Nightcrawler hangs back for now, waiting for direction from Storm. If she wants him to scout ahead, he can try to do that, or whatever else the team has in mind.

Storm whispered to Nightcrawler, "See if you can scout ahead. Just be careful, please." There was no reason for the entire team to rush into danger if it wasn't neccesary.

Wolverine shakes his head.
"IF we time it right, we can catch them by surprise be out of here before they know what is going on."
Wolverine kneels down and sniffs the air.
"We should wait until blue gets back"

Nighcrawler discovers the White Queen lying on a catafalque! After the X-Men encountered Mastermind, Professor Xavier learned that Ms. Frost had been one of his first victims. He must have created the worst illusion to put her in such a state. Kurt knows she's a villain--a leader of the Hellfire Club--but isn't there anything the X-Men can do? "Well, we could always put her out of her misery?" Wolverine asks. Sorry, only Nightcrawler sees Emma Frost. The rest of you decided to "wait until blue gets back", as Wolverine put it.

Nightcrawler looks in shock and horror at what he sees Emma Frost in such a state. He quickly teleports back to the rest of the team and tells them what he saw, while advising him to come quickly.

"You may not trust me, Herr Shaw, but can you not trust your own eyes?!" Nightcrawler leaps after the escaping green and purple miscreant, poofing around, trying to keep him dazed, disoriented, and otherwise occupied long enough for the X-Men to take a shot at him.
======== I don't want Impossible Man to get away, so I'm going to try and slow him down by leaping around him, BAMFing repeatedly, to creating a Interference complication for him.

Wolverine growled before jumping towards with claws a blazed at the strange creature. "Not getting away that easy, bub!" By using the the whirlwind Storm caused, and the distraction Kurt made, Wolverine was able to catch up with no sweat! --------------- OOC: With the power of complications and assests Storm and Kurt made, I justify for how Wolverine was able to catch a flying foe! Also justifies for how I use them! Teamwork!

"Oh my!" says the green and purple rocket wearing a lady's cape and corset, as Wolverine springs at him with his adamantium claws. THE THING THAT TOOK THE MANSION SOLO [dice=10] HARMLESS [dice=4] Add D6 to Doom Pool FLIGHT [dice=10] Total = 8 with a D10 effect die. Wolverine would cause physical trauma, but... THE THING THAT TOOK THE MANSION has SFX: Invulnerable. I spend that new D6 added to the doom pool and the physical trauma is ignored. Wolverine is not the only one upset about this. I spend another D6 to activate Storm's Emotional Tempest Limit. WHIRLWIND D12 is now a COMPLICATION! SEBASTIAN SHAW's turn Shaw holds onto the WHITE QUEEN ON A CATAFALQUE to prevent himself and Emma from being lifted up by Storm's hurricane winds. This counts as a D8 ASSET for him called GROUNDED. ARIEL's turn "Hold tight, Lockheed!" Kitty calls to her pet dragon as the winds lift them both into the air. This gives ARIEL a D8 ASSET called HOLDING TIGHT. THE THING THAT TOOK THE MANSION's last turn of Page. The rocket blasts through the HIGH CEILING, destroying the distinction because it was in it's way, and then passes to itself to start a new order. THE THING THAT TOOK THE MANSION's first turn of a new order. The rocket flies away with SUPERSONIC FLIGHT, then passes to Storm. STORM's turn She gets a grip and removes her D12 complication, restoring her power. With the disappearance of THE THING THAT TOOK THE MANSION and the removal of the complication, and since Nightcrawler used diplomacy to prevent hostilities between Shaw and the X-Men, this ends the scene. For a clean break, I'll start the transition scene in the next post. [rand=54077244503423573091803109273314566291425423696647399690872989595]
