I suppose it's about time I stopped raiding my Outbox for CADs and place them somewhere easily accessable...

My first character upon returning to MURPG after my many years long hiatus: Samuel Zachery Guthrie. As re-imagined for PGHollands X-School. CHARACTER NAME: Cannonball SECRET IDENTITY: Samuel Zachery Guthrie SPECIES: Mutant GENDER: Male HAIR: Blonde EYES: Blue HEIGHT: 5'10" WEIGHT: 170 lbs AGE: 16

Right on his first day, Sam and his father's friend, Lewis, were trapped in a cave-in. In his panic, Sam discovered his mutant ability, which allowed him and Lewis to escape the collapse. In wake of this event, Sam discovered the newfound freedoms and sense of empowerment his abilities brought him... and they ran in direct opposition to the straight-and-narrow path his mother was trying to keep him on. Too independent for his own good, Sam eventually had enough and ran away. Within weeks he fell in with a small crew of like-minded individuals... Young mutants on the run, low on cash and high on life. Under Sam's leadership, they came to call themselves "The Runaways"... and took to Robin-Hood-esque stealing from the rich in order to provide for the poor (which included themselves). Two years of this lifestyle caught up with them though, and some bad publicity brought them into a lime-light that would inevitably spell their end... ============= Sam didn't know how the man had found their current base of operations (a conveniently abandoned subway terminal). He didn't rightly care either. It was one guy, and all eight of his crew were present. "Think ya might be a little lost there stranger, this here is our home you've gone and wandered into uninvited. State your business, or scram." Thermochemical ignition lights along his lower half as Sam raises into a hovering position to offer a bit more intimidation than numbers alone might do. Unsurprisingly two or three of the others offer up flashy displays of their own. "My apologies for arriving unannounced, but it was an arduous task finding you at all. The man offers, bowing sleightly at his waist in some fancy formality that was lost on Sam and his crew. His accent was pure brittish, and his suit obviously of high end european style (even to those who only saw such things on tv). "My name is Donald Pierce, and I'm here to offer you all a Very high paying job; A VERY high paying job."The man held up a manila folder, a white chess pawn embossed on it's cover. Curious, Sam had accepted the folder and flipped through it thoughtfully. His first impulse was to tell the guy to scram, and suggest The Runaways find a new home. One quick look at Tabitha across the room, flipping idly through her celebrity gossip magazine was all it took to change his mind. When she darted a glance at the apparently loaded Brit offering them a job, Sam knew what he had to do. He was sixteen, she was hot and had as yet not noticed his interest. To his mind, the kind of money spelled out in offer might be just what he needed to turn her head in his direction at long last. "I dunno boss. This mission sounds awfully covert-like... and you might'a noticed, my crew here aint exactly big on the whole subtle side o' the spectrum." Sam was betting that this guy had seen the news feed of the crew robbing a bank last week. Tripwire had missed a CCTV Camera, and Sam suspected it may have been an intentional mistake~ One that had lead to instant infamy on the news. Part of why they'd been laying low ever since. Much as he wanted to pounce on the job, he was worried about the publicity they'd already gotten... and any this job might itself add to the mix. "Provided it's a clean get away, and my employers recieve word that the Product will not reach its intended destination... I'm sure they'll be more than sufficiently pleased. Further, the spoils may be kept if you like." Is the mans quick counter. Eleven Million dollars, plus the shipment of freshly minted Bail Bonds? Another look at Tabitha is all it takes for Sam. "Right then. We'll take the job."================== <FAST-FORWARD> ================== The job was simple enough. The crew was to hit a Military Freight Train as it was passing through a series of mountainous passes and tunnels. The hit-zone was remote, which meant any backup or unforseen news crews shouldn't be an issue. In theory. In application, things even started out smooth enough. The Runaways got to the Job-Zone, picked their ambush site, and laid in careful wait. Even getting onto the train itself went according to plan, and Sam was thinking that the Gods had finally begun to smile down upon he and his bunch. Which of course proved the pivitol moment for things to go straight to hell and back. Which is precisely what happened. The team had been going car to car, traveling via the rooftops. Then with a suddeness that cannot be described in words, the Engine (still thirty some odd cars ahead) exploded backwards. The sounds of metal warping, bending, breaking, and even melting filled the air. Most of the Runaways were thrown from their respective positions. Sam and Leon managed to level off in flight before hitting the ground, both climbing high in the sky to figure out what in the heck had just happened. From their high vantage, they could see an enormoush red-clad and dome-helmeted figure dislodging himself from what had been the fourth car before his momentum carried him half-way through it. He steps free, ignoring the random gunfire from the reacting military escort as it pelted harmlessly on his hide. "What in Jean-Hosephine is that?!" Sam asks of Leon, never having seen a man so large... trying to wrap his mind around how he'd single-handedly brought the speeding train to a stand still. Leon doesn't answer though, because he's pointing to the left... six other figures are approaching on foot, and all of them walk with a vibe of people that weren't to be messed with. Sams attention is drawn back to the giant in red at the trains head. A thick finger is pointed at the pair of them. [glow=red,2,300]"You kids, you got one chance. Join Chuck, or learn firsthand what it is to get smashed by The Unstoppable Juggernaut![/glow] "Who the heck is Chuck?" Sam asks. Apparently, that's all the answer his crew needed... because they erupted into action. Various, and uncoordinated action... but action none the less. Various explosive energies and abilities resound through the valley, the tell-tale sign of the Runaways at play. Only today, it wasn't play. Today, they'd found themselves in WAY over their heads. "Leon! Grab the package, that's what's most important!" He shouts to the boy hovering next to him. He sees most of his crew charging off towards the oncoming blue-clad people. Which left the Red Giant. "I'll show Jugg-Head down there why you guys call me the Cannonball!" With a full toothy grin, he launches himself at top speed towards Juggernaut~ Thermochemical energies raged around his body, fully encasing him in their protective cocoon as he sets a collision course with the now charging Juggernaut. The sound he'd labeled as his Sonic Boom was as nothing compared to the explosive concussion created when he collided with the Juggernaut. The sound may have hurt his ears (wax-inserts for hearing protection or not), but it was infentessimal compared to the bone shattering pain that wracked him as he was sent flying off to the West (on pure momentum alone, his Thermochemical discharges rapidly fading with his consciousness). ================== <FAST-FORWARD> ================== Some time later, Sam woke up. His body was a lead weight of numbness that promised to last for a good long time and lead only to increasing pain. He was alone, having somehow survived his impact. He could only assume that his abilities had lasted long enough to cushion his landing. Impact crater or not. It took a few minutes to clear his head, and regulate his breathing. Standing up threatened a blackout, but he pushed through. On his feet at last, he began to run before leaping into the air and skyrocketing as high and fast as he could. Once he reached an elevation from which he could spot the tracks, and follow them to the train wreck~ He took off towards it. By the time he arrived, everyone was gone. Dead bodies litered the scene, all of them the military that had tried to defend the train from two opposing groups of mutants. Little remained of the freight cars that wasn't twisted metal, or on fire. Clearly the ensuing battle had lead to serious collatoral damage. The ground beneath where Sam had collided with the Juggernaut was a scorched crater nearly eleven feet in diameter, but the tracks indicated that the giant hadn't even broken pace under the durress. Which means, he prolly left me for dead when I spiraled off like a dead gnat.He moved on to look over the area where he'd last seen his crew. It was pockmarked with smaller craters... signs of obvious battle. Blood splatters were evident, bits of torn fabric. No bodies though. Taken prisoner, or back to the crib?[glow=purple,2,300]"They're gone. Beyond your reach, for now. "[/glow] A voice speaks inside his mind, causing Sam to spin in place (and nearly pass out again). "Who's there?!" He asks, having never experienced telepathy before. [glow=purple,2,300]"Who I am is of little importance. Know that I shielded your mind, and kept them from locating you. It was the best I could do, I'm sorry. You need to go, I won't be able to shield your presense much longer."[/glow] "Go? What? Where are m'friends!?"[glow=purple,2,300]"They're gone, I'm sorry. Go to New York. Find Erik. Erik Lehnsherr, he alone can help you now.[/glow] A wind caresses the back of Sam's neck, and he realizes she's gone. Whoever she was, whatever her intentions, or how Sam knew... whatever, she was gone. ================== <FAST-FORWARD> ================== The trip to New York was a long one, especially since Sam opted to only travel at night... and even then he flew slow and low due to the darkness. Forraging for food each day was a task beyond his skill, so he had to sink to new lows in the smaller towns that he passed through. As he went, memories of his life to date tortured his mind. His family, long left behind on childish impulse, suddenly dear to his heart. Perhaps it was the near-death experience, or the reality that he wasn't the King of the World that he'd imagined. Even his little brothers image pulled at his heart. Sam knew he couldn't go there ever again, not if this Chuck or his Jolly-Red-Giant were looking for him. They'd be toasted. Or worse, leverage. The Runaways. They'd been a pseudo family of another sort, one he'd chosen and molded. Mutants like him. Runaways like him. Brothers. Sisters. Tabitha. He'd never stepped up, never been man enough to tell her how he felt. Now she was gone. Alive? Dead? Sam had no idea. That ignorance bothered him most of all. ================== <FAST-FORWARD> ================== Sam’s been a student at the school for almost a year now. He’s had his own series of private classes with various tutors, catching him up educationally (as he’d dropped out at age 14 when he ran away, and was now 16). His spare time floats between relaxing flights into the upper atmosphere, playing sports with classmates, and scouring the internet for any signs of Tabitha or the other Runaways.

