whips showed up in the arsenal of victim-originated weapons borne by the armored Scourge who battled the Thunderbolts a while back. Not proof, but a strong indication that she still lives.
Oh, nice job on the writeups, by the way! And as far as Cargill goes, she must've taken one of those Carnegie Foundation speaking courses recently, because Knockout ain't much for the putting words together but Cargill was Magneto's spokesperson(!) for a while. Quite a deep cover story. 'Course, Spidey and Peter seem like different people, too, I guess. Maybe playing dumb makes people say, "The only difference is that Knockout has ARMORED DREADS?! No, wait, her interpersonal and public-relations skills are lacking as well. They MUST be different people."

Not proof, but a strong indication that she still lives. Even if she's dead, I suppose I can always say that she was brought back somehow as a consequence of Wanda's House of M tinkering with reality. Thanks! Just goes to show how much I've changed over the years: when I was a kid, the first team I wrote up aftergetting the MSH Basic Set was dig through old comics and make up stats for all the X-Men.* When I got the Mayfair DC game, my first task was to build characters that could kick Superman's butt. Mutants and Masterminds was all about the next Authority/Ultimates/badass Legion of Superheroes. MURPG? Well, the Femme Fatales, natch. Though if someone hadn't already done the Great Lake Avengers.... Well, it's more work than Kal-El did with his Clark Kent disguise, I've got to give her that much! * I would have for Firestar as well since I loved the old Amazing Spiderman and Friends cartoon, but I didn't like my write-up. So I wrote TSR explaining how cool that cartoon was and asked if they were ever going to do her stats. Someone took pity on me and photocopied a page from Children of the Atom and mailed both Firestar and Iceman's stats to me.
