do your best to live up to his (or her) expectations. If you fail
to do so, your ancestor’s disapproval will bring bad fortune
upon you: so long as your ancestor remains angry, once per

BAD FORTUNE [SPIRITUAL] (4 POINTS)
Kharma is a powerful force, and sometimes it is a destructive
one as well. There is something unpleasant in store for you,
and you may have no idea what it is until it is far too late. Bad
fortunes take an almost infi nite variety of forms, all worth the
same number of points, and players and GMs should discuss
the form of a Bad Fortune during character creation. Some of
the more common versions include:

Yogo Curse: You are cursed to betray the one you love
the most, just as the fi rst Yogo was cursed by Fu Leng
himself. Normally only members of the Scorpion Clan
may take this Disadvantage, and they receive 4 points
for it. (GMs may allow other characters of the Yogo
bloodline to take the Curse as well, if they wish.)



Biography:
Soshi Asukara is a name not known much outside her clan, but a noteworthy name nonetheless. Although none would admit it publicly, the young woman's beauty rivals that of Bayushi Kachiko. But that is not all there is to her. Behind the seductive curves lies a steel mind, always alert, waiting to catch prey.

Her mother was a Scorpion born into the Yogo family, meaning her bloodline carried the Yogo curse. Those with the curse rarely married within the same clan. So her mother took up marriage with a noted Crane dualist. Soshi Asukara has inherited most of her parent's unique qualities, mainly the Crane's blue eyes.

Growing up she studied and remembered from both clans not knowing which school of study to take up. Although not as discerning as some in her class, she was noted as never once forgetting a lesson. It was because of this, that she was hired for a particular mission by the Scorpion.

After given her mission by her daimyo she quickly learned lessons from the Shosuro Actors. Her mission was quite clear, she was to infiltrate the Crane clan and learn what she could. A mock skirmish was made upon the boarders and Kakita Tarumara was born as the lone survivor of the battle. Although Kakita Tarumara emerged from the battle and his name forever was recorded in history that day, curiously, no Ikoma or Seppun remember recording his birth, although his name is listed in their books.

Guided by her ancestors no one is quite sure of her true purpose or her secret mission except for her and her daimyo. Although secret, it is indeed secret for a reason. The empire's future is at stake... and no one can be trusted...except those loyal to the EMPIRE itself, not the emperor.

One of the Seven Fortunes, the most powerful of all the Fortunes,
has taken notice of you and showered you with his or
her blessings. These can be powerful bonuses, but sometimes
come with expectations. The Fortunes are both fickle and
wrathful, after all. The Clans listed after each blessing may
purchase that Advantage for 1 point less than its normal cost.

Bishamon’s Blessing (Crab, Lion): The
Fortune of Strength has taken notice of your might,
and has favored you with his blessings. Whenever you
declare and make three successful Raises on an attack
roll for the purposes of the Increased Damage Maneuver,
you gain one additional Raise. Free Raises do not
count toward activating this effect. You also gain a
bonus of +1k0 to the total of any Strength Trait Rolls.

QUICK HEALER [PHYSICAL] (3 POINTS)
Your body mends incredibly quickly, allowing you to recover
from even devastating wounds with amazing speed. For the
purposes of recovering Wounds, your Stamina is considered
to be two ranks higher.

Biography:
Hida Notada is a new addition to the Crab ranks. The young Hida bushi has recently found himself in the service of his lord traveling the countryside (much to his chagrin) in order to serve the empire. Hida is a fearsome warrior and would much rather serve his time on the wall, instead of running errands for his lord, however if it's one thing a Crab knows, it's duty.

He has served on the wall for two assaults and was noted for his bravery, bringing him to the attention of Hida Kisada. The "Great Bear" has recently been in talks with several of the surrounding clans, mainly the Crane, in the hopes of reducing the price of export food. After all, the food that is brought into the Crab lands feeds those who man the walls, protecting the empire as a whole. Hida Notada has accompanied several of the courtiers on their various travels back and forth.

Although he has seen little action, Hida Notada knows that his time is coming soon. He knows that it is only a matter of time before his tetsubo is again needed on the wall. However, until that day he will continue to exemplify duty, to his lord and his empire. After all he is proud to serve both.