======================== ======================== ========================
Nathaniel Roger Stevens was born and raised in a small town in eastern Pennsylvania. Despite it being raised in a rural community, more agriculturally focused than not, he had shown remarkable aptitude for Biology.
Due to this predilection for the sciences, and his relatively weak stature (compared to the Farm Boys and Athletes), Nathaniel lead a rough childhood. He was never 'Good Enough' for his parents, who saw his older brother (and star athlete) as their golden child. His fellow students ridiculed him to no end, the Mocking, Jeering, Jokes, and Pranks all serving to make Nathaniel into a very cynical young man. Driven by these negativities though, he graduated with honors and went on to win a full scholarship to Penn State University.
There Nathaniel majored in Biology (with a specialty in Genetics). His social life saw little experience beyond the lab, and even his one girlfriend had been a fellow Genetics Major (though they broke up when she went on to Medical School).
Shortly after receiving his degree, Nathaniel was hired by Essex Genetics Systems (A relatively obscure contracting company that's been providing technicians and geneticists to the US Government since the early 1930's). This would lead him to work on multiple government funded projects, at various locations around the country (and even a short stint in London). Most of his work involved people and places that required non-disclosure agreements.
One such project, would eventually place him alone after hours with a temptation he never would have imagined when he took the job.
His work at this particular Facility was code named WRAITH... and he'd been dutifully working on it for almost two years. WRAITH was the proposed name for a theoretical formula combining the Original Super Soldier Serum (as given to Steve Rogers during WWII), and a recently acquired Russian equivalent (bearing only the Greek character Omega on its label). Along with eight other Lab Technicians, Nathaniel had been attempting extract the unstable properties and merge the two distinctly differing approaches to a common goal. Over the years, various prototypes had gone to Human Trials. Trials to date had resulted anywhere from Instant Death to things far worse than death. None pleasant, and none acceptable to the Facilities Director (Dr. Nathan Milbury)
On the morning of this aforementioned day, a surprise Federal Review Panel arrived at the lab. A mixture of scientists from around the country, one of which was his ex-College Sweetheart. After a tour of the lab in which Nathaniel was working, the two managed to drop behind and have some alone time. She said she was quite impressed with his work there, and even flirted discreetly with him. The two were lost in talk when it happened.
An explosion rocked the facility. Lights flickered, alarms sounded. A secondary concussion resounded through the structure, walls dropped and ceilings collapsed. Nathaniel came to in a room rapidly filling with smoke, his ex-College Sweetheart was pinned beneath a large slab of concrete. She was alive, but seriously injured. Nathaniel could feel the heat of the encroaching flames, could barely breathe from the smoke, and his once-love was fading fast. With the phones inoperative and no help in sight Nathaniel was all she had. Not knowing what else to do, Nathaniel grabbed the most recent permutation of the WRAITH Formula and injected it into himself.
The flood of chemicals and adrenaline surged through him. Pain unlike anything he'd ever experienced. His bones ached, joints were popping. His frame was elongating. The parlor of his skin was dimming. He felt strong and weak at the same time. He felt alive, but hollow. He wondered if this was what it felt like to die... then realization hit him. He was alive. He stood up, the tatters of his suit and lab coat falling to the floor in shreds. The distance back to the concrete slab was covered in seconds as opposed to minutes, and it was moved with an ease that bordered on impossible.
Tragically, she died by the time Nathaniel got her to safety. Paramedics were baffled, but attributed her death to shock and asphyxiation... in truth; she died as the first victim of Nathaniel’s new abilities.
Later that night, around 0400... Military Police stormed his apartment. He was taken into custody and returned to the lab. Four of the Military Policemen passed out in transit. Dr Milbury immediately put him into isolation... where he almost died before the Insulated Omega Suit was devised, fabricated, and implemented.
Once contained within the suit, Nathaniel was able to exert enough control for examinations and tests under Dr. Milbury's direct supervision. Tests revealed the serum had been a resounding success... but all work and samples had been lost in the aftermath of the accident. With few options remaining short of vivisection Nathaniel began to realize just how deep he'd found himself. He'd risked everything to save the girl, and she'd ended up dead anyhow… Possibly because of him. Now, he was poised to join her... just so that Dr. Milbury could figure out what they'd finally gotten right.
Unwilling to die, Nathaniel decided it was time to leave. Luckily he'd been a cooperative 'Guest', and the cell to which he'd been moved was designed with such a guest in mind. The walls proved little impedance for a man of his newfound strength, and the MP's were just as ineffective.
So he went on the run. A wanted fugitive, possibly looking at Espionage charges to boot (having effectively stolen a multi- million-dollar effort).
Eventually, he found himself holed up in Philadelphia; Loading UPS trucks in the mornings and evenings for a meager living. He'd been on the LAMB for a long time, but recently decided he couldn't sit idly by in these darkening times. He had a power, and the community was in need. Plus, he had to drain in order to survive... this being the case, why not prey upon the criminal deviants populating his beloved city?
The reporters claimed their new cities vigilante was brutal, and unnecessarily violent. They didn't seem to care about how difficult it might be to moderate a punch, when one can bench- press a school bus. Add to that the sensations of dizziness and nausea that his powers tended to leave witnesses with, and it just got worse as people even went so far as to label him some sort of vampire or ghost. That he'd taken to calling himself Wraith likely didn't help matters either.

