BACKGROUND
Tory Duran is a normal 13 year old girl. She listens to Britney Spears, likes ponies, takes ballet lessons, and wants to be a fashion designer. She wears lots of pink and thinks that her fathers obsession with watching "Battle Bots" is lame. Which is interesting when you consider that when he tried to build one of his own and was about to give up, little Tory began "toying" with some of his gear, felt the urge to keep working through the night, and when her parents woke the next morning, she'd built a two-ton, fully functional robot that would give most Sentinals pause.
After adapting some remote controls, Tory and her father began refining and modifying the robot. When word of "his" invention reached the offices of Heroes of Hire, Tory leapt at the chance to be on the team. Now, safe in her basement when "on the job", she operates Freight Train through a satelite uplink. So far she's only used it to help fight a fire in downtown L.A., but she's been practicing and is ready to throw down with the biggest post-human bad guys out there...she hopes.
Freight Train is made of spare parts from a local junk yard. While sturdy, there are several weak points, as well as a very twitchy radio reciever. There are no tactile feedback sensors and only a very basic computer to help run it (and to allow basic control for the team when the uplink is offline). Even so, Freight Train is only a prototype, and H4H is both excitied and scared of the possibility of Tory making a new one when she grows up.
