Captain Britain goes to Braddock Manor and fixes himself a stiff drink, before going down to the computer-lined "The Brit-Cave". The cavern is vast, flooded with an eerie submarine light. Stalactites of machinery crusted with circuitry drip from the ceiling. Twice this Mastermind tried to kill Brian, but Captain Britain reprogrammed the computer so it doesn't have a personality anymore. Unfortunately, one thing the computer isn't particularly good at is answering Captain Britain's queries. It knows nothing about the 'blue skinned aliens' or the current whereabouts of Hurricane. However, the computer does excel at security... ALERT! ALERT! ALERT! ALERT! ALERT!A sleek spacecraft, identical to the one that landed in London *, lands on the moor outside the house! [glow=red,15,1000]Captain Britain[/glow]
With a muttered curse, Captain Britain considers his secret identity, and with that in mind puts a shirt and tie with a comfortable pair of trousers (all from Harcourts of London, Gentlemans tailors since 1869). His boots, gloves and the mask he leaves behind the coat rack in the hallway ready to grab up and pull on.
To the computer he orders "Take all security measures needed to defend yourself should these 'aliens' seek to appropriate your technology!" then he moves to the front door and opens it, putting on a show of surprise and shock, all the while racking his brain and wondering if he's ever seen the like of this Spaceship before today.
Having already had one kicking, he's not wanting to rush into another straight away. Of course, if these aliens know he's Captain Britain, he'll be caught (almost) with his pants down. Without the helmet he can't fly or project the forcefield about him.
ACTIONS: Go out to 'greet' whomever is in the Alien ship, all the while looking surprised. If the aliens (or whoever) show knowledge of him being Captain Britain, he'll know the 'gig is up' and race back to the house to don mask, gloves and boots. A Gentlemen doesn't rush into battle half dressed, what?

A blue skinned (seemingly unarmed) humanoid steps from the craft and approaches Braddock Manor. When Brian greets him, the alien introduces himself as Kay-tell, Commander of the Kree Intelligence Special Squad. Kay-tell says that it is vitally important that he meet with Captain Britain. OOC you probably miss the reference but 'K-Tel' was a company which saturated TV with 'you can't buy this in shops' type offers for music compilations back in the 80s. Made me smile when I saw the name anyway...
Braddock smiled "Captain Britain? Well, I have had some contact with the fellow. He's had dealings with my family. Is there a message I can pass on to him, or perhaps get him to meet you somewhere? Ah, where are my manners. If you'd like to come inside, I'll get you a drink old chap."
OOC Assuming Kay-Tell comes inside
Braddock turns to his guest once in the drawing room and asks "Now, what's this all about? You can tell me what you want, but I'd rather your ... space ship or whatever it is make itself discreet. I'm pretty secluded out here but I'd rather the authorities didn't come poking about and asking questions as to why blue skinned alien spacecraft are parked on my lawn. Believe me, I'd like to help in any way I can, especially if it will shed some light on what happened in London this morning."

OOC: I never heard of K-Tel before. Thank you for the 80s trivia.
Kay-Tell gives Brian a message for Captain Britain to return to Braddock Manor. He remains outside to wait for Captain Britain to appear.

Once the Kree has left, Brian turns and addresses the 'house'.
"Computer. I'll need a convincing image of myself in uniform flying towards the house from the rear, coming in fast. Have it land out of sight, then a minute or so later have an image of myself as Brian Braddock standing in the front room looking out of the window looking at the spaceship. Holding a glass of whisky." he ordered. "Wait for the word before commencing."
Then he stripped off in another room and pulled on his uniform. He wasn't sure what was going on, or even if this person was who they said they were, but appearances must be kept up. His secret identity offered a measure of privacy from the press and authorities, but he wondered sometimes if he might be better served by revealing all, dealing with the immediate fallout, then getting on with his life.
He chuckled, then imagined this place under near constant attack from his enemies and wondered how people like the Fantastic Four in America dealt with being in the public eye.
With a shrug he pulled the mask on, then called out "Now" and counted quietly to 30 before adding "Image of Brian Braddock in the window... now" and he walked out of the front door in his Captain Britain uniform, gave a half wave/salute to 'himself' in the window and walked out to meet the Kree.
"Braddock contacted me. I've had good dealings with him before and trust him. I'm Captain Britain. Who are you, and how can I help you?"

I love your plan of Deception and am granting you 1 Hero Point for creativity. However, this plan calls for a Deception (Lying) Skill roll to determine success. (I should have required this after Brian said, "Captain Britain? Well, I have had some contact with the fellow." but didn't think of it.) From now on, any time your character tells a fib, acts misleading, or even if you want to convince cops and the media you are telling the truth, roll Deception.
For the sake of speed (and because this is my first BASH! game and I want to learn how it's played), I'll roll this for you this time.
Since Captain Britain's stats don't have the Deception skill, he has to Default with a Mind of 2 being reduced to a x1 multiplier.
[dice=6][dice=6] Wow! The doubles explode! (Now you are going to want me to roll for you all the time.) [dice=6] That's 10.
Kay-tell has to roll Deception (Detect Deception). He's no Phd, so his Mind is 1. But he does have the Deception Skill. Fortunately for you, he does not have Detect Deception as a Specialty.
[dice=6][dice=6]
Your ten beats that 9, so Kay-Tell believes that Captain Britain is not Brian Braddock.
Now on with the story!
"I am Kay-tell, Commander of the Kree Intelligence Special Squad. Although we of the Kree have decided to end the independence of your petty little planet, we have no desire to destroy all of the humans on Earth. There will be survivors. If you are intelligent, you can be one of them."
"We are not asking you to betray your fellow humans. In order to join those who will continue to live upon this planet under the domination of the Kree, all you have to do is to bring the warrior known as Captain Mar-vell to his place by this time tomorrow. Do not fail. I shall return at the appointed hour."
Kay-tell then turns and enters his ship.