CONFLICTING INTEREST [-01W] *Tesla may at times have conflicting interests should the League's needs come into opposition with that of his own company (Tesla Electric Light & Manufacturing).
ENMITY - THOMAS EDDISON [-03W] *Tesla and Eddison have an established and deep enmity, this has increased in this Alter-Version in that Tesla took his creative geneius back to Europe and set himself and his company up in direct competition with Eddison.
MINOR DISABILITY [VISION] [-01W] *Tesla must wear a monicle over his left eye to correct his vision. This corrective lense has been incorperated into the helmet of his Power Armor as well.
PSYCHOLOGICAL [ANGER] [-03W] *Tesla's pride as taken a great many hits over the years, hits that have resulted in a short fuse. Often the target of public criticism, nefarious PR sewn by Thomas Eddison, and even his closest of colleages (for his more 'crazy' notions). It was this very short fuse which inspired him to create the Tesla-Suit Mark I in an attempt to prove that his theories on the wireless transmission of electrical energy was possible (The Master of Electricity technology). His anger has since boiled over into his vigilante-ism at night, where more than one criminal has found it's better to surrender.
PSYCHOLOGICAL [HUBRIS] [-02W] *Tesla is an insatiably arrogant prick when defending his advanced theories on electricity. This has begun to tarnish his public image, and lend increasingly more of his colleagues to vew him as a 'Mad Scientist' as opposed to the revolutionary genius they once took him for.
Sir Nikola Tesla Inventor, Mechanical Engineer, and Electrical Engineer. Nikola Tesla was a Serbian genius, who has become widely applauded for his advancements and papers in his fields. Many of Europe's leading scientists call him a Revolutionary, capable of reshaping technology (and the world) as we know it. After a distinguished career in Europe, Tesla moved to America in 1884. With a short letter of introduction from Charles Batchelor, he was hired in short order by Thomas Edison. After setting himself apart, and advancing through most of Edison Machine Works' most difficult hangups Edison offered Tesla $50,000 (1.1 Million equivalent to 2007 inflation) if he'd redesign Edison's inefficient motors and generators~ An offer he'd later renege on, citing that Tesla hadn't understood the sarcasm (American Humor). After his break with Edison in early 1885, Tesla suffered a mental breakdown. [Authentic History Breaks Here. From Here On Is My Version] By the close of 1886 Nikola resurfaced in London as the CEO of a new company called Tesla Electric Light & Manufacturing (amongst his primary share holders and investors were numerous nobles of the English court). Tesla Electric Light & Manufacturing started initially as a bid of opposition against his American counterpart and enemy~ The thieving scientist Thomas Edison. It has since grown from there, bringing England and much of Europe into the newest fields of technology and advancing industry. His recent publications on X-Rays, have caused an enormous stir amidst the medical fields~ and ensure his continued good financial fortunes for his cutting-edge patents. Money and infamy has gotten him into all the right circles, and even a Knighthood. Unfortunately, because of his eccentric personality, growing hubris, and his seemingly unbelievable and sometimes bizarre claims about scientific and technological developments (especially his more recent and radical theories regarding wireless transmission of electrical energy), Tesla has become increasingly ostracized and regarded as a mad scientist by many. His decorum at numerous social functions of late have reflected a growing temper, which has even gone so far as to incite challenges to duel! It is posited that only his ever-increasing wealth, new inventions, and connections are responsible for his continued status among England's elite. Some few months prior to the games commencement, one such heated debate erupted over just how much control Tesla could possibly have over electrical current in order to efficiently broadcast it over any length of distance. Even in wake of having single handed pioneered X-Ray technology, he was still being doubted Tesla went into seclusion. When he finally came out of his Lab, he'd finished something he felt would show them all~ The Tesla Suit Mark I. Being a sound scientist though, Nikola knows he can not just reveal such a masterpiece to his colleagues over tea. They'd need to see it in action. They were the sort that needed to SEE to believe apparently, and shortsighted as he found this to be Nikola knew it was the only way he'd find vindication. So, in order to test-bed his latest of technologies in a fashion that couldn't be doubted~ Tesla has been using the Tesla Suit to patrol London's streets at night~ Enforcing the Queens Good Law even where the Police seem unable to. STATUE OF NIKOLA TESLA (As seen at the gates to his secluded home outside London)

So, I've always had a thing for Iceman. He was the first X-Man I ever saw (back on the Marvel Universe Action Hour when I was a little kid. BACKGROUND: Robby grew up in a secluded warehouse in the bad side of downtown Philly. His father was an ex-thief of some notriety, his mother (ex-CIA Black Ops) also living in hiding. The two moved there to escape their lives, and raise their son away from the politics of their respective pasts... If only they'd have known the calling was literally in his blood~ they might have saved themselves the time and effort. Robby (as his parents called him growing up) was a distant and dispassionate child. Accused of being virtually apathetic by the teachers in the public school he attended. By age 11, he was kicked out of the only three free public schools in range for getting into fights (And his parents couldn't afford a nicer school with the money they were making in their 'straight' jobs)~ Homeschooling was his parents only hope of him getting a proper education apparently. Of course when parents come from such heritages, it tends to become readily apparent that the only things they could really teach their son were the very things they'd been trying to keep him from. Things changed at his 14th birthday party though. A climatic manifestation of his mutagenic ability killed his only friend (a 15 yr old girl named Lauren), impaled through the heart with a stalagtite of organic ice... a substance that seemed to comprise Roberts entire body now! During the early 70's, Robby's mom had encountered her fair share of mutant operatives... and she knew she wasn't capable of handeling her son. He'd need formal training in his abilities. She only knew one man capable... Now, at age 25 Dhark (As he calls himself) Has developed his powers to frighteningly potent levels, and has plied them in the trade of Assasination (a CIA contract operative on the books). Able to thwart most security systems undetected and kill without leaving any evidence what so ever. Able to heal wounds in a fraction of an hour that would prove lethal in others... Once even reassembeling himself after seeming to have been killed by a well aimed grenade. The body guard was amongst the first persons to suffer retribution for the traumatizing experience of Death and Reformation. What he hadn't counted on was meeting HER. A woman of such beauty as to melt his frozen heart. A woman who had driven a splinter into him so deep that no bio-organic ice reformation would ever be able to expunge it. She called herself Marie, and she'd been in love with the Bodyguard he'd killed mere moments before she ran into the room. She was also his target. When she came after Bobby in vengence, he found himself disinclined to kill her or even fight back... which almost proved fatal (in more than just the physical sense). Her touch breathed a lifetime of memories and emotions into him.... things he'd never had, nor been forced to deal with. The Apathy he'd been unofficially diagnosed with melted... the mental assault nearly drove him insane. Much like his mother, Robby fled the lifestyle in confusion. Memories of his own crimes, and those not his own, causing him to question himself and his calling thus far. His motivations, and his purpose. Killing wasn't so much an issue, more that he had been killing without cause. Killing for the sake of killing, because someone else was paying him to do it.

The next GM to welcome me aboard was Dominus, in his Modern Age Vs. Golden Age game... or rather the sub-game entitled: Support Your Local Superhero (SYLS). There I adopted the role of Lazarus (one of my favorite biblical names): NAME: Lazarus TRUE NAME: Unknown ORIGIN: Unknown BRIEF DESCRIPTION: Lazarus stands 5'11", and though he looks of a solidly lean build, his strength lies more in his agility than in muscle. His hair is bright white, and unkept. His face, rough hewn with deep set eyes and strong bone structure that is almost statuesque. Stubborn stubble lines his jaw and cheeks where time has not permitted a clean shave, nor complacency a full beard. His attire is a combination of loose-fitting reds and blacks, topped off with a kevlar laced trenchcoat.

