It was a cold and misty Maine morning when the team dropped, using SHIELD-designed HALO units (a sort of anti-gravity parachute), to the grounds of the Latverian Embassy. Why Latveria had an Embassy in Maine at all was a question that an insightful person might have been asking, but the more focused individual would probably point out that for purposes of their mission, one didn't need to know why.
The manor house itself was near to crumbling, having been built ages ago, in the colonial period. From their vantage point in a small stand of apple trees about a half mile from the building itself, they could see that the terrorists had set out guards to patrol the perimeter, and that they were more clever than most; each carried a communication device in his hand with a built-in deadman's switch. Should the patrolman's finger leave that switch, everyone would instantly be alerted to the fact that something was happening.
The only building, other than the main house, was a small stone shed in the back which appeared considerably newer than the main construction. A single guard stood at the small metal door to the shack, alertly clutching both communicator and rifle.

Mongoose takes in the scene as he arms himself. Inky darkness bleeds from his costume -- or is it his skin? -- pooling into his hand, stretching and expanding into the silhouette of a firearm complete with shoulder strap; a short, mean-looking assault rifle made of the same stuff Mongoose seems to be.
His super-sharp senses take in every detail of the compound before them, from the nervous tick on the lookout's face to the faint electric whine coming from his communicator. It reminded him of another battle with other terrorists...
His team was pinned down by enemy fire from the other side of the outcrop currently affording its protection. They were low on ammo and out-gunned, but the four marines gave no thought to any of that. Defeat was not in them.
Thats when Sergeant Michael Futari heard it. Above the staccato chatter of automatic weapons fire, behind the rock that protected them, a high pitched ring of metal scraping metal that could be only one thing. Somehow one of the insurgents had snuck right up to their position and was getting ready to toss a grenade into their midst.
Faster than thought -- faster than registered in the minds of his friends or foes -- Sergeant Futari sprang from his cover and, using the rock itself like a springboard, scurried over the outcrop and flipped to the earth beyond it. The enemy fighter turned, surprised -- the marine was holding his grenade, safety lever firmly in his grasp...
"I can get past the guards no problem and take that dead-man switch from him. What's the range on those traps of yours, Trapper?"

Shivering from the cold, Deadpool starts to rub his arms to warm himself a bit. "It's cold. Should have asked Santa for some insulated tights this year. Either that or that Mary Jane Watson in a thong by the fireplace. She can warm me up anytime." Deadpool took a nice long look at the mansion, taking note of the perimeter guards rotations as well as a possible count of how many there are. He figured the others could take the shed guard out with out his help, so for now, he would collect some info and try to find out who these guys are working for. He then stealthily starts to work his way towards the manor.

"I can throw them pretty far, but be careful, they're kinda like grenades in their spray. I also have usual adhesive spray." He rolls his eyes as he looks to Deadpool, "So what's our move?"

"I'm sure you guys can take care of that lone guard in the shed. Just make sure he doesn't take his finger off that switch. You can have the walking computer virus there do his whatsawhosits and take out that switch without setting it off. Off course, we could always go with plan B and kill everything that moves."

Bonebreaker listened to his teammates banter, while his eyes hidden behind the dark tinted lenses took in the enemy. As much as he would love to place his faith in his new teammates he was not confident that they would be able to take out every guard without alerting the place to their presence.
He watched in amusement as Mongoose formed a weapon out of....himself? Now that was cool. He nodded his head when Deadpool spoke.
"How about this? Plan A we take out the guards without them letting go of the deadman switches. If that fails we go to plan B. Kill em all and let the gods sort em out." He cracked his knuckles in anticipation. "OK then you and Trapster do your thing and I'll cover you."

Trapster nods. "On it." He sneaks towards the guard, keeping to the shadows, slowly waiting for his moment, and timing it just right, so the spray of paste would keep his hand held firmly on the button.

Mongoose nods and moves to follow Trapster. As he does so, his skin deepens in its blackness, spilling down over his gauntlets and boots as if devouring them. The blackness becomes so intense it actually begins to absorb the light, and Mongoose fades from sight.
"Ill be right by you," his disembodied voice says to his cigar-chomping teammate.

"Self will endeavor to pinpoint any additional guards on the premises." Warlock said as he tried to hang back, lacking the stealthy skills that his compatriots apparently displayed.
Instead, he just knealt down and placed his fingers on his head, eyes closing as he began to scan wirelessly for any radio signals, even coming from the deadman switches, and trying to pinpoint as many as he can on the grounds, or inside the building, and where they were..

Bonebreaker watched as Mongoose slowly became invisible. Impressive.
Relying on his own training and vibranium laced skin to help keep him hidden he trailed about ten meters behind Trapster, ready to take out the guard if the man's trap failed.

Action #2: 3 stones into close combat + 3 from strength to attack the guard, but only if needed. Otherwise he will not attack.

Sneaking up on the guards wasn't all that difficult for seasoned professionals. Pete's attack caught the man's hand on his radio, just as planned. So far, everything seemed to be going well. Maybe too well.
Warlock opened himself up to the local networks... and got a bit more than he bargained for. There were at least 30 radio units (but no way of knowing if each was carried by an actual human), but more importantly, someone, very nearby (from the direction of the "shed", but below ground) was sending masses of encrypted data to a satellite.

Warlock accessed his own teams radio systems to inform them of what he received. Fortunately, he had little use to carry a radio, when he himself was a radio!
"SelfAllyDeadpool, SelfAllyPetruskiTrapster,SelfAllyBoneBreaker, SelfAllyMongoose... Self is detecting a quantity of 30 radio signals from inside the building. This does not guarantee 30 or less individuals, but self will continue to try and glean what information Self can.
There is also data being uploaded inside the shed via an encrypted signal. Ready yourselves outside it, and Self will try and access the signal before you enter.
Is there agreement?"

"Before you do that, can you send out a dummy signal to match the kill switches these guards are carrying? If we don't have to worry about the kill switches, it'll make my job a lot easier." Deadpool kept his distance and remained hidden as he watched the guards movements around the mansion, plotting on the best way to take the guards down.... and look cool while doing it.