[glow=red,15,1000] Captain Britain[/glow] OOC I'm fine with you rolling ALL the dice. Seriously, this board hates my dice rolling. It's official, and factual, and not paranoia on my part at all. Serious. Hate, I tell you. "Wait!" shouts Captain Britain. "I don't know this 'Captain Marvel' you speak about. Is he... an American? An Avenger? And if you think we'll lie down and let you steam roll over us, you'd better have another think coming!" he said, shaking his fist. "In fact... I think I'd better get some answers from you!" With that, Captain Britain soars through the air to grab Kay-Tel before he can shut the door (hopefully) and restrain him! ACTIONS: Cap doesn't want to hurt the guy - this meeting has gone peacefully so far. Only problem is, he can't just sit around whilst an alien invasion is supposedly about to take place! So with that in mind he'll fly over and grab the Kree if he can, dragging him out of the ship. If the guy goes for his gun, he'll try to disarm him without harming him. He wants to talk, and find out more about what this is all about!

[glow=red,15,1000]Captain Britain[/glow]
With a hand on Kay-Tells arm and with a finger pointed in Kay-Tells face, snarl on his own and spitting every word, Captain Britain tried to hold his anger back! "Listen mate! I'm not here to start a fight or an interplanetary incident, but let me get this straight. You come to MY country and threaten everyone on this planet and expect ME to be your lap dog and run off to get some fellow I've never heard of who's one of the Avengers to hand himself over to you? Seriously. Are you off your bloody rocker?"
He takes a deep breath, obviously battling inner turmoil, and holds up his free hand.
He unhands Kay-Tell with the other and offers an olive branch. Somewhat calmer, he holds both hands up now and takes a step back, less threatening.
"What say we start this conversation again, and you tell me what you know about the attack on Buckingham palace, Hurricane and what the hell is going on? What do you want with this... Captain Marvel? And why me? I 'm British, in Britain, he's in America. Oh, and I feel that the Avengers would have something to say about this. You'd like their response even less than you like mine."

"In addition to destroying Buckingham Palace, we of the Kree attacked five other major cities on your petty planet. You already tried to stop us, and you failed. Do not defy me again. Bring the Kree warrior known as Captain Mar-vell to this place by this time tomorrow. I shall return at the appointed hour." Kay-tell then disappears. The door to the spacecraft closes and it prepares to depart.

Aware of his own limitations - compared to his previous abilities Captain Britain was a powerhouse now... but a spacecraft was way beyond him he assumed, and so apparently were these aliens. He'd already been battered senseless by 'Hurricane' - if indeed that was who it was.
However, Kay-tells admission that the Kree were responsible for the attack on Buckingham Palace, and on other cities, blinded him to anything but an all encompassing rage!
"RaaaaRRRRRRRRAAAAARRRRGGGGHHHH!" he bellowed, and flew at the door that'd closed with all his might and strength, intending to break it down if possible and get at his enemy - whom he assumed Kay-Tell now to be!
ACTIONS:
If he can't stop Kay-Tell in time then try to disable the spacecraft by hammering away at it.

OOC Wrote out a reply then lost the lot when clicking send. D'oh.
Frustrated, angry, and somewhat disillusioned, Captain Britain goes back to the house, peels off the mask and pours himself a drink.
Sitting in front of a roaring fire, he considers the facts as best he knows, then recalls something.
"Computer! Holographic image. Library records subject Captain Mar-Vell." he calls out. The air shimmers in front of him to become a 2' square slab of light upon which are projected images and newspaper clippings. Swiping his finger down, Braddock scrolls through them to find what he's looking for, then stabs to pause the newsfeed.
Captain Mar-Vell died.
He was a kree, and a famous one at that. These people should then know of his demise, which meant one of two things as far as he could see.
1) They were somehow cut off from the Kree Empire and had come to retrieve Captain Mar-Vell
2) They weren't really Kree at all.
If it was the first option, why then attack Britain, when it was well known that Mar-Vell had been active in the US as a superhero for some years? If it was the second reason, why would they attack London and other cities, claiming to be from master race that intended to destroy the Earth? Unless they were from some third party which saw some benefit of war between Earth and the Kree?
Wondering if he was on the right track, he tried to contact Avengers mansion and tell them of what had gone on. Until such time as the Kree returned he was pretty much short on leads apart from the Avengers themselves. If it was an Alien invasion they, as Earths Mightiest heroes, needed to know. Brian Braddock thought otherwise though.
He glanced at the bottle, and the drink set on the polished side table next to the sumptuous leather chair he sat on. Making a decision, he stood, pulled on the hood and placed the mask back in place, then left instructions for the Computer to take any message from the Avengers or anyone else, and guard the house with a passive - but firm - resistance to intruders.
With that, he went out on patrol to clear his head, and find something to fight.
ACTIONS:
Feels like I'm on a hiding to nothing here, and can only wait for the Kree to turn up again. Cap will go out on patrol and check out some of the criminal contacts in the underworld he may have gathered, just to see if they know/have heard something.