SEVEN LIFETIMES [01W] *Lazarus can only remember Seven Lifetimes/Incarnations. Every Seventh Resurection, he forgets the oldest Life on record. Flashes, and hazy bits may arise at the GM's Descrtion.
EXTREME HONOR [02W] *Lazarus has a very strict code of Honor, and a very black and white take on moral ethics. He strongly believes in the Law, and has dedicated every life that he can even vaguely remember to enforcing it. As a result, Lazarus will not break the law.
DEADLY ENEMIES [02W] *Lazarus has no idea how long he's truly been alive. He has no idea if he truly is the original Lazarus of Biblical origin, or a different being altogether that at one point adopted, or was given the name. Over the ages, he's earned himself more than a handful of deadly enemies (some of which have even killed him on more than one occasion)... and he cannot even remember them all, given his Seven Lifetimes Challenge.
EQUIPMENT[/B] KEVLAR BODY ARMOR *+02 Toughness *Nulifies X2 and Armor Penetration CUSTOM PISTOLS (x2) *+03 Modifier Stones *Damage x2 *Optional Stun [/TT] Fact or fiction, original or recent namesake, he's not certain. All the enigmatic gunslinger known as Lazarus knows for certain is that he's been walking the Earth for longer than he can remember... and that no matter how many times he's been killed, or how it's been tried (and the ways have been many) he just keeps on coming back. Memories of where he goes, or precisely what happens when he dies are nhil... and each time he comes back, he loses memory of his farthest back incarnation that he can presently recall (A fixed number of seven life-times at a time seems to be the max he can hold despite lengths). Aside from this uncanny ability to not stay dead; Lazarus is quicker, stronger, and more durable than the recognized peak human could hope to be... but not so potent as to be anything beyond the scope of human technology to duplicate through genetic manipulation (lending some modern Doctors to speculate him to being merely a Super-Soldier Serum leftover from the Cold War). Fact or fiction, he again doesn't know. What's certain then? He's a helluva shot, and extremely proficient in what recent movies have come to call Gun-Fu. He's got a bit of a rebellious streak when it comes to authority, but also has an extreme case of Honor (call that a perk or a drawback as you will). Some kind of modern white ronin or some such. They cliche of trained assassin gone good, maybe? Again, so much for certainty. Not a 'Superhero' by far, he's been content to live the life of Wandering Vigilante... doing his part, where and when he can, to Fight the Good Fight. For a small time he was part of a Federal Task Force... but was eventually discarded in favor of upscaling the project for flashier heroes. He vaguely recalls working for SHIELD, but the specifics are but figments from lifetimes already forgotten.

A game I homed in on the moment I returned, is one I finally geared up courage to ask the GM about. Andrew was kind enough to allow me to join his masterpiece take on THE AGE OF THE APOCALYPSE... my all time favorite spin on the Marvel Universe. Here, I thought was the place to try a character I'd never played or knew much about... but recently was inspired by in the artwork I've spied from the modern 'X-Force' covers. Warpath! NAME: James Proudstar ALIAS: Warpath HEIGHT: 6’1 WEIGHT: 250 LBS of Solid Muscle HAIR: Black EYES: White DISTINCTIVE MARKINGS: Thunderbird tattoo on back, Apache War Tattoo’s laced with Vibranium.

If his youth, and growth rate are any indication… these proportions will only increase as his powers continue to grow. HAUNTED PAST 03 James never realized the genetic tampering conducted on him, or his people within Camp Verde. Whatever natural path his evolution might have taken has been re-directed due to the manipulations of The Dark Beast. James’ near mythic (to his people) ability to manifest a Soul Knife was twisted somehow by the protective Vibranium Laced tattoos… the Warblade transformed every time from a gleaming blade of light to one of shadowy polished metal. Another side effect of the tampering (or perhaps an intentional effect) has left his psyche a beaten and battered field of piece-meal memories. DEADLY ENEMIES 05 Dark Beast – Ran genetic experiments out of Camp Verde, sees James as one of his proudest achievements. More so now that he’s running around with Vibranium Laced Tattoo’s which have already pre-empted and altered a Secondary Mutation before his Primary had even finished manifesting itself. Sinister – James aided a mutant escape plan from Essex’s personal stock, and ran away from his position amongst the Hellions. Scott and Alex Summers – Two Prelates that gave chase to Warpath, and were forced to abandon the hunt due to interference of the X-Men. They don’t appreciate having the loss of the traitorous Warpath on their record. Sabertooth – One of Warpath’s first mutant on mutant battles, the pair fought to a stalemate. Sabertooth wants a rematch as soon as time and responsibility will allow. The Hellions – The team of young mutants with whom he’d served under Apocalypse alongside. They see James as a deserter, a traitor, and so deserving of death. COMPULSION TO STICK UP FOR THE UNDERDOG 05 Risked life and limb to aid in the Mutant Underground operating within Sinister’s personal Slave-Pens. Sees his powers and abilities as a mark of responsibility. If they cannot stand up for themselves, Warpath sees it as his job to do so for them. =========== Backstory =========== Most of James’ earliest memories were of growing up on the reclusive Camp Verde, a mutant haven for Native American Indians hidden deep with the Verde Reservation Lands in Arizona. The camp had been formed some twenty years before his birth, he facility was funded and set up by a wealthy mutant philanthropist named Charles Xavier. He left the administration of the facility in the hands of the Reservations eldest mutant (and coincidentally a geneticist that had devoted his life to the X-Gene within the Native American Community), Doctor Edwin Martynec. Growing up in Camp Verde was an amazing experience for the handful of mutants. They were sheltered from the outside world, and never treated as anything special (beyond the weekly Blood Samples and their ‘Mutant-Powered’ versions of traditional sports). Even the surrounding Reservation treated them as spirit blessed, and held the Camp and it’s inhabitants as one of their cultures most closely guarded secrets. To this day, James cannot recall what had motivated him to leave when he turned fifteen. He does know that he spent a few years traveling… allowing the prevailing winds to choose his path for him each day, almost as though he were in a Vision Quest. When the Forces of Apocalypse came, and began recruiting… James fled back to the Reservation, believing that he’d be safe there. What he found was that the entire reservation had been put to torch, and Camp Verde itself was a destroyed husk of it’s former self. Amidst the ruins, James accessed the old tunnels leading down to the underground part of the base. There he was subdued by the defense systems. James awoke on a lab-table, with the shadowy silhouette of Doctor Edwin Martynec looming over him. The lights came up slowly, revealing the secure bindings holding him in place. ”Welcome Home James.” The Doctor greeted, but made no moves to release him. Rather, another set of metal restraints slid into place over the originals. ”You needn’t struggle. They’re made of Vibranium, a nearly indestructible substance you’ll soon learn a great deal about…” When next he awoke, the restraints were gone and the lab was empty. A visual inspection of himself caused great shock~ He was covered head to toe in Apache War Tattoo’s… only they gleamed as though metallic. Retrieving his gear from the nearby table, James made his way again to the surface. There, waiting for him outside, was a cadre of mutants working for Apocalypse. The sort that weren’t likely to take no for an answer. James battled with Sabertooth for an hour, while the others watched on. Never had James felt so strong, so durable, so… energetic! At the battles conclusion the pair were separated. Sabertooth was furious at the interruption, not feeling the battle had gone long enough to establish which of them would have come out on top. The pale skinned man seemingly in charge of the bunch said it mattered little… he’d more than proved his Alpha Status. Things went dark then. Really dark. Some eight or nine months later, he came to mid-battle. He was working alongside two Prelates he intuitively knew as Scott and Alex Summers. As a trio, they were tracking down a group of escaped mutants from Sinister’s personal stock. Things went dark again, as whatever telepathic influence was messing with his mind again asserted itself. When next he managed to exert dominance within his own mind, he was watching the pens from a rooftop. He and he alone was watching thirteen mutants making a break under the distraction of a raid being launched on the facilities far side. A shadowy form lunged after them through the darkness. James recognized him at once… though it seemed a blur of two images. The Dark Beast… who had once disguised himself as Doctor Edwin Martynec. How James knew these things now, he couldn’t explain. But he did. That was what mattered. He leapt into action then, knowing that with the other Alpha’s tied up repelling the raid he’d have an open shot at revenge. When he caught up to the Dark Beast, he’d just managed to corner his prey. James stabbed him through the collar bone with his Spirit-Knife, and watched as the creature crumbled. With a boot he rolled him over, to look his victim in the eyes. The Dark Beast tried to speak, but James prevented any words with a swift kick to his face. James then proceeded to lead the escaped slaves beyond the Pens… foolishly assuming he’d left The Dark Beast for dead. James was found, and taken in by Emma Frost. She worked with him for a long time, sorting through the psychic mess that was his memory and inducted him into many of the special programs within her academy. It was she that gave him the moniker Warpath when she inducted him onto her Hellions as one of the teams original members... His connections with Emma didn't end there though, as it was quickly discovered that he was frequently called upon to help smuggle refugees to his older brother (John Proudstar) who was himself the First Step on the long and secret underground railroad leading beyond the reach of Apocalypse. When Emma was taken down by her sister, Warpath fled the Academy... It was four days before the Summers boys and some of their cronies caught up to James. They’d even brought his own teammates, the Hellions. Clearly they were intent on bringing him back dead or alive. Had it not been for the fortuitous intervention of Sabertooth and some of his X-Buddies, James would surely have been captured (or killed). At the battles conclusion, Sabertooth informed James he still wanted his rematch… but he had more important things to take care of at the moment. Then they all vanished in a burst of pink energy. One blink of his eyes, and they were gone. James was on his own. Again.

