- Physics
Unstoppable: 3
(Speed Bonus)
Mastery of Vibration: 3

- Purchased Phase Shift at -1 to Cost Level (I felt this was as appropriate to this Mastery as buying Flight at a reduced cost is to other Masteries...perhaps more so)
Phase Shift: 2
MODIFIERS
Mutant, blurry appearance from inability to move at normal speed, no body hair due to constant friction
Hyperactive, cannot speak slowly enough for most others to understand
Uncontrollable Vibration, without vibranium mesh suit
Reflexive Dodge: (+5)
Mental Defense: (+3), hyperactivity of brain makes mental actions difficult
Prescience, may reallocate to Speed only

EQUIPMENT
Vibranium Staff (+3)
Vibranium Mesh Suit (+2), vs. physical, only +1 vs. energy
DESCRIPTION
Garrett Mavis' mutant abilities manifested in high school, though slowly at first. Trying to fit in, he joined the football team. Garrett was a legendary receiver, as his speed was unmatched. But one fateful game, an opposing player tried to throw Garrett off of his game by taunting him throughout the game. Finally, Garrett had enough, and the next time the boy tried to block him, Garrett didn't avoid him, but ran right into him, trying to pick up as much speed as possible. In this moment of agitation and will, Garrett's mutation fully manifested, and the impact left the other player with shattered bones and heavy internal injuries. Panicked and unable to slow down, Garrett fled and never returned.
Garrett roamed far and wide in his attempt to run from his curse. He found himself in the Canadian wilderness, where he found an old mutant named Oracle who claimed he was expecting Garrett, and that he could help him. Mavis stayed with Oracle, who re-christened him "Flux." Oracle called in a few favors in Department H to have a special vibranium mesh suit constructed for Flux to help him control his constant vibration. The two men would form a close father-son style bond, as only Oracle seemed to be able to understand Garrett's hyperactive speech.
Flux is in a constant state of hyperactivity, and can achieve speeds up to Mach 20. He cannot slow himself down to human levels. The slight bodily movements that are inconsequential to normal humans cause Flux to vibrate uncontrollably. His vibranium mesh suit absorbs most of the kinetic energy of these movements, allowing him to effectively "hold still" and not shake apart anything he touches. Flux can control his vibration even to the point of being able to phase through solid objects.
