EdgeworthAs they arrived on the crime scene, Edgeworth sighed deeply, a reaction Gumshoe easily linked to the Prosecutor's legendary of everything even remotely supernatural. Voodoo witches, magics, sorcery, spells, ghosts... he just didn't like it. Life was already complicated enough with mad scientists with gadgets such as the Shocker, and superbeings that science could at least explain somewhat, such as mutants with that X-Gene of theirs... but magic users were simply... different. Miles Edgeworth didn't even believe in magic for much of his life, but since then he's had enough contact with it to know it was real... much to his dismay. On the good side, however, he knew someone who could maybe give him a hand. He got out of his car with Gumshoe, then searched his pocket for his cellphone, and dialed a phone number... and waited for his old friend and rival, Phoenix Wright, or his assistant, Maya Fey, to pick up. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Just getting my phone and calling Phoenix Wright and/or Maya Fey, his assistant.

In a matter of seconds a woman's voice is on the other line. "You've reached the firm of Nelson, Murdock, and Wright, how may I help you?"

Edgeworth
Edgeworth wasn't sure if the voice on the phone was Maya's. In fact, the woman sounded so official and not Maya's usual, hyperactive and overly cheerful childish self that he was pretty sure it wasn't her.
-Good afternoon. This is Prosecutor Miles Edgeworth, I would like to have a word with mister Wright. Or with miss Fey, if he isn't available at the moment.

"Okay... Sure." She says. Moments later. "Hey Miles, what can I do for you?" Phoenix asks.

Edgeworth
-Wright. It's been a while.
Even back in school, Edgeworth most often called his friend by his last name. When they became rivals, he never called him Phoenix again. Even now that they were friends again, he had kept that habit. The prosecutor didn't like to owe even a friend, but in this specific case, he had to admit Wright had more runs-in with occult stuff than he.
-You've probably read the newspapers already, about that case of the Shocker attacking a bank. You probably know I'm the prosecutor on this case. Well, it so happens that a certain... situation occured, in which I need your help. Or more precisely, Maya's help.

Wright doesn't need to heear much more. "Just give me the where, and we're on our way."

Edgeworth
-The scene of the crime... the bank itself. Oh, and, Wright? If Maya has anything that can protect against voodoo magic... bring it with you. I'll be waiting.
The Prosecutor hung up, and looked at Gumshoe.
-Wright and his assistant will be here soon, detective. Wait here for them; I'll have a look around the scene, there is something I need to look for.
He then started walking around, searching. He especially looked in places that could have evaded a less skilled investigator's notice... for example, in a plant's pot, behind a desk, everywhere a small object could have mysteriously disappeared. If the police had found what he was looking for, he would already have it as evidence... but he didn't, so he guessed that the mysterious "Lucky Charm" Schultz went to buy from Calypso was either still at the bank or simply a inconsistency in Shultz's testimony. And both could be useful for Edgeworth. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 12 stones into Investigating (Crime scenes, Search for clues/Evidence) to try to find the "Lucky Charm" Schultz had spoken about that he was supposed to buy from Callypso.

You don't find much of anything... Then you look under a short table to find a small plastic bag broken open a strange white powder leaking out of the bag.

The Prosecutor frowns, puts on his gloves, then picks the small bag up. Was it even what he was looking for?
-Detective, take a look at this and tell me if you can identify it. This... could be important, I hope.
He gave the small bag to Gumshoe then stood back up, wondering if he had missed something... and when Wright and Maya would show up.

"Well Mr. Edgeworth... I'm not 100% sure, but I think at least some of it, is cocaine." Gumshoe says.
Soon after a car pulls up outside the bank, and Wright, and Fey arrive.

Edgeworth
-Hmm. Detective, we need to know if there are any fingerprints on that bag, and if so, to whom they belong. Also, I would like a complete analysis of the contains of that bag. Maybe this is insignificant... or maybe it is exactly what we were looking for.
The prosecutor had his doubts on the bag; he was almost sure that it was connected to the case, and almost sure that its contents were more than simple cocaine. As Gumshoe had said, at least some of it was probably just that... but what about the rest?
Edgeworth walked towards the two, seemingly lost in his thoughts. When he got near, he looked at them more directly and nodded.
-Wright... miss Fey. Thanks for getting here that quickly. This case is... a bit unusual, and I'm afraid magic is a little outside of my expertise.

"I'll have some friends of mine in forensics take a look at it." Gumshoe says making a call.
"Okay...." Meya says concentrating... "Spirits... A few of them... inhabiting Schultz's body at once... eliminating his free will... Making him... a puppet of a string. He was too weak to resist... He was taking eating powder provided by a woman as part of... some sort of cood luck ritual..." She finally comes out of it, and starts to collapse.

Edgeworth
-Hm... seems like I was right, thinking tha... WHOA!
Seeing the girl collapse, Miles caught her before she hit the ground. It was not the first time he had seen her use her "powers", but he never had a firm understanding of how it really worked, nor did he remember that Maya sometimes collapsed from too much effort. He put her down gently, and removed his vest which he then folded and put under her head.
-Here, rest for awhile. No need to exhaust yourself, you've already helped much. Well, Wright... what do you think? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2 stones in Agility to catch her before she hits the ground, and 2 in Strength to put her down slowly so she does not hurt herself and she can recover.

"Well... I think at the very least, the Cocaine was mixed in to help keep him from resisting." Wright says.

Edgeworth
-.....
Edgeworth stared at his old friend, finally choosing not to answer anything to that. Sometimes, Wright really deserved the title of Captain Obvious.
-...Yes. Quite possibly. Well... if we are lucky, there might be fingerprints of both Schultz and Calypso. This could be a solid enough proof to incriminate her for that crime. If not, well, we might have to investigate this a little further. Gumshoe, how long will it take for the forensics experts to examine the evidence?