A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away... a user name Dhark and a user named Dorkknight began talking about a small little concept called Heirsverse. Dhark left MURPG before it became a reality, but that reality flurished. Now, DK has a spin-off/reboot-esque version called Generation NeXt. Guess who was first in line (at least in his imagination, if not date/time stamp)?! Yep. Dhark, with the concept of pitch of "...illegitimage child of Alex Summers and Lorna Dane, an aspiring young Magnetokinetic living in the shadow of uncertain heritage with most assuming the worst." And so, Dane Z. Williams was created... the mutant who will also be known as Lodestone! CODENAME: Lodestone NAME: Dane Z. Mutant 03 Yep, he's a mutant!
Uncertain Heritage 02 Orphan. The illegitimate son of Lorna Dane and Alex Summers, however this is not known... as such his mutagenic manifestation leads many to suspect he is a scion of Magneto.
Unknown Chronic Condition 02 Like his father, Lodestone has begun to absorb ambient radiation (of the Electromagnetic variety, as opposed to Cosmic) which will eventually kill him if left un-discovered/un-checked. Increasing use of his power has thus far stymied any obvious side effects (minus the occasional migrain and attached emotional anger issues)... however should he begin to absorb more than his body can store/channel said side effects may drastically increase. For the moment, only the release of distinctively dangerous EMP has been discovered when Dane uses his powers, a factor mitigated by a full body suit designed to assist Dane in controling his abilities to a finer degree.
Psychological Condition - Reckless 01 Again, much like his father, Lodestone has a bit of a reckless streak and Devil-May-Care attitude.
Psychological Condition - Survivors Guilt 02 With his newfound abilities, Lodestone inadvertantly contributed to the death of his 'Parents'. He hadn't known what he could do, let alone that he was anything more than normal... and yet, here he is. Alive. They're not.
=============== BACKGROUND ===============The paperwork for Dane's adoption was processed months before his birth, and from the instant the infant was welcomed into his new home he was a Williams. No ties, hints, or clues were given to the identity of his true parents. Dane was never lied to or fooled; His adoptive parents were always loving, open, and honest with him. They never knew the identity of his birth parents, nor cared to learn of it. They had a son, and that was all that was important. Dane's adoptive parents were pretty well off, so he's lead a fairly privelaged life to date. He was popular at school, and had what appeared to be a perfect life. A pefect life, until he was sixteen that is. It was during a typical pre-license driving session with his parents that his mutation first manifested. In panic over a car running a red light and nearly side-swiping him, Dane magnetokinetically lifted his own car into the air. In a panic, he lost control and it hurtled towards a parked tractor trailer. The cars electronics were rendered inert from the electromagnetic disruptions caused by the use of Dane's powers... and when his car collided with the much larger 18 wheeler, no airbags deployed as a result. Dane and his mother were rushed to the hospital, his father was declared dead on scene. Hours later, Dane was wheeled in to visit his mother who was still in critical condition. The two spoke for less than an hour before she died. Her last words were loving, and contained no blame or malice. Three days later, an alumni of the Xavier Institute arrived and approached young Dane... offering him a position at the school. Faced with an Orphanage, the legal mess of declaring himself an emancipated minor, or some other unimaginable options, Dane accepted the offer and travled to the Institute. There he hoped to learn more about his Mutant Power, and maybe about himself. After all, if he were a mutant~ odds were his Birth Parents had been as well. At the institute, Dane has blended in for the most part. More so with the less-popular crowd that is more accepting of him in spite of his Magnetokinetic potential... though he's caught the eye of more than one daring or rebelious girl from the more socially elite. His friends have nicknamed him Lodestone. One of his professors ridiculed him for not living up to the leadership potential his namesake indicated (a comment some took to mean Magneto, others the mineral's actual historical meaning, one or two more mutant-history-knowledgeable might even suspect something else entirely based on the name Dane). More than a few of the kids, who grew up with the stories of the infamous Magneto, fear and/or openly-dislike Dane as they assume he must be a relation of some sort. That he was an orphan, and completely off the grid only fuels such speculation. Until proven otherwise, Dane can but live in the possibility of such a shadow. He realizes that his fate is his own, and yet cannot dismiss the similarities in personality between himself and the once-terrorist/anti-hero/villain. He's even had dreams of holding the infamous helmet in his hands... though these are dreams he's kept under wraps. Charismatic, powerful, and headstrong. Perhaps if he green hair, some might draw correlation to his actual lineage... but few remain who would recognize an amalgam of the pair who vanished so long ago (let alone suspect they might have had a child, much less put him up for adoption). Those few who knew Alex or Lorna would maybe feel a small nagging feeling of familiarity... but be unable to put a finger upon it. ======================== SOCIAL CLASSIFICATION ======================== POPULAR ["The New Guy"] Dane has always been part of the in crowd, and being amongst the newest of students at Xaviers hasn't changed that. Good looking, reasonably intelligent, and holding an aura of mystery/danger (as both the 'New Kid' and being a Magnetokinetic) has drawn the interest of a great many fellow students. Everyone knows who Dane is, and it's a mixed bag of motivations for the many people in his orbit (genuinely liking the guy, fear, trepedition, indecision, lemming... the list goes on. Even the people who outright distrust and fear him tend to walk softly around him). It's a fine line he's walking, being thrust into such a spotlight on the cusp of discovering his Magnetokinesis AND having lost his parents... even the faculty is likely to keep a wary eye on young Dane. =========================== RELATIONSHIPS =========================== Christian Summers: He might not understand the magnetic vibe between them, but he cannot deny it either. Christian sees great potential in trying to 'win' the impressionable new kid over to his 'club'. He firmly believes that Dane is likely the heir of Magneto himself... and can't help but imagine ways to use a friendship with Dane to his every advantage. Even if he's not REALLY the heir, the power of belief is more than sufficient that he could fill the role sufficiently and reap all the benefits therein. That he's already established as 'Cool' and clearly comes from a well-off upbringing only makes the idea of collecting Dane into his 'Club' all the more appealing. Of course, should a rivalry erupt... or worse, friendship with Dane become a liability, Christian no doubt has already decided on any potential course of action that would need taken. Kimiko seems to approve of the notion as well, feeling that perhaps a woman in his life would help cement the duo's hold on Dane (Though she's not certain whom from her flock would be well suited, or willing given the fear that many of them have for Dane's potential... the 'Greedy' ones are already taken, or not trusted enough to be allowed near such a potent 'pawn'. Dane hasn't been around long enough to see the darker side of the pair, or their 'Club' yet... but appreciates that the 'Power Couple' has taken such a keen interest in him and has extended the branch of friendship. Christian reminds Dane of his clique back at his old school, or like a brother he never had... though he cannot for the life of him explain any basis for the second notion. The Madrox Multiples: Danes first friend, or rather friends, made at Xaviers were the Madrox Multiples... The Trio, or rather Gestalt, were charged with giving Dane his first tour of the Institutes grounds. Apparently his reactions, and commentary, sparked common ground with each of the three personalities (who in a rare show of unanimous agreement have decided they rather like the new guy). Dane has surprisingly been able to tell them apart, no matter how many times they've tried to pull a fast one on him~ Which seems to make him even more likeable. Dane's favorite thing about the Multiples is their sense of Family. An invisible bond, intangible but undeniable, that reminds him of the family he no longer has. Being around the trio just gives Dane that "feeling" of being in a happy-family's house. Even if they're not his family, he almost feels like they could be. Bea Wilson: Dane was never a jock per say by choice, but he likely could have been so inclined. Shooting Mind-less Free Throws on the Basketball Court at night, helping his mom teach a Gymnastics Class, and a member of his old schools Archery Club (because it was the popular club to be in) are the closest he'd ever come to sports. Until a year ago. On a whim, he enrolled in a Kung Fu school. His eyes were opened to a new world of interest. He was barely above novice level when Tragedy turned his life upside down and sent him to Xaviers... but each night after sunset he likes to sneak out into the surrounding woods and practice the few Forms he managed to learn before transfering. One such night was witnessed by Bea Wilson... who was absolutely stoked to find a new Martial Arts enthusiast amongst her fellow students! Dane finds Bea to be down right peculiar... but in a good/curious way. He's come to thoroughly enjoy their training sessions (as she's way more advanced than he is), and even her company. Not, in like, a romantic way. She's way too hyper and odd for that. At least, he tells himself as much. Right? Strangely, Bea has never even so much as acknowledged Danes existance during classes or in front of other people. Their friendship is a closetted one, and both seem content to let it be their little secret. Dane's never mentioned to anyone their late night sessions... and if Bea has, she's never mentioned it. ========================= CLASS ADVISOR ========================= Dr. Henry McCoy Classes: Chemistry, Biology, Physics, English Literature Clubs and Activities: Science Club, Mathaletes McCoy was chosen specifically by the Headmaster to be Dane's Advisor. He's been charged with keeping a wary eye on the youth, more so than average, in addition to the typical Class Advisor sort of activity. The Headmaster suspects that even if Dane is not Magneto's offspring, he holds the potential to follow in very dangerous footsteps. However, in sense of fairness... is giving him the opportunity to prove him wrong. McCoy strongly suspects the truth of Dane's origins, but has kept his suspicions to himself and Bobby alone. Bobby's explosive reaction to the possibility, and subsequent negative attitude towards Dane has made McCoy leary about sharing his suspicions with anyone regarding the boy without proof. Even after all of these years. the scars left by Lorna and Alex before their collective disappearance were still tender. ============================= TRAINING OPTIONS VIA CLASS ADVISOR ============================= Dane: Training with Dr. McCoy ”Mr. Williams, I hope you’re prepared for this upcoming exam, I assure you it will be more taxing than that Studebaker I just left on the grounds. Carry it, and see if you can recite all the Lanthanides and Actinides for me. Maybe then we’ll do the Magnetic and Diamagnetic Metals…”* ”Scientia Potentia Est”: Dr. McCoy may not be a magnetokinetic, but he knows a thing or two about applications of magnetic force. Dane may purchase General Knowledge at half the cost, improving it from AN 1 to 2 for only 10 LOE. He may acquire specialties like “Physics,” “Geophysics,” “Magnetic Physics,” etc. May also purchase the option “can combine with Mastery of Magnetism” for only 10 LOE. Such stones, keep in mind, can affect Resistance but not increase the effective AN of the action for dealing with Difficulty. Max AN is 5. * ”Vivere Est Cogitare”: Dane is a bright kid, and with McCoy refining his mind, he can be even more brilliant. Dane may improve his Intelligence to 4 for only 6 LOE. Improving it to 5 and 6 would require 11 LOE, as normal. * ”Usus Est Magister Optimus”: Practice Makes Perfect, and McCoy can at least supervise Dane as he practices lifting heavier and heavier objects. Dane may improve the AN of his Mastery of Magnetism (but not purchase any options) for just 5 LOE, until he reaches AN 6 (the heaviest objects McCoy could drag over for him to use.) * ”Scientia Ac Labore”: Dr. McCoy always has some device sitting around, and Dane could always learn its inner workings. Dane may purchase Technology and improve it to AN 2 for only 10 LOE. Max AN is 6.

