I don't remember the TAS version of Clock King... I always thought Tempus Fugit (the guy with the clock that stopped time) was supposed to be Clock King and no... I never really liked him all that much.
Manta on JLU never struck me as anything more than the same old "blargh, I'm evil!" type nonsense as always. With a silly hat.

Huh. Well. Fair enough.

It does lead up to an excellent point, though...
IMO, TAS is actually the best Batman story ever told, when taken as a complete package (and far and away the best portrayal of The Joker in any medium)

Agreed. The Timm-Dini DCAU (Batman TAS, Superman, JL/JLU, Static Shock, Batman Beyond) was a much better portrayal than, say, The Batman. But Brave and the Bold almost makes me forget how much I hated "The Batman."

Also agreed. You never felt like Batman was fighting 'lesser' villians. And it never really seemed like too much of a stretch of belief for him to be able to defeat him.
Also.... I LIKED The Batman. It was a good variation. Even that Joker deserves some appreciation. Though them using the Batman Vs Dracula theme was the top of it all. When they started bringing in the other heroes, then it kinda felt bleh.

I have mixed feelings about The Batman. Its definitely weaker than TAS, or even Brave & Bold, but on the other hand, I really think the first season had tight story telling and great characters, and managed to capture the notion that Batman was a very dark character without being too much for kids. The visuals were awful, though.
Once Batgirl & Robin showed up, The Batman was a bad joke just waiting to die.
To be fair, though... Brave & Bold has something that TAS and The Batman didn't have. Its based on the Silver Age of comics, and even though it doesn't stick strictly to its Silver Age roots, its not hounded by the sense of continuity that modern comic book fans want. I wouldn't really refer to TAS as a "fun" series. Brave & Bold is definitely "for fun"
Why don't we have a good silver age game around here???
<Edit> Fixed my post so that it said what I meant, not what I originally typed.

Vol. 1 of The Guardians was full of Silver Age silliness. And Brainstem's started a Silver Age game.
But I would be all for playing in a Silver Age game.

I didn't really like that number at first.. But each time i listen to it, it's becoming more and more of an earworm. The henchmen singing always gets me. XD

Grey Delisle has the voice of an angel. I would listen to her sing the ABC's and she'd make me feel melancholy-happy regardless.

Singing aside, I cant believe they put up so much innuendos in three minute long song, in a kids cartoon.

Nobody in their "target age group" should get that except for maybe a funny feeling here and there.
If I myself were of that age, the fact that I have a thing for that "vintage/pin-up" sort of look would make a whole lot of sense right about now.

I also think that its just a reference to the fact that there was a lot of "wink wink nudge nudge" stuff in the actual Silver Age. As long as it was over the kids' heads, what was the harm?
