My real world name, you mean... Yes, yes I have. But to tell the truth, as my first name was given to me by my parents, I wanted the same to be the case with my new name. I wanted everything to be the way it would have been if things had been the way I wished from the very start, despite that chance to name myself you were talking about. ^_^ So I asked them how they would have called me had I been a girl. Their answer was "Jessie". And I liked it a lot. So there you go.

*Takes Manah's hand and kisses it.* A lovely name for a surely lovely future lady indeed.

I certainly hope so. By the way, yes, I named Jessie D. Hayes in your game after my new name. I've known and been using that name for quite a few months already. ^_^

Did you just get that PM when you posted that, or did you know I was going to ask that.

I got it, but to tell the truth, if I was going to make a CAD with my name, it'd be of me the way I wish I was, not an original character. But I don't really wish to play as myself, nor as myself as a girl, for the moment, lol. Maybe at some time in the future.

I thought it was only fair. It didn't seem right for me to take a name for myself, when the one I had gone with for 24 years was the one they had given me.

I might be a little late to the party but...
Wow, Manah! That is awesome and it is amazing that you had the courage to tell everyone. I support you a 100% and I have known people IRL that have gone through the same type of things you are going through and all of that.
I am just impressed with the amount of courage and strength you have. In true forum form;
+1 what everyone else has said

It took me years to build up that courage you speak of. I am a rather bashful and reserved person most of the time. However, this is something I had to do, so I guess it made it easier. ^_^

This might sound a little stupid, but I have to say it: That decision took some serious balls

After watching this for 2 minutes, I don't ever want to play as Captain America.

Look on the bright side, when it's all said and done you can be like Triumph the Insult comic dog, and say to anyone trying to intimidate you. "You don't scare me! the doctor already chopped my nads off!"
(Poor attempt at humor.)

This raises a question. If it "takes balls" to face fear... does chopping them off render you immune to fear, or afraid of everything?

This raises a question. If it "takes balls" to face fear... does chopping them off render you immune to fear, or afraid of everything? I defer to the wisdom of comedian Sheng Wang: "Why do people say "grow some balls"? Balls are weak and sensitive! If you really wanna get tough, grow a vagina. Those things take a pounding."~TWF