... AND COMING SOON... 313-Verse CADS. Accepted or not (though I hope one or two will be) I'm going to post the better ones here.
Well, the 313 X-Men CAD is classified. So we'll call this post a Place-Holder until he's revealed later in the game.
Boom. 313 Time.
Alex Summers. The polar opposite of his brother Scott, a quintessential Troubled Teen through and through.
Called reckless, wild, and self-destructive; More than one orphanage has written this troubled youth off. Some attributed his bad attitude and anger issues to seperation from his brother (from whom he was seperated early on), some from just being an orphan, while most just claim he's a bad seed.
Through his various stints in the public school system, Alex has established a bad reputation at pretty much every school he's ever attended ~ Quickly identified as a bully, and always a magnet for trouble. Rarely does it end up in the paperwork that most of his fights generally start in his defense of an underdog... and he's never one to bother explaining himself in the aftermath. Alex learned long ago that no one really cared enough to ask, so he's never learned to care enough to try and explain.
Quick to anger, slow to trust. Those were the words even the Professor used to describe Alex in their first meeting. The conversation wasn't a smooth one, and even the patient Professor was hard pressed to push through the teen-angst and try to communicate to him that he was special... and not in a bad way. In a way that few living being could understand, and fewer still would tolerate should they ever find out. The Professor tried to educate Alex about his anger issues, and how they could have potentiall destructive consequences given his genetics... as had been made all to clear in his recent explosion that had leveled the school gymnasium (and injured four of his classmates). Alex was lucky no one had died, and even he realized how bad that would have been.
Facing another expulsion, and a potential year in Juvie, Alex took off. Mall-bound for lack of anywhere else to go...
opted to take the 'whacky' Professor up on his offer. When he discovered Scott was at the school (IF HE EVER WAS/IS - EASY ENOUGH TO DROP), Alex immediately dismissed the Professors 'Special' speech as a bunch of lies and special treatment because of his brother... A brother he inexplicably resented, and apparently had nothing in common with at all. Further, being cookie-cutter-shaped into a labled 'good-life' has caused Alex to steam even more.
A bag of instability and anger that will prove nothing short of difficult for the Schools Instructors and Mentors to help the troubled young man work through... The Professor can see the 'Good Heart' within Alex, buried in the rage and angst. Patience and Hard Work will help mold him to the right path. Or so the Professor says...

Chronic Condition 03W No one knows it yet, but the Ambient Cosmic Energy absorbed by Alex's physiology is slowly killing him! Recent venting of his powers has likely provided a stymie to this... but undiscovered, and unimpeded he will eventually succumb to radiation poisoning and potentially die (possibly in a radioactive burst that could take others with him).