DESCRIPTION
James Patterson grew up the same as all the other kids in the neighborhood, except he had a very dark secret. His stepfather molested him from an early age. This fueling him, he ran away from home at the age of 15 angry at the world, and in particularly homosexuals.

On the streets Patterson made a name for himself in the local underground world. He joined a gang and quickly rose through the ranks. A rival gang member learned of James and decided it was best to take him out. If not for this he may have never learned his power.

On that fateful day James and his posse were caught in a drive-by. As everyone else fell around him James did something amazing. He manipulated the bullets that were to strike him and stripped them of their momentum. As each bullet harmlessly fell to the ground before him, he reached out in anger and blasted the car with a great power killing everyone inside. Scared of retaliation from the gangs as well as the police, James reinvented himself in the hopes of hiding his identity.

Soon Patterson changed his name to Kinesos continuing his life of crime, however as a "Boss." It was during this stint when the Avengers encountered him, multiple times, and preached that a new and better life could be around the corner. After years of running and anger James Patterson finally broke down and cried, offering himself to the Avengers.

Although it has been a while now that James Patterson has reformed himself (and again changed his code name to Repercussion) he is still haunted by his past. Gang members still wants to exact revenge and the police and CIA are still looking to question him for the drive-by shooting deaths. And all of these still pale in comparison to his childhood abuse. All of these factors add into his addiction for alcohol, and fuel it. Maybe one day James Patterson can live the life that he wants to live, but he must conquer his past demons before he has any hope for tomorrow.

Durinth Stonebeard of the Blue Mountains (Ered Luin) lived with his clansmen (Firebeards), in a colony, prior to it's exodus following Druomoíra's (an Urulokë or Fire-drake in the English language) settling. Since then he has wondered the land homeless, with nothing to offer except his skill. He is a craftsman and blacksmith by spirit, yet a warrior by nature. He lives to combine magic with the spirit of the heart, in the hopes that he will one day reclaim his home with his fellow cousins.

[BIOGRAPHY]

The Überwaffe unit is a Pre-World War II Nazi Germany highly classified Wunderwaffe (secret weapon) which acts as an all-purpose environmental suit for its wearer. It is loosely classified as a self-sustaining power armor prosthesis with symbiotic bio-organic mechanisms, of extra terrestrial origin. This symbiotic armor was originally found and concealed (along with other tech) by Nazi scientists following the infamous extra terrestrial crash near Freiburg in the Schwarzwald (Black Forest) in 1936.

After studying the technology left in their hands, by the reptilian-like aliens known as the 'Greys,' the Germans attempted to reverse-engineer a prototype of the symbiote armor but failed to do so; as they were limited by the technology of their time. During their various studies, they fitted Nazi S.S. officer and war hero Wilhelm Fredrick Zoller with the Überwaffe symbiote. After bounding was complete with a living host however, the scientists soon learned that they could not remove the bio-organic creature.

From that point on Wilhelm Zoller was classified as a Wunderwaffe, and like so many others, privy only to those on a need to know basis.

[BIOGRAPHY]
=========================
The Überwaffe unit is a Pre-World War II Nazi Germany highly classified Wunderwaffe (secret weapon) which acts as an all-purpose environmental suit for its wearer. It is loosely classified as a self-sustaining power armor prosthesis with symbiotic bio-organic mechanisms, of extra terrestrial origin. This symbiotic armor was originally found and concealed (along with other tech) by Nazi scientists following the infamous extra terrestrial crash near Freiburg in the Schwarzwald (Black Forest) in 1936.

After studying the technology left in their hands, by the reptilian-like aliens known as the 'Greys,' the Germans attempted to reverse-engineer a prototype of the symbiote armor but failed to do so; as they were limited by the technology of their time. During their various studies, they fitted Nazi S.S. officer and war hero Wilhelm Fredrick Zoller with the Überwaffe symbiote. After bounding was complete with a living host however, the scientists soon learned that they could not remove the bio-organic creature.

From that point on Wilhelm Zoller was classified as a Wunderwaffe, and like so many others, privy only to those on a need to know basis.
