CHANGES, CHOICES AND CONSEQUENCES
What is "Changes Choices and Consequences"?
A.k.a "C.C.C" for short. Changes Choices and Consequences is a game idea (I first thought of it as a One Shot, but the more I thought of it, the more ideas I got, so now it's a whole game) I had for a while now, and a roleplay experiment I thought would be fun to play with a bit, that is if I could find interested people to play the roles I wish to hand out. The idea is of four people who all start as normal human individuals, but changes will occur that will push them towards one of several possible fates I have in mind for each. While some of the initial events are bound to happen to get things started, what will really matter in the end will be the decisions the players will make, for several of them will heavily influence the aforementioned fates assigned to them, for the best or the worst, and will weigh in the Balance of Good and Evil as the game goes. Unlike many games where the general flow is decided in advance ("This is a game about heroes fighting against darkness...", "This is an evil game: you're all criminals with no hope nor wish for redemption..."), C.C.C has no clear goal in mind, and will be FAR more focused on the interactions between the main characters, their relationship with each other, their relationship with significant NPCs and the world at large, and of course, the choices they make. What happens with their character depends on the choices they make at certain points in the story we'll be telling together. There will be battles and adventure and other typical RPG goodness, but in the end, this game is heavily Roleplaying-based. So, obviously, I need good RPers who are not necessarily too much into the "kick door down - kill monsters - pick treasure up" and can accept less action-based adventures, even though there will be some of that too.
What is C.C.C's World like?
The "C.C.C-Verse" is a somewhat darker, modern day world nearly identical to our own (except that technology is a tiny bit slightly more advanced in some aspects or in the hands of some organizations), except most legends, myths and monsters existed at one point in one form or another, although usually mostly the darker ones, and still exist today, although in hiding. Most people are unaware of the horrors that crawl in the world's deepest shadows, going along with their lives as usual. The authorities help maintain the veil over the truth, possibly as to avoid causing panic. Still, from normal people's viewpoints, the world is basically the same as ours, and it seems no darker than ours as far as they are concerned... until they learn the truth.
So it's World of Darkness?
Similar, but not quite. It's my own version of a dark modern world with real monsters and things that crawl in the shadows. If you expect what is true in WoD to be true in C.C.C, you're in for a surprise or three. XD
Knowing you, is it an Anime World?
Again, kinda, but not quite. It's somewhat Anime-style in my mind, but think more 'Darker than Black' and 'Type-MOON' than 'Ranma 1/2' and 'One Piece'. There will be Anime-common contents and ideas, but no matter how hard you train, no one will ever mistake you for a normal human if you start punching through reinforced steel walls, jumping over buildings, surviving a hundred yards fall with but a few bruises and effortlessly lift five tons. Oh, some beings can definitely do it, of course... but they're definitely not human anymore (or were mystically altered or something) if they can do that. In other words, it's somewhat Anime, but not too much. So even if you don't like Anime, you might like this game. If you like Anime, you'll probably love it. Or so I think.
Rating?
Consider this game worthy of a "Restricted" or even "NC-17" rating. There might/will be violence, harsh language (censored if necessary, of course, but it will be there), gore, possible horrible deaths, psychological trauma, possible drug use, nudity, sensuality, etc, although the more shocking parts will be somewhat 'mentioned but not necessarily detailed' or 'skipped over' as necessary. I think it will be a very interesting world and roleplay experience, but I do not close any doors for this story. So, not for the faint-hearted, but if you can live with it, I believe you will love every part of it. It still deserves a warning, though.
What was that about you handling 'roles'?
While I am open to a bit of customization, I want the main characters I'll be accepting in the game to fit four archetypes, with some restrictions, specializations, advantages and personality traits for each. Obviously, I will leave a lot open to player interpretation, but I still want the players' concepts to respect said archetypes, because my story revolves around them, and I want them to be going at least somewhat according to plan... At least at first.
"At least at first?"
Yeah. For example, 'Concept A' at first will be a kind-hearted, easygoing and cheerful person. Now, as the story advances, the player could decide she strives to remain that way, despite what happens (Whoa, no spoilers). Or she could go the other way, in which case we could roleplay her descent into darkness. But at the beginning, she will be as I planned her to be, for several reasons, which I don't feel like revealing.
So what are the Archetypes?
Glad you asked. Here goes. Note, however, that those are merely the basic of what I want. Anything not mentioned can be altered, and you are by no means obligated to follow a given stereotype at all. For example, Concept B is said to be a nerd and a geek, as well as a loner. It doesn't mean he's not great to look at nor rejected by his peers. Maybe he's very handsome and popular, but dislikes most people and so is a loner because of that. Try to think outside the box and make the concept adapt to your ideas. Also remember that all four have great potential for power despite the initial low stone counts, and that a lot of things can change for the best or the worst.
CONCEPT A "The Protagonist" (Stone count= 15+15)
Gender: ♀
Age: 16-18
Occupation: High School Student, Gymnast, Possible member of a School club or another (possibly sports related)
Personality: Kind-hearted, easygoing, cheerful, optimistic and hopeful

CONCEPT B "The Wannabe Sorceror" (Stone count= 15+20)

CONCEPT D "The Detective" (Stonce count= 25+15)
Gender: ♂ or ♀
Age: 25-45
Occupation: Former Police Detective, Now Private Eye, Occult Nut
Personality: Investigative, courageous, curious. Wishes to learn the truth, despite his/her fears. Often ridiculed by his/her former colleagues for his/her acceptance of jobs having an occult side to them (possibly also because of her gender if female, due to her former job being a mostly male-dominated environment), but ignores them and finds pride in his/her work. Quick on his/her feet, but rather unlucky. Possibly alcoholic to ease the pain and stress.
Suggested Actions/Modifiers/Specialties: Good General Knowledge (Occult Lore), Decent Close Combat (Brawler), Decent Ranged Combat (Revolver), Professional Private Investigating, Good Intelligence, Decent Strength, Agility and Durability, Vehicle Operations (Light vehicles).
Notes: Lives alone, lost loved one (Husband/wife? One of his/her parents? Brother/sister?) to the supernatural, a death he/she could never fully explain and which sparked his/her interest for the supernatural. Fully aware that one day, his/her luck is going to run dry.

No CADs allowed yet!
I want to see interest, and concepts, first. Oh, and I encourage links between the main characters, although it is only mandatory if mentioned above.
....Soooooooo... any questions? any takers? (P.S: It's not a first come first serve. I seek quality over speed.)