CHALLENGES
Dark Past 03 When his younger brother was posessed by a demon, and subsequently died during the exorcism Stephen's parents dedicated their lives to hunting monsters and the things most people just didn't believe in. They had young Stephen along with them one their bloody and dark crusade until he turned 16. In Highschool, and then college, Stepehen's attempt to leave the 'Family Business' behind and embrace a life of normalcy failed due to more supernatural encounters. He has since embraced his lot in life: A protector of the innocent, and fighter of the evils that plague the world.
Haunted Past/ Survivors Guilt 03 Stephens younger brother Tommy was possessed by a demon, and subsequently died when the local priest enacted an exorcism at his parents behest. During college, a cult of misguided students summoned a demon; All to late Stephen found out, and confronted the demon, but failed to save the students... the ensuing fire was sufficient to ruin Stephens academic future and catapult him back into the Family Business. Added to this, a laundry list of people that have died over the years despite the hundreds saved.
Deadly Enemies 05 Stephen has sent more than one powerful Demon back to hell over the years, and more than most would love a chance to return that favor. Other survivors and escapees (Vampire, Werewolf, Shapeshifter, or myraid other flavors of predators) would also like a chance to get even with Stephen.
Psychological - CtSUFtU 02 Stephen has been fighting for the innocent, the naive, and the downright ignorant humans since he was a pre-teen... working to protect them from the Nasties that roam the world uninhibited. This has taken on a new facet lately, as he's even been fighting 'mundane' evils of non-supernatural origin.
Psychological - Inhibitions 01 Despite the potential of using Summoning magicks, Stephen has a strong aversion to them. The idea of fighting Fire with Fire is one thing... but literally inviting critters from beyond into the world to help fight other such things? No thanks. It's a fine gray line between Summoning and Invoking sure enough, and it's a line he treads only in the most extreme of situations. Nothing comes without a price. He knows this all too well.
Psychological - Code of Honor Stephen's got a pretty strict moral code, though few would believe it. Well, perhaps it's more a set of guidelines than a code per say... but it's still all he's got.
Stephen Strange, self proclaimed Sorcerer (and the only man listed in the yellow pages under the word Sorcerer) and Private Investigator. An enigmatic, and decidedly curious take on a hero. For being labeled as a "Human of Significant Interest", Stephen holds a rather thick file on record at SHIELD HQ. According to said docket: Stephen was born and raised to a well off family in 1981 - Philadelphia, PA. His father was a prominent neural surgeon, and his mother a Psychiatrist. His younger brother died in a 'mysterious' accident when Stephen was 12, which proceeded to cause his parents to fade into obscurity and all but vanish off the radar. Reportedly, Stephen traveled the country with his parents... being Home schooled as they wandered/vacationed/road-tripped. At the age of 16, Stephen moved to Baltimore and lived with his Uncle. There, Stephen was enrolled back into the Public School System and was given a shot at normalcy. Despite the tumultuous youth, Stephen was a straight A student; He earned a full scholarship to the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor) for Pre-Med... and was poised to proceed on to Johns Hopkins and follow in his Fathers once prestigious footsteps. That was before allegations were levied that he was responsible for arson on campus. A fire directly responsible for the death of seventeen students, and significant loss of property (in that the building destroyed had been the Campus Library). Investigations indicated his indirect involvement at the very least, which proved sufficient to block his full ride to Medical School... and effectively quelling any hopes he held toward a life of normalcy. SHIELD's own investigations, launched years later, found far more disturbing accounts. Whispered rumors of demonic involvement, and even manifestations of said evils on campus... all consistently held in check by a young Stephen Strange who moonlighted as a mystic vigilante of sorts. Always showing up at just the right time, with just the right knowledge to help. Salt Circles here, Solomonic-inspired Demon Traps there... real-deal exorcisms. All a mish-mash of absurdity to the local PD, but taken with a little more seriousness by the more experienced SHIELD investigators. The last person Stephen spoke to when he left college was his then-girlfriend Clea Amaranth. According to her, he left to pursue his "Family Business" which struck her as odd; He'd always said his dad was a high profile surgeon... Precisely how or where it was that Stephen learned his sorcerous skills is not currently on record. All that is certain is that he's been traveling the country for some time... combating Urban Mythos, Hauntings, and Evil the sort of which inspires nightmares. Among such circles, he's become a recognized expert on the Occult and such matters... though has been known to occasionally stick his nose into mundane-mortal concerns on occasion as well. Bank robberies, Natural Disasters, and even once or twice assisting 'costumed' heroes combat menaces that could only be described as horrific. Supposedly, he was even consulted to assist in verifying Thor by SHIELD when he first appeared (in whatever fashion that took). Now, on the cusp of his 30th birthday... he's been ear-marked as an ideal candidate for the Avengers. How or why, only Nick Fury is likely to know.

======================================================================
Frankensteined Memories 03 Clint, or rather Lester's, memories are a hazy mess that's difficult to sort through at times (Due to the Technological Imprint and the Psychic Reinforcements/Alterations). Anything beyond two years ago (memory-wise) is difficult to pull specific details from, as that is where memories were most heavily modified (everything since then is fresh and unaltered). Childhood memories are the vaguest, and largest mish-mash. Highschool is only sleightly better, and college he blames too much drinking for. His Military experience, and subsequent induction into SHIELD has been labled as PTSD inhibited...
A New Secret Identity 03 Lester was once the notorious, and exceptionally psychotic, assassin called Bullseye. He's made more than his fair share of enemies (Heroes, Innocents, Criminals, and even other Villains). Were the secret of his whereabouts ever leaked, especially given the memory blocks, things could get dicey for the 'reformed' assassin... Not all heroes are likely to stop, or care, that he doesn't know who or what he once was anymore. Villains and criminals wouldn't care one way or another...
Loose Cannon 03 Clint may have been a top notch SHIELD operative, but he also had a bit of a reputation as a Loose Cannon... a true Maverick in the 80's cop sense of the word. This facet of his personality seems to have grown when combined with the latent pieces of Lester's own solo-centric ways... Further, he seems to feel less sympathy for enemies and seems prone to excessive violence at times (IE doesn't acknowledge the traditional 'Escalation of Force' procedures~ He'll pull a gun on an unarmed enemy with no hesitations.
Nannite Memory Inhibitors 01 In addition to the Psychic Tweaking, and Memory Imprinting, SHIELD recently implanted experimental Memory Inhibitor Nannites (created by VDT). SHIELD believes these devices copy and continually reapply the base Imprint created from the amalgam of memories. In reality, someone at VDT (or perhaps behind even higher) re-engineered the Nannites to begin retrieving Original Memories from the recesses of Hawkeyes mind and storing them for future use.
Project REHAB has gone through many phases. SHIELD recognizes it's shortage on trustable 'Enhanced' Agents, especially given it's knowledge of what is soon to come (with the increase in Supers, Villains, and even Mutants). To that end, a recent contract with Von Doom Technologies has depeloved new technologies that can be utilized to Rehabilitate Deviants and Criminals of the 'More-Than-Human'. The most recent application of this was Project Hawkeye. Project Hawkeye involved an amalgation of two seemingly polar opposites. The comatose Cold War veteran Agent known as Clint Barton, and the psychotic killer known as Bullseye (recently remanded to SHIELD custody in NYC). Using cutting edge Imprint Technology, combined with Psychic tweaks, and experimental Nannite Memory Inhibitors, SHIELD was able to overwrite Bullseye's personality and memories with an amalgam of his own life with that of Clint Bartons. Clint Barton was a paragon of men. Raised in the lap of luxuary, he still pushed himself to his limits every day. Very competitive, he was an Olympic gold medalist in archery his senior year in high school and graduated with honors from university before going on to SHIELD operative training. Through the tail end of the Cold War, Barton was amongst SHIELDS top agents in the field. Morally upstanding, and always one to be counted upon (despite his penchance for lone wolf heroics and over the top heroics). Bullseye was raised by an abusive father, and watched the man kill himself shortly after beating his morther to death. A list of orphanages and public schools failed to help the troubled youth, who turned to a life of crime... his own ability to seemingly never miss was an unquestioned asset; First in earning money (hustling dart tournaments and the like), and then moving on to assassination. A rivalry with the recently surfaced hero Daredevil inspired him to adopt a mask... and to even greater lengths of evil. Somehow, the chemisty and biology between the two were an instant match in the database... Now Clint Barton lives again. Sort of. The Merge isn't perfect, but the best parts of Clint seem to have pervailed in creating precisely the sort of man the "Avengers" could use on their roster...

