Still don't feel like testing the theory, but thanks for the clear and difficult to argue with answer.

This raises a question. If it "takes balls" to face fear... does chopping them off render you immune to fear, or afraid of everything? I defer to the wisdom of comedian Sheng Wang: "Why do people say "grow some balls"? Balls are weak and sensitive! If you really wanna get tough, grow a vagina. Those things take a pounding."~TWF I absolutely love that qoute.

Sorry for not being around as much lately. Feel ultra late for this. Just wanted to say congratulations and you have my utmost respect. I know coming out about such a thing couldn't have been easy and the fact that you did speaks immensely of your courage and your character. There are many hard choices in life and it takes a strong person to make those choices and go after their dreams. I'm glad to hear that you've had the strength to make that choice and you have my full support. I wish you all the best going into your new life.

Ah! You're Revan! I had been wondering that for a couple of days now. (That'll teach me to click on the username next time I do not recognize somebody!) Sorry, my bad. XD I don't know if I'm all that special, but thanks a lot for the kind words. It's very much appreciated.

Super stressed out. Friday... first appointment with my sexologist to get things started for good. My rational mind knows that everything's going to be fine. My logic tells me everything is going to go fine. My emotions tell me it's the end of the world, everyone is going mad, dogs and cats are living together, reality is about to fall apart, etc. Stupid emotions. ;D Why can't they listen to my rational mind and logic sometimes? I can't wait for Friday to be over and done with...

Speaking of something-cure, my sister offered me a manicure. I think I will collect on that offer. Listening to good music, taking deep breaths... I think I'm about as relaxed as I can be at the moment. XD

Remeber to get her to work extra hard on it.
As someone who's shall we say "In-transition" you should me doing twice the beauty treatments of a full fledged lady.
Ya know Twice the body lotion
twice the conditioner
twice the perfume
twice the pumice scrubbing.
(Wow... It's amazing how I can be so supportive, and so unabashedly sexist at the same time.
What the hell it's just a recomendation though. XD.)

LOL. Well, I'm possibly allergic to half of those things, so I'll go little by little anyway... Thanks for the support anyway. ^_^

Don't worry. It's not like the doctor's gonna ask you to strip naked for a before and after photo.
Is he?
The point is this process could be a lot worse.

As I said, I'm perfectly aware that there's nothing to be scared of... but my emotions just don't give a damn. It's like having a phobia of spiders. The little critter five millimeters wide on your wall is tiny, insignificant, entirely unable to harm you and so easy to kill it's not even funny... and yet I still am scared of it. XD EDIT: At any rate, this is precisely why I'm eager for the first appointment to be over. Once the 'terror of the unknown' is gone, going for the other appointments after this one will be much easier. ^_^
