LUKE CAGE: a child of the streets... DANIEL RAND: a son of the mystic city of K'un-Lun... Two men from different worlds--both reborn with strength and power beyond belief! And together, no one can stop them! Andyman Presents: POWERMAN and IRON FIST [/b] MEMBERS OF THE WEDDING![/center] When the Heroes For Hire captured a gang of chemical hijackers, they figured it would be easy to track down their bosses. All they had to do was convince a group of hardended, street-tough habitual criminals to talk. Now if Luke and Danny can borrow these creeps' records and call the boys in blue, this is one case they can close the file on. Easy? "Marco! Tony! Don't just stand there! Stop them!"At the bosses' command, seven men pull out revolvers and aim them at Power Man and Iron Fist! Iron Fist's Health: 3/3 Iron Fist's Energy: 9/9

Luke immediately ran towards the lowlifes and started to take them out one by one. Hopefully all of their attention will be set on him and not on the more... fragile Dani. While Power Man was beating the living day lights out of the unfortunate suckers he yelled out at the man known as Iron Fist. "I got these fools! You just go find out what we need to know!" ------------------------------------------------------------------------- H:4 E:12
Action 1:10 into close combat split into this; 2/2/2/1/1/1/1 Hopefully this will knock all of them out. Action 2:None
Attack:Split stones against all seven of those gun totting losers! Defense:5 from Toughness (OOC:Hopefully this is something that Cage would say. I definitely know that the actions are what he would do!) Edit:Made a mistake in splitting stones. Used far more than I had.

Danny laughed a bit at Luke's rampage. He wasn't about to leave his partner to these guys, at least not until he was sure Power Man had it handled, so he made his own way into the room, delivering a spinning kick to one of the men.
"Master of Martial Arts, former Champion of K'un-L'lun, remember big man?"

[Note: There is a thread called Arts and Leisure in this Daily Bugle forum that defines what stats are Normal for this particular game. Durability 2 is Normal, so it'll at least 4 stones to knock out a normal person in a single Panel.]
Power Man charges in swinging. None of the men go down, but that's okay. These boys can blast at Luke 'til doomsday, an' it won't do more'n annoy him.
Meanwhile...
"Cage is the one with the steel-hard muscles," a bald man tells Daniel Rand, "not you punk!"
"We can take you out like nobody's business!" claims a second. Perhaps if he had spent ten years in the Mystic City of K'un-Lun, studying martial arts as Danny has -- he might have been able to make good on his threat. Instead, Iron Fist dodges baldy and takes out the second guy like nobody's business.
"You won't take me!" the boss shouts from behind his desk. "My wife and kids -- they think I'm just a successful lawyer! They mustn't find out... You can't take me! I've got to escape!!" The boss now pulls out a gun from inside his suit jacket.

OOC:Dang it! I should of known this system was different than the one at home! Aw well.
Luke was waiting for them all to go down but saw that wasn't the case. "I guess I shouldn't have held back on these low lives..." the man known to the world as Power Man thought before picking up a random thug. "Like these idiots said, you don't have my kind of muscles. After you can deflect bullets like nobody's business, then I will reconsider trying to take all of the hits." Luke shouted out to Iron Fist. He looked at Mr. Boss man himself. "As for you..." He then threw his unfortunate victim at the man who should have become what his family thought he was. "Don't forget to take out the trash before you leave!" Hopefully this would knock out both of them. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Health:4 Starting Energy:6 Action 1:6 into strength, 2 to pick up some random thug, 4 to throw at the boss so I can knock some sense into him later and get what I want. Action 2:I don't have enough energy to do anything else even if I want to. Like say finish what I started last panel...
Offense:4 strength(I hope. I think this should apply to the weap mod.) plus bonus for the person who should have called in sick? Defense:5 toughness

Danny shrugged.
Your call. Try not to rough them up too badly, I know how you get when you're having fun.
It seemed like Luke had things well in hand, so it was time to go look for what they came for. He knew that he could dodge these clowns gunfire all day, but Luke was right about one thing; that wasn't the efficient way to handle this, and after his screw up in their last mission, maybe he was better off letting Luke make the decisions.
He took a look around, trying to discern where the papers might be kept.

OOC:Short post because I decided that Luke isn't gonna do anything fancy right now.
Power Man is starting to get tired. There a lot of guys still standing and that means a possiblity of them disrupting Iron Fist's search for the records. So all he can do for now is knock some dummies down and try to reserve some energy. With that decision made, he sock a guy in the face, kneed a man in the guts, and push a third into a wall. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ H:4 Starting Energy:4/12
Action 1:3 into close combat split into 1 for three thugs and do what I described. Action 2:None so I can get back some sweet energy!

Danny held back a second, collecting his thoughts (and his wind). Going for the desk right now might not be all that advisable anyway.

Now, only Marco and Tony remain standing. The two henchmen glance at eachother and then bolt for the doorway with the giant Power Man and Iron Fist shaped hole in the middle of it.

"You think we should go over after them? I personally think they aren't gonna be that much trouble especially after all we done. But you can go after them if you want." Power Man proposed to Iron Fist. "Did you find what we are looking for?" He then calmly walked to where the boss is and went to checked how he is doing. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- H:4 Starting Energy:5/12
Action 1:Checking to see if the leader of this group is concious or not. No stones put into this as I want to save them up for later if that is needed.

Them? Don't we usually practice 'catch and release' with the small ones anyway? Danny laughed at his own joke as he made his way over to the desk and started searching it for the documents.

"Erk!" the boss gasps when 300 pounds of muscle comes over to check on him. These creeps've been loose ends for too long, but now that Iron Fist has the files... bring on the victory celebration! Fortunately, Danny's got just the thing in mind. Luke calls his girlfriend Harmony and tells her to keep tomorrow open, because Daniel Rand wants them to meet him at the 79th Street Boat Basin! Oh, Christmas! What is Danny doing on that boat? It's a yacht. Iron Fist bought it. This ain't like him, but he is a multi-millionaire. If he wants to indulge a whim or two, and take his friends out for a cruise, why shouldn't he? He can afford it, after all. Colleen, Misty and Harmony are already there, so they're all set to go! Danny doesn't know the first thing about yachting, but that's the great thing about being rich-- he doesn't have to! He hired a crew! "Psst--Luke!" Colleen Wing whispers as Power Man climbs aboard. "Don't forget to tell Danny how much you like his sailor suit!"Iron Fist's Health: 3/3 Iron Fist's Energy: 8/9

Luke was surprised to see that his friend had bought himself a boat. And not some pathetic looking boat either. The man had bought himself a yacht! This was most certainly something out of the ordinary for ol' Danny. But hey, the man is rich. If he wanted to spend his money, who is Cage to judge? When Collen mentioned Danny wearing a sailor suit, Luke went looking for the man right away. This was something he had to see. Was stopping a couple of chem hijackers worth all of this?

Danny was relaxing when his friends arrived, or trying to anyway. He was comfortable with wealth, but he wasn't comfortable with his friends and his wealth colliding. It was one thing that they knew he had money. It was another thing to risk making them feel like he was throwing it in their faces. At least he knew he could rely on Luke to take a few cheap shots, but ultimately accept him no matter what.
Welcome aboard!