Dark Past
Dhark inherited everything he owns, both posessions and knowledge, from his father (a world reknowned Astral-Runner). As such, it seemed perfectly natural for the young rascal to follow in the footsteps of his patron. For much of his early teens, he fell in with his dads old crowd... A veritable coorperate pirate, stealing anything and everything for the right price. Eventually even those thrill began to lose their luster, and Dhark opted out of the crew and chose to go his own way... a decision some of his once-colleagues weren't too fond of. Ever the reckless adrenaline junkie, he needed more than the lifestyle was offering. For the past three years, he's been making a different name for himself. A freelance Astral Runner, and sometimes Hero... he's slowly becoming a man beyond the shadow of his dead father

Inhuman Appearance 03 Looks like a Blue Demon, as depicted in the Bible itself!
Champions the Underdog 01 On his path to redemption, Kyurtus has taken to championing the underdog on numerous occasions
Indigo Kyurtus Dharkholme was born amidst a roaving Clan of Gypsies in southern Germany. Shocked at the appearance of the infant, the tribe fell to infighting on precisely what to do with young Indigo. Amidst the schism, his mother took the child and ran into the night... fleeing west towards her own homelands. She feared both suggestions for her son (One being death, the other being to raise him as a weapon). Shortly after entering the mountains to the South East, she was approached by a strange man. He claimed to have visions of the future... and that it was his destiny to raise the Blue Heir of Dharkholme as writ in the stars. How the man came to convince the mother to give up her son is unknown. The man's name was Blaque, and he was the last of the once mighty Hashshashin still alive on earth. The vision he followed indicated that this strange child would be a 'Chosen' vessel, capable of bringing the once mighty order back into prominence... Raised from infancy for such a task, the evolution of his powers made the vision seem all the more likely to unfold... However, after his first kill the being called Nightcrawler by his master found he had no taste for the kill. Upon trying to explain this, Blaque attempted to slay his traitorous protege.... but was unable to catch him before he fled into the night~ Running/Teleporting for his very life.

It was the mid 80's, and the Big Three (Stark Industries, Stane Armories, and Von Doom Technologies) were the recognized leaders of all things technological. With VDT's securing of the title in the Space Race it seemed the company could do no wrong. The trademarked logo was springing up everywhere, and it's name was the talk of the world. That was, until it's founder and CEO, Victor Von Doom went public-ish as a 'Super-Villain'. The CEO's reputation, and constant media exposure caused the TechnoCorp VDT's stocks to drop drastically... Corporate Pirates began to circle like Vultures, and only the fear of reprisal from Doom himself caused them to hesitate. One such mogul was different. Perhaps it was his young age, or his Latverian heritage, or perhaps it was just pure greed... none can say for sure, and the question was avoided deftly in subsequent television interviews. All the world knew, as that on April 1st... Kristoff Vernard, at age 20, became the new CEO of one of the worlds largest and most successful TechnoCorps. The battle was a long, and uphill struggle, but Kristoff worked tirelessly to restore the good name and the faith of the stockholders. He turned the companies focus into technologies that would benefit man on a daily basis~ Shifting from Space and Sub-light Travel to one of Computer Circuitry and Defense Technologies. In 1990, the final ties to Latveria were severed when Kristoff moved the VDT Home Office to NYC. Stocks soared to an all time high, but could not overtake the leaps and bounds StarkTech had sprung. Especially in light of the rivals CEO Tony Stark… and his headline-stealing new head of security~ Iron Man. In the early 90's VDT came close to overtaking SI once more, but an untimely (and publicized) conflict between Doctor Doom and Iron Man was exploited by Tony Stark at a Press Conference... again leaving Stark Industries seemingly untouchable by even its closest rival. Kristoff was at a loss. Despite being ahead of Stark in actual Technology... his companies PR was consistently inferior due to the Legacy of Doom. It was then that inspiration struck. They needed a Heroic Icon. But not just any hero, or fool in a costume. VDT needed a Hero with a story. A Hero that had overcome his personal evils... a Hero that could be seen climbing from the darkness, and into the light. Courtesy of VDT. With the support, and belief of VDT. It was then that he recalled an e-mail. An encrypted message from the unnamed Director of an organization called SHIELD. The e-mail talked of an artifact unearthed towards the end of WWII. An ancient Hammer, comprised of an unidentified metal. Emanating strange radiations, and seemingly impossible to life by any means known to man. Kristoff dug the e-mail out of his archives… and responded. In the years that had passed, a lab had been built around the strange weapon. Tests had long since been abandoned, and so when Kristoff took over the facility it needed serious upgrades. With some of the most notable scientists in the world working under him, Kristoff came up with a strange theory. An interface device that would allow a cybernetic exo-skeleton to draw power from the hammer’s strange radiation… effectively using the hammer to lift itself. Of course it was just an idea (Kristoff was at his heart, more an idea man than an implementation man). It took over a year, but in the end~ It worked. Next up, Kristoff had his engineers design a suit of armor, similar in design to Iron Man and Doom’s respective suits… but drawing from Norse Mythologies in it’s styling. The end result? A Thor Suit. The new face of VDT. Kristoff realized it wouldn’t be enough though. They’d just be seen as copy-cat’s to Stark’s savy genius. He needed something bigger. Something more than just one man… what he needed was an army. No, a team. Yes. A Team of Heroes. Working for the Greater Good. Defending Freedom and the ‘American’ Way. A team founded funded by VDT. A Team that would serve the people. A Team Stark would never in his life willingly join, because Kristoff would be it’s leader. Such a public decision would hit his PR very hard. He’d be seen as devoted only to the interests of Stark Industries after all. The plan was formed, and so was… The Avengers! CHALLENGES Total (20)
Conflicting Interests 05 CEO of VDT, Leader of the Avengers, Adopted son of Doom
Haunted Past 03 Before Doom's plummet into Villainy, Kristoff was being raised to be his heir. As such all sorts of Machiavelian Dogma was crammed into his upbringing.
Deadly Enemies 05 As CEO of VDT, Kristoff has plenty of VERY wealth enemies (IE Tony Stark, Stane Armories, etc). As Thor, he is on his way to making even more...
Extreme Vanity 02 Unlike Tony Stark, Kristoff has publicly owned up to his heroic-identity and embraced the life... enjoying the PR spin it's given VDT.
Psychological [Envious] 03 Kristoff realizes his Hardware pales in comparison to Iron Man and Doom, and he envies their cutting edge tech that his Engineers are still working to duplicate or one-up. Given the opportunity, he would not be above theft/espionage of said individuals' tech
Vulnerable Loved Ones 02 Birth mother is still a resident of Latveria, and in love with Doom despite his indifference
