We worked on this CAD together, but I think Psylocke has very much made this character her own over the course of the game; It's her character now (and I want to preserve it for posterity), so I'm posting it in her CAD bank.

Background:
Becky Bradford was ordinary. Or so she thought. True, she was a bright girl and she'd worked hard in school while keeping up an active social life, and she was a talented musician and sportswoman. But there are plenty of bright, talented youngsters, so why...?
Well, she wouldn't be the main character of this story if she wasn't special, would she?
Anyway, Becky had just turned seventeen when her father received a letter. It explained that John Bradford was really John Rakehell, the illegitimate son of Ellen Rakehell, Countess of Loamshire. Her father had known that he was adopted but he had never been told who either of his biological parents were. The letter went on to explain that the current Earl of Loamshire, Francis Rakehell, was an old man. Francis had no children of his own and so he planned to pass the title, lands and estate to John and his family when he passed away.
Under ordinary circumstances, this would probably not have been legal. There were other relatives with a far better and most importantly legitimate claim. However, Francis Rakehell was a man used to getting his own way and he had many friends in high places. He used his not inconsiderable influence to get the Crown to issue him with letters patent granting the Rakehell title and everything that came with it upon his chosen heir. In case anyone sought to challenge this unusual ruling in a court of law, Francis Rakehell got his lawyers to seek out every precedent and obscure loophole they could find; anything that would help him in this case.
John Bradford took his family to meet Lord Rakehell a couple of times. They got on rather well once John was used to the idea of having relatives. John was quite calm about the whole thing. It couldn't do any harm to indulge the old man. Anyway, Lord Rakehell had a shrewd and careful mind lurking under that façade of genial idiocy. Probably the old man had years of life left in him. Anyway, it might be quite nice to be an Earl. Wealth, power and complete idleness beyond his wildest dreams...
Becky quite liked Uncle Francis. He was a nice old man. But she didn't like when he started getting all misty-eyed and calling her "Ellen". That was embarrassing. She had other things to worry about. She was getting weird headaches and every time she went to sleep she had horrid nightmares. The Doctor told her not to worry; that it was just exam stress. He gave her a list of tips on how to relax and told her not to worry and "I'm sure you'll do fine.'
That wasn't helpful. In fact, she was getting worse. By the time she'd finished her exams her parents were seriously worried about her. They decided to take her away to the seaside to recuperate. Her brother, Darren, took it upon himself to look after her, trying to interest her in stuff...
"Look, Sis- pony rides!"
...which might have worked if she was, like, 7 years old, but now she just felt bored, tired and listless. She put on a smile every now and then so her parents would just stop worrying for a few minutes. She wasn't totally thoughtless.
And then, one day, John Bradford received a telephone call saying that Lord Francis was dead and could he please return to England to attend to the funeral arrangements. John decided he'd better go. He kissed his wife and daughter goodbye ("Get well soon, Becky,' he said to her) and promised he would be back in a few days. That was the last they saw of him.
They stayed there for another few days. Dad didn't call. Mum couldn't get through to him on the telephone. She was fretting, talking about calling the Police and reporting him missing. Becky felt her mother's worry as if it were her own. Her mental state was deteriorating. Either that, or the peaceful French seaside town was changing into something... nightmarish. She was getting flashes of other peoples' thoughts, other peoples' memories, losing bits of herself in the process. She could move things just by thinking about them. And all around her the town was changed into shadowy, twisted shapes- did she do that? Daniel was gone. Mum was gone. She had thought she heard mum calling to her, as if from a long way away, but maybe she was mistaken. Hard to tell...
There was a monster. Something huge and horrible was chasing her through the darkened streets, instilling fearful thoughts. If this hunter found her, it would tear her to pieces. There were times when she thought she smelled its hot breath on the back of her neck, heard the footsteps against the concrete.
She had to find a way out of there. She knew she had to pull herself together.
She had to find her family.
Solve this mystery.
Before it kills me.
